until Dev make it possible to block home button unlock, this lockscreen is useless and just another pretty lockscreen like many other in the market.
So far the only lockscreen able to block the home button in the market is Widgetlocker.
who need another lockscreen that don't actually lock anything since any press to a button you might do by accident in your pocket will unlock your screen.

How do you prevent home button from preventing unlock in widget locker? I can't seem to find that setting.

This. I was about to ask if it fixes the home button bypass because it's pretty much useless if it doesn't.

Widgetlocker prevents home button bypass by effectively becoming the default launcher. So you set Widgetlocker as your launcher and then select what launcher you want Widgetlocker to launch.
To do this go into Widgetlocker Settings -> Advanced -> HomeHelper -> enable homehelper -> Select System Home -> select WL HomeHelper and tick the use by default option. Then select HomeHelper's Launncher and select the launcher you want to use. This will then prevent the home button bringing up the home screen when locked using widgetlocker.

Given what we're talking about that makes absolutely no sense to me. To use a simple analogy, surely a lockscreen application preventing the phone being unlocked with a simple button press is as fundamental to it's purpose as a steering wheel is to a car?
u guys still have beautiful widget or fancy widget unlock weather animation with this???

I have an app that does that, it's called WidgetLocker. And I'm well aware no one is forcing me to use this, well done for stating the obvious. Should all that mean I can't discuss the shortcomings of the application in this thread? Obviously not.
You seem to be completely missing the point of what a forum is for.

I don't mind that home key unlocks your phone but if you touch the app shortcuts they get launched! You don't even need to move them! That's bad... Cuz I accidentally unlock and start apps this way. Stupid!

its actually full of bugs... if you press the home key and want to change its settings the lockscreen starts again.
And it does not support missed events.
And you need to have a services running!

I find that hard to believe. There is nothing in this lockscreen blocking the home button from unlocking the phone. I bought the paid version and even had a chat with the Dev about it and he is working on a solution for blocking the home button from unlocking but currently thats not possible so find it hard to believe it when your saying its not unlocking your phone

been using this two days now.
Yes, slightly buggy , but a VERY commendable start.
support the devs
Like this a lot
For some reason though trying to open my Messages through it causes it to crash :/
Had this phone for Two days now and LOVE it. Way better then evo 3d I had. Only issue I have is I struggle to unlock it every time. Maybe the size maybe the touchwiz screen. Either way it makes me crazy. Anyone make a suggestion of a different lock screen that is stable and won't mess up the excellent battery life.
Btw I have no interest in rooting but don't mind buying an app if needed. Also I have no issue with other parts of touchwiz just the lock screen.
I use widget locker. You can set that up any way you'd like. I have the stock aosp lock screen. Does wonders.

Widget locker allows you to customize the lockscreen with a ot of different options. So the AOSP lockscreen is when you slide the icon across to unlock you phone. It is Androids stock lock screen that ships with Android if Samsung or HTC wouldn't add their own.
Agile lock is pretty good too. It gives you a lockscreen similar to sense 3.0

I replaced my stock lock screen with widget locker and haven't experienced any problems (including battery life). It could be that people using widget locker are placing battery intensive widgets on their lockscreen.
Yeah I haven't had any problems with battery life or any slow downs either. This phone handles the battery and speed well. You can set it up however you like, the possibilities are endless. You can even download themes. I just like it so much because I don't have to use the original lock screen for our phone.

Thanks again! I downloaded and have been playing with widget locker and love it so far. Only question I have is ... Is there some way to get rid of the icon in the notification bar that shows widget locker ongoing. I keep thinking there is something I have not checked and it kinda bothers me. Tried to find a setting to get rid if it but no luck. Thanks again

I am not affiliated with this app at all. I'm just sharing.
I'm currently running MROM with holo launcher and this app, holo locker. It's an AOSP jellybean lockscreen, and it runs pretty well. For those who are still using GB, this is a great way to make your phone look and feel up to date. Enjoy.

