i tried nearly everything and it isnt working too,
maybe i will flash my phone with the newest update and do a hardreset, the problem should be done after that ;-)
but thx thx thx for your help
PS: Does someone know when there will be the first Custom Roms for this Phone because than it would be worth it to wait?
I'm having the same problem as well; accidentally deleted--frankly I don't recall doing it--my stock browser, which is my preferred browser.
Can anyone point me to where I can download it from? Or upload the .apk here? I downloaded the improved deodexed browser from another thread but am not able to install it despite changing the permissions and using root explorer. If I save the browser from Galaxy S, will it be the same?
TIA.

Thanks in advance!

I've got this issue too - I put this two files in the /system/app folder, changed permissions - but it keeps crashing.
Help ?
Can anyone re-up the browser.apk and the other file? Links are offline.
Hi guys!
Daily briefing on latest odexed JVR is corrupted. I want to share working apk for all gingerbread roms.
How to install:
1) If you're on odexed rom, just delete system/app/infoalarm.apk and infoalarm.odex
1) If you re on deodexed rom, just delete sytem/app/infoalarm.apk
2) Download the infoalarm.apk on attachment and copy it to system/app
It's done.
Maybe this can work on cm7 roms. I didn't try it. I think it works.
Note: You need root explorer or adb shell. You can use ES file explorer - free on market.
Please click thanks button.
Thank you!
Working perfectly on stock ODEX JVR.
I'm on a stock odexed JVR firmware and my phone doesn't have daily briefing, no Infoalarm.apk in /system/app/ .
I'll give this a try.

hi
I have a problem: I have upgraded this JW1 firmware via Kies (XEN), rooted with stock+ kernel and via root explorer I have installed infoalarm.apk in /system/app. deleting the ugly MMMsamsung, Bol and fileindex which are quite useless. I have checked the permissions and the owner in the infoalarm.apk but the software refuses to install, also when I restart the phone, anyone has any idea?
Will this work on ICS?
used to work in JVQ
... but since I flashed JVZ it refuses to install

Don´t have the semccalendar apk either, i tryied with one from Xperia S that it was supposed to work, moved to system/app, set the right permissions, reboot...but didn´t work.
Found this mod in the SXS forum.
Modded InfiniteView.apk that allows for full screen contact image in contacts and full (top half) image in dialer.
In contacts infinite view the square image tends to get stretched, but in dialer it shows up correctly.
It's actually pretty nice. This modded app from the S is smaller than our stock version so I'm not sure of the differences in base functions but it seems like everything is there.
The mod is packaged as an install bat for the S. I extracted the apk and installed manually.

Root needed?
Yes, since it's replacing a system app.
Cool, I was disappointed coming from the Vivid which had full image icon. Thanks for the find. It's amazing how much I learned about android system with all the mods cuz not a lot of devs for our device.

Back up your old InfiniteView.
Copy the modded InfiniteView to /system.
Change permissions to rw- r-- r--
Copy/move the modded InfiniteView to /system/apps (this will overwrite your original)
Reboot.

Using your explorer, randomly pick any app and see its permission. Make the permission of the modded InfiniteView app similar to that app.

any reason this would not work with the OC'd 3.7 firmware? I remember this working on 2.68 a couple of months ago, then i reflashed the rom, tried the mod a couple of days ago and there is no change. Checked and rechecked permissions, did everything in these comments..
Thanks for the app
Gonna use it tonight!

I couldn't find image enhancer app, but included ImageProcessorPermission as i thought this is the closest to it. If it has different name i can find it and upload it.

Sorry if this is a silly question. But my Z Ultra 5.1.1 version also has the same build (14.6.A.0.368) and basically z1/zu are identical for the most part, but this is system files involved - truly risky business, can I use this deodex patch for my device?

You may make a nandroid backup via TWRP, and try it by yourself, without any risk being involved. If there is no real difference between the devices, you won't have any problems. But in case something gets wrong, just restore your backup. Please try and tell us the result.
Works great on Sony Xperia Z1 with official 5.1.1. Thanks!

Yes, JoelDroid hasn't been updated for long.
Just make sure you copy SemcGenericUxpRes from /framework and ChromeCustomizations and ims from /vendor/app folder to /system/app, in order to get them deodexed, too.

Hi, I have followed your method (using svadeodexer), and the results (with no errors in the log) were 3 folders (app, framework, priv-app), can you tell me how to make a flashable zip out of these 3, and is there any additional step to take before flashing the resulted zip in recovery? thanks very much

Yes, of course, but have you also deodexed three other files I mentioned? Creating a flashable zip is not mandatory, as you may just copy the files directly. If you really want to create one, you have to get an android script (or copy it) or create your own (there are plenty tutorials available). Finally, a nandroid backup is mandatory because you can't be sure that the zip will act as expected, and after installation, the deletion of all .dex files located in /system is important, too.

thanks for your instructions, I've added the three additional folders, deodex using SVA, then copy/replace in recovery mode everything works beautifullly
ok i need some help to make my rom deodexed with 5.1.1 firmware. I ve got all files and i want to replaced the odex files by the deodex ones To do this i used Ubuntu with this commands.
(Copy system.ext4 to linux machine, run commands as root or with sudo)
mkdir -p /vdisk
mount -o loop system.ext4 /vdisk
cd /vdisk
(make changes as you want, make sure replaced file have same permission as previous one)
(after you finish making changes: )
umount /vdisk
(copy system.ext4 back inside zip)
The problem is that i am doing something wrong when replaced the folders app framework and priv-app into the system and the system.ext4 image i think get corrupt and doesnt boot up and i lost recovery. If someone can put me in the right dirección in the way i have to replaced this folders i would really aprecciatted. I have to say that i did this with the 5.02 firmware and have no problems so i dont know really what i doing wrong.
