White galaxy nexus for Verizon - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Doors anybody know when will Verizon start carrying the white one with the improved processor that's on the sprint nexus. That's the one I'm waiting for , and pretty much matches up with the one x and gs3 in terms of specs, thanks

There is no improved processor in the white galaxy nexus from sprint.

No there isn't but rumor was that Verizon is getting the white one, and since sprint has the improved ti omap 4470 on the nexus,I was wondering if anyone new when it will be out as it will also have the ti omap 4470
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA

Instead of the 4460 that's on Verizon and international version

This thread is nutty.
No Galaxy Nexus has anything but an Omap 4460 in it, clocked at 1.2ghz. You are working off of rumors...from like 3-4 months ago.

White shows dirt easier, imo.

Definitely not. I have a white one and it still locks good. Maybe it would show dirt if I had thrown it in the dirt but who does that with a phone?

A phone doesn't have to be thrown in a pile of dirt to get dirty. Your jeans pockets are dirty. Your hands are dirty. Your desk is dirty...

Might not want to believe everything you read on de interwebz, my friend... especially when it was a hastily published, not adequately researched bit of "journalism" from late January that's long since been debunked. An ad department typo and a single anonymously posted benchmark simply didn't add up to an authoritative source.
It is a verifiable fact that the Sprint Galaxy Nexus, just like every other variant of this phone, uses the OMAP 4460. And by verifiable, I mean you can go straight to the source-- Samsung as well as Sprint and they confirm the SoC used is the OMAP 4460.

I thought it was a for sure thing I wonder in what device will they put the ti omap 4470 chip.

Transmission sent from a Galaxy S II, CODENAME style.
You know the sad part is. With just how TouchWiz looks now unless Samsung is/has a TouchWiz 5 that no one has seen as of yet I can see the phone having the buttons at the bottom still which I would honestly hate to see that. But just going off of what TW looks like and no look at a new version (like a total revamp for ICS not up an update to work with it) it could very well happen.

S3 not much better than S2???? You decide ....

Got my (blue) S3 yesterday, and I'm sending it back and sticking with my S2. It's too big and too ugly. I think a lot of people are going to have a shock when they see the bright purple menu button for the first time. And the overall the shape is just too rounded, which makes it unnecessarily larger at the sides. Screen is great, but other Incremental improvements over the S2 just don't swing the extra £15/ mo cost for me

Galaxy Nexus Waterproof case?

Does one exist?
I haven't done any extensive search but I looked the other day and stopped at some kind of plastic pouch.
So I don't think so. I'd try eBay, maybe some Korean or Chinese seller has one.

I wouldn't trust a ziploc bag to last anytime submerged. MAYBE against splashes, but I'd rather use something more reliable.

I personally have taken my phone under water using a generic water proof bag. They were 3 for $10 USD. the only problem I had was if the water put pressure on the screen it would go crazy..... I just added more air to it and held it so I had to push through the air to select what I want. Ie picture or video

Here's a short video I took so u can get an idea of how it is underwater also.

Well but the skin is definetely not made for a daily use i reckon, I mean to make sure it is 100% waterproof you always have to use a new strip of sealing tape after charging, right?
Would be good to have a modified battery cover for contactless charging. I´m starting to work on a diving base for the next 2 months, and would be good to have something covering my GNx from water.

This is true. The lifeproof case cost over a million USD to develop, and they lucked out that the iPhone 4s was compatible. Not nearly enough people own enough Gnex to make it profitable, plus the GSM would need a completely different case from the LTE. FInally, my own experience with the case sucked. You can only take it off/on 50x before it breaks (not waterproof) and it destroys sensitivity. It's something you only want when theres water around, but you can only take it off/on 50x which sucks. Also, you have to test it every time before you submerge it. The waterproof bags are way better IMO.

Its Finally Here!!!

I personally think that lazy or rushed design like that shouldn't be rewarded with my money and then after sale labor to bring it up to nominal working order.

Q. about High Capacity Gold Battery

I've found this High Capacity Battery on eBay.
What I don't understand well is they say: "Compatible With Samsung Galaxy Nexus i9250(No NFC)".
Why do they specify "No NFC".
I'm wondering what it has to do with the battery? Is is voltaje/mhA thing? Is it a battery format (size) thing?
I have actually no clue. I thought all GNex had NFC, isn't it te case? Mine has the checkbox to enable/disable NFC but I haven't ever used it, so I don't even know.
Nfc is built in the battery.