Frustrated with bot Holo and Go Lockers. It seems like at first they work fine (maybe not, this might happen from the begining), but then the OEM/AOSP lockscreen starts showing up before the Holo/Go lockscreen. I've uninstalled both until I find out how to fix that. Send emails, but haven't got any replies yet.

I was on CM7 and don't remember ever seeing a way to turn off the lock screen altogether.
Now I'm on miui and using magic locker, working fine.
I think it may have something to do with choosing the locker as the " default launcher"
The magic locket makes it apparent that you need to do that for it work properly.

I was on JB for a while using a custom lockscreen it worked fine as I was able to disable the stock on from the android settings.
But back on GB, it seems that setting didn't excist and all these "no lock" apps don't work atall! is there anyway to disable it or does ICS also have the option to disable the lockscreen?
Mmmmm...
Hi! I think there's no such feature in GB, and every app for lockscreen are just "layers", and I often see the stock lockscreen 'til the other one appear, there's a MOD you could try to see if work for you, I personally change the rom, I'm on ICS now, with Xperia Z lockscreen type...

this feature isn't reliable in GB. when i want to switch the lockscreen back on (when not at home for example) i have to reboot to get it back. not dixperia thing - every gb stock rom i tried has this problem. i haven't tried CM7 based ones though.

I think CM has this feature, and as far as I can remember, it used to work. At least in my MM used to work and in CM for Samsung Galaxy S too.
You can use no lock app to disable lockscreen it can partially solve your problem
What thirdparty lockscreen app do you use? Cause I like the one in ICS from Xperia Z (which isn't available for GB), but as any lockscreen app I found, it hasn't the feature from Xperia NXT lockscreen (when you have new SMS, there is a "slide-to-unlock line" with the text of this message and when you unlock it, it show you directly the message, this also work with calls etc. - I don't know how to describe it properly).

well you can use no lock app from playstore or you can use cm7 toggle I've ported cm7 toggles to stock GB and I can completely disable lockscreen
Hey all, it's my understanding that Halo and PIE are built to work on AOSP based roms. I would love to go back to the stability and bonus features of sense, but having to have the menu button eyesore at the bottom of most apps is a deal-breaker. Is there any possibility of getting these addons working on a sense based rom? If not, are there any apps with similar features that can be used with sense?
I would also like to add a torch option on the quick settings menu if that could be done. I realize I can download a flashlight app, but I have been spoiled with having quick access to it on iOS 7 and AOSP.
Flash bonestock. It has a torch toggle, and also go to settings, display, and check "longpress home for menu"

Floating Notifications is an app that is as close as you can get to Halo. There is a free trial period for about 30 days.
As far as pie control, I think there is a launcher called LMT Launcher in the play store that has a pie-like fixture.

LMT launcher works, but it's not in the play store. it's on XDA though. just search for it.
pie control (which is in the play store) works as well, just not as neat as LMT.
sometimes, though, with LMT, it takes a few tries to get an app to start. it's annoying. if pie control showed the time and other notifications like LMT does, it'd be so much better.
Both of these look good. Do they allow you to disable the stock menu button?

Do you mean the three dots button? You can install a custom rom to do that or xposed has several modules that let you do that. Try Sense 5 Toolbox module.

technically yes, they can be ported, for example IHTFP69 ported HALO to TW on Samsung. No one said it could be done, he is a genius.

I am loving the rom so far, but I have two questions. The menu bar is gone almost everywhere, but it's still present in dolphin browser. Is there any way to fix that? It doesn't show at all on AOSP. LMT launcher is every bit as good as pie and the menu button being there prevents it from working properly.
I also don't seem to have a torch/flashlight widget in the quick settings. There is an app though which I can make work for me if there's no way to get it in quick settings. Just a minor personal preference.
Sent from my HTC6500LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I got the menu bar removed by changing a setting under display and gestures. It has the unfortunate side effect of making a long press on the home key open the menu as well, but it's still better than the always-present menu button.
