I have the Sixxaxis app that lets you use a PS3 controller on android devices but can't seem to figure out how to configure it to emulate the same button configuration as the Xperia Play hardware controls. Anyone use this and have it setup working okay. Specifically I want to play Nova and Modern Combat 3 using the dual shock cause I can't stand the touchpads.

Hi all,
I am interested to get this controller. I wonder if anyone can tell me if it can theoritically work on games not ported from playstation? (eg brothers in arms from gameloft)
As you can see from the video, it works on S2 for mario

This is partly connected to Bluez-IME. In theory Bluez-IME can emulate the Xperia controls hence Gameloft games should work with Phonejoy. However for some reason in many games just the d-pad appears to be working as of yet. The issue is known however to the dev Kenneth (http://code.google.com/p/android-bluez-ime/issues/detail?id=66) and I think he is looking into it.
In part 2 of the video he uses it with Samurai Vengeance and it works rather well i might add (around 9:18min mark):

I use a PS3 controller and the sixaxis app for my N64 emulator on my phone, but that doesnt allow me to to use it in games which are just touch screen controls I might have to check out Bluez-IME to see if it can help out!
Hi! I just wonder if anyone knows if it will be possible to play Xperia Play games, or touch controlled games like Backstab, N.O.V.A, Guerilla Bob, etc., using a wireless game controller attached to the new Live Dock Multimedia Station? Or do we have to use emulators like FPse to play games with a wireless controller attached to the Live Dock?
I think you will have to have an emulator, because the play has an specific PlayStation suite and we dont have that.

It requires root access, and the app is still buggy.
Hi there.
I would like to know if there's any way to use our Xperia Play and its game controls to play on Windows (7 or 8) via Bluetooth (not wifi).
I know this has been asked some time, but I haven't found any good solution.
Nobody knows anything about this? O__o
For Bluetooth, i think you can use DroidMote. Droidmote allows you to connect to a PC through Bluetooth i believe and use it as a mouse, keyboard, or Gamepad. It wasn't very good as a gamepad to me because you cannot press more than one button at a time. If you can settle for a WiFi Gamepad, i really recommend nJoy. nJoy allows you to connect through WiFi if the PC is on the same network and use it as a mouse, keyboard, and Gamepad. This is the best to me because you can press more buttons like a real controller and it is remappable straight away. The only downside to nJoy is that it's not free, but it isn't too expensive and i would definitely say they deserve the money for such a great app.
Ok I finally did it.
It's easy, just get an app that lets you use your mobile as a gamepad via bluetooth using its onscreen controls, then you get Game Keyboard to play on those onscreen controls with the controls of the Xperia Play. And voilá, you will use the Xperia Play as a bluetooth gamepad on Windows.
So I used Ultimate Gamepad + Game Keyboard. Sad that there's no app that supports the Xperia Play touchpad, that + Game Keyboard would be perfect... Isn't there any gamepad app that has obviously the normal game controls (d-pad, action buttons...) but has analog sticks on the onscreen controls?

HI. Im into Retro Gaming and I would like to ask if it's possible to pair HTC 10 with such devices. I would just play with Emulators, namely for NES, SNES, Genesis & PlayStation.
Thankyou.
Should be fine, I use a PS3 sixaxis controller and epsxe without any problems.
You do need to use an app called sixaxis controller and be rooted for the app to work though as far as I know.
Unfortunately, the PS5 does not use a standard HID controller, so the buttons are not set correctly. Fortunately, emulator programs are able to remap the buttons. This way you can play our favorite games with it.
