S3 eyes app - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The S3 has an app that makes the front cam to keep scanning your eyes, if you are not watching the screen, the phone will turn it off.. But will keep it on if your watching it.
Guess thats part of the s3 rom/touchwiz but in fact its annoying to read say a pdf file and turn on the screen or touch it every 15 seconds or setted time for it to go off to be able to keep reading..
Its there and app out there able to do this or any rom out there capable of this?

His post was an hour before yours.

Well Actually is not an issue topic or anything that anyone could find easy by searching or like an old topic so excuse me for not scrolling 1 hour down on my screen but by the time i posted, there was no thread about it any where close to the top 20 threads wich its what i always check for new topic
Edit: so the person who wrote last on that thread.. Did it 16 seconds earlier than me.. So i was writing this by the time the other thread bumped

Samsung Galaxy S2 Light Bleed Effect Near Power Button

I've posted this on several forums, since I haven't seen anyone bring this issue up yet.
Basically, I've noticed on the Phone screen and on the Clock screen, there seems to be this "Light Bleeding" effect near the power button. I went back to the Sprint store and confirmed that it's an issue as their display device had the same problem, and a new device they opened had the same issue. I don't know if it's just a bad batch of phones, or if this is some sort of software issue that'll get addressed in an update.
Anyone notice this?
Erm, dude... This "bleeding" effect means there's a tab there. Just scroll your finger on the tab bar, and *BAM* a new one will appear
Yh lol took me a while to find that out as well. Was looking for the keypad for ages
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
i have light going true just by the home button on back button side. damn
If it truly was light bleed then a screenshot would not show it. As above, it means there's tabs to the right. Grab the tabs and scroll for more
Got the same answer in another forum. Thanks for the quick response. First time using Android coming from BB. I'm sure there will be more things come up that I won't know about.
I know you are a new user, so you didn't know this, but how come sprint staff didn't know this?
this is just a visual effect to signify off screen tabs and not a hardware/software error, should really edit your post to site you made a mistake and made a hasty thread, not to mention the dumb ass reps at Sprint, just shows resellers dont have a clue when it comes to what they are actually selling.
That was funny
OMG

Lol! No way!
How would a screenshot show a screen fault anyway?

Wow one of the most stupid posts this month. And Sprint staff? Either that's a blatant lie or they are as stupid as you which I doubt...

I didn't say there was a light leak. I said there was an effect that looked as such. I went through the proper channels (Sprint Corporate Store > Searched Online) and finally I asked in the forum. If that, and asking questions shows stupidity, then your reply can only assert even more ignorance. If you really have nothing to say that deals with the topic, then you'd be better off not replying at all.
Thanks.
Lmao that brilliant. Haha just noticed mines an arrow i want it to bleed too

I actually thought there was some fault with my phone in the start as well, but then i found out i could scroll that bar Also since it only showed in a few apps i came to the conclusion, after a bit, that it's there to tell me i can scroll.

I had this problem on my vibrant SO MUCH (like maybe 15 texts per day did this). Then I had it on my Galaxy S 4G (less but still alot). Now I rarely have it on my Galaxy S 2. No idea what could cause this issue but it seems to be getting better down the generations lol
I've had only about.......5 since I got my phone.

on my galaxy S 2, it might happened maybe 3-4 times since the 3 months I've had the phone
Yup.
Happens to me on a frequent basis. I have a launch release GS2 and it seems to happen to me on a frequent basis. I'm not sure what it is but it also happens a lot when it's converted to mms. I hope this gets fixed with ICS.

Actually. Not boosting my post count. I have been having a problem with the lockscreen on my current ROM. It's unlocking itself and opening this app as I am walking around. Sorry guys looking for a fix on this

I had this happen to me a couple weeks ago. I called t-mo and told the rep what was going on. He told me to reset my phone and he did something on his end. After that I haven't had a problem since.

New Galaxy Nexus owner

I upgraded to the Galaxy Nexus a little while ago and am officially decommissioning my Droid Incredible 2 (but I'll still keep it as a backup just in case). I won't have time to root it until this weekend, but once I do, I look forward to sharing my ROM flashing adventures with you guys. And with the sheer number of ROMs available for this device, it looks like I'll be in flashaholic heaven.

Quick question. I disabled Google books and Google earth, but they keep re-enabling themselves and reappearing in my app drawer. I thought disabling unwanted system apps was supposed to prevent this.

I noticed that when I first got the phone and was running a stock rom. Doesn't seem to be an issue when custom roms.
Also, if you haven't unlocked your bootloader yet, remember to back up the important stuff because it will wipe everything.

Screen Wake Delay

I'm new to this phone, bought it two days ago and just rooted it today. Ever since I got the phone there's always been a 1-2 sec delay from the time I press the power button to when the screen unlocks. I've searched around but every thread I've found turns into a bunch of mindless arguing over to whether it's a problem or not. I would just like to know if there's a way to get rid of it or if it's something I just have to learn to live with. Any help and advice is greatly appreciated :]
I've never noticed / never takes more than a second from push power to unlocked screen.

There is no fix other than changing the minimum cpu but that would drain your battery. I guess the issue has gone unnoticed for me after using this phone for about a nine months.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
It could be noticeable when coming from other devices but if you have stuck with Samsung for your smartphones for sometime it will probably go unnoticed. I thought that too when I first came over.

Cool features. ./ general talk

I want to say hello note family! This phone is already my favorite phone. Also I like to have a thread where ppl can ask questions about anything and talk about everything. I personally like to talk about lil this I find and share them with others. So we dont blow up threads on dev section and have a million threads on things that have been answered.
So to start it off, I found that the note 2 has low light feature witch makes photos look great!!!
Same phone flash.. had galaxy s3 didn't have that feature. Thought it was cool

That will def come in handy, esp these uppoming winter months when we're all pretty much stuck inside! Inside/dark photo-taking=always a challenge.
One of the hand gestures I saw on a video that I didn't know was there is pretty cool. Basically if you have it active, while your phones on your desk or at a table, you can wave your hand over the headset and it will turn on part of the screen(most the top half) and slowly dim over a few seconds. Basically used for taking a quick peak at missed calls/text/notifications.
