Is there any cables what give output to composite, component or vga (or all them)?
Any cheap way to get vga out?

Hi,
does anyone know an adapter to change the HDMI signal from my MHL-adapter to VGA?
I need it because of the data projectors at my university.
I have already tried with 2 adapters: HDMI-> DVI and DVI-> VGA
but it didn't work.
Thx for your help
Just wait for something like that : http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/bizlink-mhl-to-vga-tv-out-adapter-black-p29960.htm
Or buy this type of cable, that could be better than buying a new adapter :http://imgs.inkfrog.com/pix/soonitrade/VGA_HD-15_Male_Cable_(1).jpg

HDMI has no analogue component so it can't be passively converted to analogue (VGA.) Similarly, VGA-HDMI cables are designed for devices that can output HDMI-over-VGA, and won't work either. You need an active adapter for that.

I haven't tried this yet. Anyone know if this HP device works?
Does anyone have any suggestions for a HDMI to VGA converter to use with the Xoom? Every so often I'll invite over a few people and play movies in the backyard. I've been using a laptop and projector, but after getting the Xoom I've been thinking about getting rid of that laptop.
Related question. Are there any HDMI/VGA converters that split off the audio? Should I even bother with that or just plug speakers into the headphone jack?
Kramer Electronic has 1, a VP-422
is it not possible to convert to vga without digital scalers ?
Not without a transcoder. VGA is analog, HDMI is digitial, they send a completely different kind of signal. DVI-D and HDMI are the same however (aside from the lack of audio, of course), so if your monitor or TV has DVI-D, then you can just get an adapter on eBay or monoprice for a couple bucks.
from what i've read micro hdmi doesnt have the right pins for a DVI connection.

Perhaps that's why it didn't work for me when I tried... I just ended up buying a different monitor with HDMI.
Xoom does not have the required +5V out that is needed for DVI. That's why it won't work.

Hi, im looking to buy a samsung mhl adapter however my tv only has rca connect, if i buy a hdmi to rca cable will the video still display on my tv.. i.e hdmi goes into mhl adapter and rca goes into tv... Thankyou
No, it wont work..if its just a simple adapter. Via HDMI or DVI... you get a digital signal. RCA or VGA...ect. you get a analog signal. It's not compatible to each other, except you connect a hdmi/rca converter between the two cables. Simple adapter from china just won't work..
You need a converter -- HDMI is a digital signal, whereas composite video (the single yellow RCA cable) or component video (red/green/blue RCA cables) are analog.
Something like this one from Monoprice will do the trick. eBay and Amazon also carry devices like this, in the same price range.
Thanks alot guys i will be buying a converter...
Hopefully you're aware that the video quality from composite will be quite poor.
Presumably if your TV doesn't have HDMI or VGA connectors then it's probably still a CRT screen?
hi all,
I want to ask if someone have a solution to connect the tablet
With a vga projector....
I search the forum but there is no clear solution for this
a hdmi from famsung and hdfury maybe?
Hi you need a hdmi adapter for tablet (eBay, amazon etc) and then you need hdmi or dvi (hdmi is essentially dvi) to vga active converter! And that's the important bit, it can't be just a cheep passive adapter, it must be an active converter.
Yea like the guy above me said, I would think it be best to go from HDMI to VGA to get the ideal connection. I did a quick google search and I saw some adapters for VGA that had male and female connections depending on the situation you need.
in theory everything will working but can you exactly
suggest me the hardware that will guaranteed work please???
Hello,
At work my monitor has a port for VGA and HDMI. I would like to hook up my handroid to the VGA Port to mess with my girlfriend via remote desktop. Due to the fact that this isn't very serious, I want to avoid purchasing a bluetooth keyboard/Mouse, and utlize the ones on my desktop.
That means I'll be running an OTG cable, to a splitter, splitting to a USB Keyboard/mouse.
Those bits work no problem. My question is if anyone knows if this video cable will work:
http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Cabl...BSL4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1337117122&sr=8-4
It's the cheapest one I could find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
