[Q] Accidently deleted everything on sd card,phone,help!!

I have a year old evo 4G,had cm7 stable,nightlys,beta sense 3.5 rom's,and I deleted everything from phone and sd card,The sd seems like its not putting any new roms to the phone,It boots up to the htc evo 4g screen,then to the sense ''black screen that says' andriod' then just stays there..i go into recovery and install zip and phone says no such files found,bad sd card? Any new rooted stock sense roms to put in then build from there? I don't want the bloat crap,I must be able to remove it,phone has been rooted for a year using unevoked,s-off,Hboot-2.10.0001,Touch panel-atelc03_16ac,Radio-1.36.00.04.02,oct 15 2010...I really need to get this thing working again,boss is always calling me,and I don't want to get into a shouting match over my useless phone,not hat i care anyway... but any help would be helpful.. FYI,Last rom I was on was KINGS bliss and I did a factory reset on that rom,Stupid noobie....

If your on amon ra plug your phone into your computer and in recovery enable usb-ms toggle and then you will be able to put a ROM on your SD card

That's the thing,I'm not on Amon...I'm on clockwork,5.0 something..I wish I went with RA now,Phone is in a blank state,bootloader works,recovery menu comes up,I didn't brick it..bootloader says no image! crap...Stupid me I did a partition cause of the roms,I was dowloading..I formatted the thing,Hasn't worked since

Do the same thing for clockwork but instead of usb-ms toggle go to mounts and then you will see a option that says usb mass storage

I'm doing this as of the moment.

Ok,got that right now,What's next? just go to yur rom dowloads,right? Maybe flash vr.superwipe before I proceed to a new rom? No go,Gets stuck at box with arrow to little andriod guy,Well what now should I toggle anything? Just choose apply zip?

On the computer download a ROM and then put the Rom onto the root of the SD card of the phone.then you will have a ROM to flash in recovery

Thank yu,evo4gnoob,I have KINGS 3.5 beta back on the rig,Your trick with the usb mount worked,Iv'e been doing it by sd adapter,and worked for a while then stopped,Thank yu,Thank yu...I have a working rom now,I probably will go back to cm7,nightlys...Much better than beta sense stuff,FYI for everybody,Only thing that don't work with my phone with kings bliss,is 4g,and i keep getting a package is invalid file from the market...Other than that,It's not bad rom...Again..Thank yu evo4gnoob,I flashed so much roms,I forget to do nandriod backups..I have a rooted pandigtal novel-e reader,and a psp rooted/...Just haven't put any custom software in it yet..

Kings bliss rom worked for a day and half,no problems,I don't care about 4G,I live in the sticks,but after a while,It kept telling me andriod.process.acore whatever forcelosed,And the phone will not accept any downloaded roms now,from the regular computer I have,On the previous posts,It did work,the bliss rom,and with the app market,Now I'm right back at a blank phone again...hboot comes up,recovery comes up,But i download a rom,to sd card...Forget it,tells me no such files found now,Didn't do that before,or Am I missing the steps to load a rom to the phone?

I have a feeling this beta Kings bliss rom,screws evrything up,I know it's beta ,but....It worked good for me at first,till week later,WTF...

Are you just trying to reflash a ROM onto your phone or are you wanting to recover everything that you deleted from your SD card?
If you are wanting to recover the data you deleted from your SD card I recommend mounting the card to your computer via your recovery and then running file scavenger (free to download) to recover the deleted files.
after you recover your files with filescav then you can reformat the SD card, replace the contents of the card, and continue on your merry way without having to start over from scratch.

try reflashing a recovery.
If your partitioned try repair sdext I'm not sure how to do that in cwm but in amon ra its under partition sdcard.

Yeah,still does the same thing after the above steps,It's like the hboot has nothing to go on,mainly cause of no files to sd card,but.....Thank you for trying linsalata28.....Any more ideas before I stuff this phone into a potato gun and send it 20 miles away?

I will work on this tonite,It's a lot of work,but possible...This is a bug problem with htc desires,and I will say,I'm having the same exact problems on my evo(4G) with the sd and usb..Everybody...Don't be shy,any info on this whole thread,would be greatly appreciated....As of now...The phone has s-off,HBOOT 2.10.0001,Radio,1.36.00.04.02 Thanks..

Thank you,Concordium,I'm going to try this before drasitic measures has to be taken,but I did get everything back,to my suprize...This may work for me,!!! Naaa,Didn't do anything,It's telling me,"No sd-ext found...etc..Generating md5 sum....I will go on with your info,press on..I'm detirmined to fix this..Thank you for the help...

Ok,I backed up to the new cm7 rc1,got the phone going again,but what's with the sd-ext not found???

Nothing important from what I know its just if you were to partition ur sd card.. Also I can upload mikg amon_ra that u can flash via bootloader if you need it. I was getting amazing sd speeds with that recovery...

Really?I will try this,but I have to delete the 2.3.5 google stuff first,It kept rebooting on me after dowloading a app from the market,I just wanted to try it,This rom is my brand new back-up,No more stock evo rom anymore,I just want to get the sd-ext working again,Any gapps files floating around for 2.3.7?? For some reason,any file installs from sd,but phone tells me ist's empty,I will try the partition,I just want the sd cards I have working 100% again,I have 2GB worth of Roms to use on my computer,I just like flashing,I guess...But yeah I will research mikeg Armon-ra,where Do I look??I was thinking about it when I was figiuring how to get the evo going again...

I do a Advanced restore of my rom on creeds or stock rom, Creeds rom just keeps bootlooping and samsung bootanimation keeps appearing on stock rom what can I do to restore this. Sometimes it says cannot mount bla bla bla and cannot mount data etc.
Any help please!!

have u cleared cache and data before .. ??
and creed's rom changes to ext4 .. while changing does it stucks ???

jus thinkin... y did u make a advance restore?? normal one does the job perfectly..

oh please...don't act that you now everything. creed's rom for fit is different with creed's rom for sgy. it doesn't convert the system to ext4.

remember every member was a noob at the time of birth or while using an Android phone ...
and i thought so coz it has been ported from G-fit .. not a rom from dev of sgy ... !!

sgy's creed is not ported from gfit. the dev made them separately -_-a

wanted my partition 2 be restored but on the normal one it restroes the whole rom, i just wanted the important data etc on my new rom

There's Titanium Backup for that. You you can restore all your lost data.

Man dont get confused/misleaded but the avilove4us post..he doesnt know what he types..
Creeds rom has nothing to do with ext4 ..it can basically run on any SD card with any partition type such as fat32,ntfs,ext,ext2,ext3,ext 4 etc...
Which CWM are you using to restore? Only the CWM by madteam is working perfectly when it comes to backup/restore..Try using that..

He is using a nandroid backup..it backups the entire ROM...titanium backup only backups the apps and its data..

It seems that you post without thinking .. First read the changelog in g-fit forum , that what actually creeds rom do !! Then post :banghead::banghead:

I backed up on madteam CWM but it is saying that SD EXT not found and skips it bit is my partition backed up as it says something about links2sd on boot when backing up

Any CWM doesnt backup the ext partition..its fine..ext partition is the partition which is used to store the apps installed on SD card and ALL the user apps..
Basically youll get the FULL ROM and all the system apps but the user apps wont restore ..in order to make the user apps to backup you need to convert them to system app and backup..
what does the L2SD exactly saying?

L2SD says: links2sd - boot - reciever.co backing up so does that mean when I restore it my partition will be there and still work on the other hand it says no SD extra found - skipping. So could this be a problem.
2. When I used to back up my rom my partition is also restored and works as normal with all my apps etc so would it work in my current situation stated in point 1.

i downloaded the bb ten lockscreen on my pc and copied to my droid and booted in recovery mode to flash the lockscreen then i switched on my phone and enabled lockscreen to slide ( i have cm10) then suddenly the phone turned off and the cm10 boot animation ran on my screen but after that my phonw wont start

and whic CM10 Build you coming from
the mod only for CM10 Beta-1, if you coming from other build you will bootlop

Using card reader, transfer any file rom from your pc to your SD CARD, than insert the sd card back to your wonder, boot to recovery by pressing 3 button, and flash the rom from exster sd

i did the same but instead of my files on sd card showing in recovery mode it is showing all the file i have on my droid storage and not a single file of my sd card

Copy the ROM in ur MicroSD
Go to CWM Recovery
Format all clean (except where the ROM is stored)
Wipe Data N Cache etc
Wipe Delvik
Flash as usual
..Just to ensure no unwanted bit n pieces is left behind :highfive:

i wanted to do the same but in recovery mode the files shown are of my droid storage and not of my microsd card files ...what to do i know its a rare problem but it is happening with me

You mean you cant see ur Micro SD it should be read as folder EMCC (something like that)
As long as the W can boot to Samsung logo it is just soft-bricked
One more solution in CWM mount everything and try to re-flash the ROM

Relax ... And be patient
First you don't know how to choose your ext SD in recovery that's all.
Before first .. This thread must be in Q&A section
Second
Go into recovery
Then choose install from SD card ..
Then search for this word External SD .. Choose it

no effect when you flash from SD card or External SD card , the effect come when you flash rom over another rom so you have to go pristine .. you can find pristine way in this thread link http://goo.gl/nleJk

Can you get into recovery or download mode?
If you can get into recovery, try wiping cache, dalvik and data wipe/factory reset.
If you can't or wiping doesn't work, try going into download mode and starting fresh with an odin flash of your firmware (stock ROM)........

If you can't or wiping doesn't work, try going into download mode and starting fresh with an odin flash of your firmware (stock ROM)........

I have un bricked it but now can u please send me full instructions to install 4.2.2 on my device coz when i flash it every thing goes fine but as i insert my sim the device hangs and reboots within a few seconds...also my external sd card is always mounted but data is never shown ???:crying:
please suggest the supporting cwm for it and how to flash it coz it is in "img" format..:cyclops:

Get the ROM and gapps from this thread......

Wipe cache, dalvik and data and flash as normal.......
Don't modify or unpack the downloads in any way....flash them as they are.
And for accessing files on your SD card....try root explorer....

Why did you take the sim card out?
Have you tried the flash with the sim card in place?
It might be a problem with the sim in which case you'll need to get it replaced by your network provider.........
