[REQ] MIUI contacts and messenger app

Wonder if anyone can do a hack for the MIUI messenging and Contacts for CM :?
I know there are plenty of us that LOVE CM but hate the stock messaging app, go sms, etc.
so was wondering if someone was either working on it. or could maybe in the future :?

i just love miui's cleannesss. but i love cm7's smoothness. its so hard to decide. so why not ask for a mix of the 2 ;x

Are you asking for a theme that would make CM9 look like MIUI4? If so I'd say you are out of luck. IMO the things that make MIUI interesting go much further than the items that could be themed over on CM9.

A MIUI V4 look alike based on cm9 "with all the features" of MIUI V4 would be MIUI V4.

we have source for it but they havent got around to do anything with it from the sounds of it

They never released full source... just patch code.

Font or be fonted

So I'm running the peoples rom on my new epic (and it's amazing) but I was wanting to install a font from rom toolbox and was wondering if that would hurt anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't work on cm9 but any other rom will work just fine. You could just use font installer .

Modem (baseband) seems to be personal choice these days. As a habit I always go with the latest official but it is what works best for you.

I always use the latest official so am currently on FC09 but have seen no change from when I was on the EL30. Either one can be odin'd in or put in through a series of flashables.

Turn off capacitive buttons

I know CM9 has this feature where
The capacitive buttons turn off until u click them again. Can this be done on gingerbread? I'm running The people's Rom 2.2

Despite this smart remark... he is correct it has to be written into the framework or would require the kernel to have the the code to disable it and an app to toggle it disabling and enabling.

Just run cm7. That's gingerbread and it has a lights disable feature like cm9 does.
