[Q] - Where is the HTC News Widget ? - HTC One X

Hi all.
Bought new HTC One X this week, i was messing around but i cant find the news widget from htc that pulls google reader news like in previous sense versions
i miss this widget a lot lol .. i know there are dozens of alternatives on market .. but they are not sense like
anyone knows any info about this or why htc removed it ?

i don't know about HTC branded news, but mine has News and Weather which is the standard Google widget with a weather tab and different categories of random news pulled from random sites.

Yeah, but that is not standard htc widget which is available on older Sense(3.6 or older)...
Unofrtinately, htc has removed it, it would be so awesome if somebody can port it...

i got the google news and weather widget by google .. but nothing compared to htc news widget ...
the htc news syncs with google reader ...
well ... maybe someone can port it .. or htc includes in a update
lets hope

Try the Scrollable News Widget from Google Play.
It's a good alternative

It is a shame but there are loads of (better) replacements if you look around...

Very nice - which widget is that then?

Though it doesn't have a widget, Google Currents does a nice job of replicating all the functions of the HTC News app.

I can't buy apps in my country, but i've got market access, and i've bought Beautiful Widgets but i don't like them that much. If you could manage to upload a barcode or something that would be awesome!
there you go
Thanks, and it was free btw
really? it's 0.99 on the market so lucky you

Looking for a particular clock widget.

Hello- Let me start by saying hello and cheers to everyone here for posting tutorials and links to your great mod work. I am an Android noob but learning.
Anyway, I am looking for a digital clock widget that the user can place anywhere on the homescreen he chooses.
Does anyone know if anything like this is available ??
Cheers for any help.
Thank You, LL-
D-clock widget is a nice one, it has no weather only the clock. But if you want weather too look out for beautiful widget, weather and toggle widget or fancy widget. Thise are the ones i have used and they work fine.
Try ( clockr )
looks beautiful and can be placed any where i guess
Cheers for the help guys.
I have also figured something out which was probably known to most anyway, if you press your finger on any widget clock just wait till the delete trash can pops up and you can drag and drop any clock anywhere on the homescreen.

Cheers, LL-
Clockr is very nice but very unstable right now (occasionally stops updating the time, or FCing.) Thus it has been taken off the market. Hopefully it should be fixed soon.
try beautiful widgets there is a reason it is one of the most popular pay apps, it has clocks and weather.
there are literally hundreds of different clocks.
Beautiful widgets does not have a standalone clock only widget.
I just tried d-clock widget, it is indeed very nice and slick.
Try Digital Clock Widget by Maize.
It's free, has a basic digital clock with the date
It looks like this........

[Q] HTC Agenda View Widget?

Hi All,
Anyone know of a calendar widget (agenda) for the G2? I like the stock HTC one from my old myTouch Slide 3G. The stock one for the G2 is not good and doesn't have an agenda view.
Thanks!
Search the market for "everybody all the time" I love their agenda widget

The first one is "Pure Calendar Widget" with the "Transparent" skin. CalWidget is basically the same thing, but I like Pure Calendar better.
The second one is the calendar widget that comes with LauncherPro Plus.
I use Android Agenda Widget. It's very customizable (I turned off all of the added buttons and features so it's pretty much just a scrollable list of my upcoming appointments).
See here for an example:

Android agenda widget is what your looking for, as someone else said it is very customizable as well. I had the same issue coming from the slide.

Thank you, everyone!
Ok, I finally found something very close to the stock HTC myTouch 3G Slide agenda widget:
I downloaded Simple Calendar FREE from the Android Market.
Thank you everyone for the suggestions!

I have weatherbug elite the paid one and its not a widget from that. I am trying to get it ported over from the charge system dumo right now. Once I get it all figured out ill give credit where need be and post it or link it
I still like my beautiful Widgets home weather.
Sent From My Evo Killer!!
This widget is made by a collaboration between Samsung and Weatherbug, similer to the widget that is used in fascinate/ Galaxy S. That widget looks the same on respective phones, but the weather data on fascinate is provided by weatherbug where as the international version of the Galaxy S received its services from Accuweather. Since samsung made this widget and weatherbug only provides the weather data, its not available in android market and not a product of weatherbug.
That being said, I would love to have this on my Galaxy S. It looks really nice. Maybe samsung will upload it in the Samsung Apps market like they did with the stock weather app. Or maybe not. Mostly maybe not

Lock pretty, and vould be nice if somebody spend his time to port this widget
I took the apk (DigitalClockWidget2) from the 43_A700_RV07RC06_EMEA_FR.zip rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720157 (tnx paugustin)
installed it as a normal apk and it says installed (see pic) and it's in the widgets list but when I try to add the widget to the homescreen it says application not installed ... hmm ... i'm guessing it needs some more files or libs or whatnot, maybe someone can pick the ball up from here
yes please if someone could port it pleaaase love it!
Thanks in advance!

It might be like motorola widgets, it needs Acer launcher to be added as widget on the home screen, but I can't find acer's launcher, you may give it a try

Nope, I have Iconia A500, and I can use those widgets at any launcher. Maybe build.prop checks or framework?
