I'm a new owner of the HTC One X..and my edge just won't work (yes I live in a dumb country with no 3G). My One X keeps saying my APN settings are invalid, while they're not. The only thing that seems out of place compared to my friend's GS2 is the MNC on his is 12 while mine is 219..and his authentication is PAP while default is none. When I attempt to change the MNC however, I click save and it just magically disappears. I've tried one other sim and the phone got data without a glitch, but idk what's wrong with this one and this sim is fine cuz it works in any other phone. Anyone know what I can do ? I've tried everything...thanks for any help in advance. It's much much appreciated. Really disappointed at such a dumb issue.

I heard you need to use an older micro sim card or cut a sim card to be compatible with the data apn settings.

What's the difference between the older one and newer one though ? Why would it cause the edge not to work ?

Firmware issues I'm guessing. The old one for T-Mobile is compatible on edge for the HOX to connect with the corresponding frequency bands.

The MCC and MNC is based on your sim card number. It's not something you can change, unless you get a different sim.
same problem

UnlockedNand stated the older T-mobile sims are compatible with edge. Try getting one and see. I'm gonna try getting an older sim myself and testing. Problem is, not much phones use a micro sim . Will post back if I get it running though.
Thanks for the help guys

Anyone tried one of the myriad of Dual SIM adapters in a Desire yet ?
From what i've seen there is one which you cut your SIM and put 2 in a holder which should fit into the standard SIM slot, but i'd rather not cut my SIM. The second type of dual SIM holder is one which the second SIM is typically folded over the battery with a ribbon cableSP2,,{/w].
So has anyone tried the second type please and does the battery cover fit ok after the adapter is inserted ?
(yes i know two SIM's cannot be active at the same time, but i need the switchable feature without popping out the battery every time i travel out of country for work where the roaming charges are ridiculous)
I tried both with my touch hd. The battery was heavily affected even if manufacterer said it wouldn't.
Now i just carry two phones

I tried the "MagicSIM 2008 20th edition" from deal extreme, it only worked when the Desire was locked to GSM mode only.
3G mode didn't work in a Nokia handset either, so I think the switcher was to blame rather than the Desire causing issues.

I have Simore Dual Sim in my Desire, but he only see one sim card. So i cannot recomend it.
any updates?
I use Simore Platinum, work well. Some time lost a 2 SIM, I have to remove the adapter and check the SIM is a good position.

How does it work with data communication?
I mean if you have SIM1 with one operator and specific APN, when you change to SIM2 with different APN how does that work??
Other question, how do you change SIM, I guess via Simore software. Is it good?, is it fast in change from one active SIM1 to activate other SIM2?
Sorry but I never had dual sim adapter (only dual sim dual standby phones) in a smartphone.

Number Hide and Number Edit.
I ended up getting the 26th cutting for my HTC desire off ebay. If you email the guy who's selling the no-cut version (he's the cheapest i could find) he also sells the cutting version which works with the HTC Desire. I've had it working for a few days now.....running smoothly! I'll report back in a week or so and let u all know if its still running nice.
Not sure what the No.Hide and No.Edit functions do....i might email the guy i bought it off and ask

This is still working great. For anyone who's interested I've also had it working in my Girlfriends HTC Wildfire.

Dose anyone know if you can get one that works with the 3 UK network? Most of the ones I've seen say they are not compatible with 3 UK network.
Is anyone using the HTC one X international version on AT&T?
Did you have to go and get a microSIM at the store?
I just ordered an unlocked version and I want to make sure I can use it without any issues.
Thank you for the help.

If you are provisioned for Android's HSPA+ plans you should be able to just cut your sim card and use it in the phone without any fuss.
You can just cut your current sim into a micro sim.
You don't need to change data plans so long as you were on an iPhone or smartphone beforehand. But you can if you want.
Just got mine today and it works great. I just changed to a micro and grabbed a sim adapter to go back to full when I use my Note. Didn't have to do anything else to get it up and running. Amazing phone
You don't need to pay more than 15 bucks for data unlimited data. Non smartphone is the same speed. They don't know its a smartphone if you dont tell them.

Not always true.....some international phones don't work with medianet
At least I've read some Galaxy Nexus GSM don't work, the companies give AT&T IMEI's sometimes.
I have the international version of the One X running on AT&T in Los Angeles/ San Diego area. I am loving it. No downsides to going with the international version except you wont get LTE. The data connection is still very fast though and completely functional.
The One X micro sim is easy to make. Cut your sim with a butcher knife and a cutting board. Its harder if you dont have a friends micro sim as an example. You are going to love this phone.
I have the note too with an adapter since I came from the 4s. The one x works great with AT&T but my unlocked note gets slightly better data speeds. Like a gb more dl about the same upload compared to the x

International One X uses Tegra 3, no LTE

Hello, I have a T-Mobile galaxy s2 my friend will trade me his international one x and I'll add 70 bucks on my side, now do you guys think its a good deal or not? Also I'm currently on the T-Mobile prepaid 30$ 5GB plan. Will I need to get an older sim for it to work?? I just need text and calls to work the day I get it, then I'll just get an older sim. It should work with the newer sim I'm using on my s2 just to make text and calls right? And are any of you users on edge with tmobile and how did you do it so I can get ready on what to ask T-Mobile when I go to the store.
Thanks

No, but you can simulate it and mayb possible in the near future. I think i am going to order it too.. But need a new case then lol
FAQ on some other site:
Q24. Can the two numbers be on line at the same time
Answer: As one mobile with only one receiver, it is very difficult to make two sim cards online at the same time? Anyway, we are never stop making efforts to this direction.
The present method to solve is if you set calling divert service for two sim card, two sim cards will be online at the same time.

The "simulation" is nothing to do with this dual sim adapter; you can set a divert from any sim to your One X sim, so calls from that sim come through to the One X as well.
I don't think feature won't come any time soon either.

Interesting....wonder will it take a normal SIM and a micro SIM in the adaptor.
Sometimes you need at oversea station
It arrived! (only taking a couple days) and its been working well so far. Very satisfied!
The "2 sims online" option is for timed switching (so you can set it to switch sims every 10 mins etc)
For anyone interested this is the exact item i bought...

Honestly this is really cool! I have a few questions though. If I have a 3G data bundled line and a normal 2G line, will I be able to keep the data on permanently while switching between the two lines for calls only? My guess is no
And the 2 slots are for microsim only right?
I wonder if this can fit into my Otterbox commuter.

When I bought my HOX, the lady at the AT&T store gave me a new, smaller sim for my One X. Since I got stuck on 2.20 and can't unlock/root/flash anything on my One X, I miss CM10 and thought I'd take the GNex for a spin today. Well, that won't be happening since the sim cards aren't the same size. Is there a way that I can still use my GNex with AT&T? Maybe there's an adaptor or something I can use?

Yes. You'll need an adapter from micro-sim to mini-sim. Example: http://microsim-shop.com/
Or you can line up the contacts , it will work, but not recommended.
