Just wondering if anyone can confirm if the stock email app allows HTML messages when hooked up to an Exchange account using activesync?
My old Desire HD never would only ever support plain text, so would be nice if this has changed.

Hey, hope some one here can help as its driving me up the wall.
I have gone from the HTC HD2 which was great for my mail as I use hotmail.
I now have Desire HD but hotmail seems to be a big problem for it.
First problem I had was I could not get hotmail setup using Microsoft Exchange, after the recent update I can now get it to conncect So I can now view all my folders which is what I needed as I have used hotmail for 10 years and have all my mail set into folders. Problem I now have is I can see my folders but cant open any of my mail using HTML. It all wants to open in plain text
Why cant this great device seem to do somthing as simple as push mail form my hotmail, show my folders and open my mail in html so I can view them in full??
anybody else got this problem and have this sorted?
Thanks nathan
So I just got the Nexus today and so far I am loving it. One thing that is annoying me is that exchange contact pictures aren't showing up in the mail client. In fact for those colleagues that I have in my phone's contact list the email client is not recognizing them as the same contact. This worked without issue on my Rezound but that was using the HTC Sense email client. Is there a setting somewhere I need to change to get this to work on the Nexus?
I am using the stock e-mail with exchange server. However, since I have server based filters that divert emails to specific folders, I am getting only the emails that arrive to my Inbox and not the other e-mails? Any solution to that problem before replacing the stock with something else (Moxier or touchdown)? Thanks
Hi,
Our company recently moved to a new cloud based exchange environment. After setting up my Nexus (4.1.2 - latest BlackBean) towards the new Active Sync server Exchange sent me an automated mail saying I now could send and receive text messages in Outlook.
And, without doing anything my SMS's starting popping into my inbox as they arrieved on my phone. Sweet.
Problem is the other way. By pressing ctrl+shift+T I can write SMS in Outlook, send them and they end up in the sent items. However, they are not delieverd. They should be synced with my phone and then sent out via GSM.
Apparantly this works fine on my colleagues Galaxy SIII using the native e-mail client.
Has anyone succesfully managed to send and receive SMS via Outlook with a Nexus? If so, how did ya do that? :fingers-crossed:
I have a customer that is having issues with her yahoo email. First, the problem she had was that everytime a new email came in. It would show some form of spam message in the notification bar but when you clicked on it it would go to the right email. I recommended remvoing the email account and re adding it to the phone. Now she's not having that problem but she's not getting any notifications and old emails that she had read are now showing up unread after refreshing the email account. any help will be greatly appreciated.
Is she using the default email app or the Y! Mail app from Yahoo? I haven't had the issues you described when using either one, but maybe she can try a different app than the one she's using now.
She's using the phone email app. I tried the Yahoo mail app but it wouldn't show old emails because it's a business's email.

Hmmm... not sure - I don't know why being a business email would have any issue with showing old emails on Yahoo. Only other thought I had was to try a different email client like K-9 or Mail Droid and see if you have better luck with that.
