CM9 music player

I ran into an interesting article that can pertain to a number of you who want a good music app.

Apparently it doesn't support Google Music, which sucks. Can't really see the use in this for me if it doesn't support that. :/

ahhh that sucks, i was wondering about this. thanks for the clarification. although i don't mind the stock player at all.. haven't found any problems with it so far?

My issues with the stock player with google music:
- status bar disappears in Landscape: WHY? Thats so stupid
- Landscape mode is annoying to use, i want a listing of my music, not cover art. It should have view options. I want my landscape artist mode to show this:
| album art | Artist
| album art | Artist 2
But, I cant use a different player, since Google hasn't released APIs for Google Music, so no other player will be able to support it.

I would still recommend MIUI Music over this. Much better UI.

Gapless playing with walkman app?

Hi !
I have the Walkman 5.0.A.0.11 app on my ICS Xperia, and I find the gap between tracks really annoying (~0.5 to 1 sec).
I've read somewhere the latest xperias have gapless reading of audio files.
Is there a trick to enable this? A more recent app?

I have the arc and a walkman app, but there's no gap between songs :/ Maybe the issue is the version of the walkman. Which mod is it? It may depend on the different mods of walkmans around here

[Q] google play music player

album art loads sometimes without any problem sometime i have to click the like icon on the player then the album art comes up.
Dont know weather this is aknown bug or only with me?

This may be unrelated entirely, but when I installed the MusicBox mod this morning, Google Play Music started having issues...but it was force closing, not having album art issues. Like I said, may be unrelated (and probably is) but thought I'd let you know if you have installed MusicBox recently.

Try using PowerAmp or the stock music player.
Musicbox wont work with PA but u can enable beats.
Anyway try some AOSP Rom if u want to play with Enhancers.

Well, the only reason that I have been sticking with Google Play Music is because I have all of my music online (and can manage it online), so I do not have to take up valuable storage room on my SD Card with music files. Is there another music player out there that will utilize my collection on Play Music other than Google's?

Google Play Music lag?

I'm running PA 3.69 as found here and I find whenever I stream music through Play Music, the UI gets extremely choppy. Closing Play Music does not fix this, nor does killing the task. Only rebooting the phone, or, strangely enough, playing a full screen video on YouTube/Netflix does.
Of course, I'm new to this site so i can't post in the thread to ask why/notify them of this issue, so I'm wondering, has anyone else encountered this? It didn't happen on stock or CM10. I use my phone to play music quite a bit so it's a dealbreaker for this rom which I'm enjoying quite a bit.

Same here, using PA 4.4 (4.4.4) and lastest version of google play music (moto G)

Hey, try to Uninstall xposed if you got one, maybe it's the case. (so it was for me)

How can i install stock rom's music app on cm11? I pushed apk of music and musicfx in system/app/ and music appeared in menu . but when i opened it, it showed song list, album list, etc but crashed when i try to play something.

is that mix radio?

Yeah virgo sun was talking abt mix radio. Anyway can u tell me if I can install Music from stock to CM11? Apollo is good but for some reason there are glitches sometimes. Using VLC right now.

i dunno about it but i think you cant because it different framework, maybe you can find on play store who make music player app like apollo.

Yeah there are plenty of them and I have no complain with vlc. Just wanted to know if it was possible:silly:
