Yes. It is safe. It will wipe out ur old ROM before installing XXLM6.
Just a comment. I don't know about DXLA2 but DXLC1 is working well with Black Notes Hybrid2. XXLM6 or XXLM8 is Europe baseband. I would recommend u stick to ur own region baseband.

If you want to go with an AOSP ROM, just flash it (per the instructions, of course).
For a stock based (Touchwiz), you should be able to just flash it, then flash a custom kernel (exact instructions should be in the OP).
If you have to, you can upgrade your bootloader, but I wouldn't worry about that til you have to...
I know the AOSP rom instructions.
For touchwiz i reinstall stock rom ma4 but i try the OTA and say no updates for me

[SOLVED] Is it possible to downgrade from baseband I9195XXUCOD3 ?

I have recently updated to a 4.4.2 firmware from BTU region with baseband I9195XXUCOD3. I now want to install a firmware from ROM region but the latest baseband available with firmwares for this region is I9195XXUCNK1.
So when I flash the ROM firmware, the baseband does not get downgraded and this breaks the Wi-Fi. I guess the slightly older firmware cannot use the latest baseband version.
So is there any way to downgrade the baseband?
Thanks
Turns out that the good old method of flashing the Brazilian (ZTO region) 4.2.2 firmware I9195UBUBNE2 works even to downgrade this baseband!
So I successfully downgraded to 4.2.2 and then flashed the ROM region firmware which now works like a charm.
