Don't mean to post a buncha questions, but on MIUI, I loved that the music app came with a equalizer and I could use voodoo with it. On cm7, dsp just makes music lag, and I tried "equalizer" and "volume+" and I assume they use the same files to work since music still lags and dsp manager force closes when I use them. What should I do? Just go back to Miui? Lol

Does it actually change how your audio sounds? I tried for a while to get DSP running on my stock Sense Desire Z (think I also tried it on some Sense-based custom ROMs). I flashed DSP Manager, and while it seemed to flash fine, and the app opened as it should, changing the equalizer sliders up and down had absolutely no effect on the sound output. I also restored a previous nandroid and flashed DSP again, with the same result.
I was on CM7 for a while, so I know from experience that DSP (when working properly) has a very audible effect on the equalization.
I've never tried it on any other sense rom, but yeah the eq worked perfectly on this one )

What's thr best rom with loud volume for headphones when listening to music
Sent from my HTC Vision using xda premium
theres an app on the market to boost volume, then youll have loud music with any rom

Which app cuz the ones I've tried some.... and it doesn't really boost the volume

Search for 'dsp manager' in the market and you'll find some. I'm using 'Volume+ (Sound Boost)' on an Android v2.3.5 ROM. Not all settings have effect, but is does enable you to increase volume a lot and improve the sound via equalizer. Keep in mind you need to have Android v2.3.x or higher.
any one knows a good music player not google music plz it eats to much battery it doesnt matter if i have to pay for it.
I personally recommend player pro.. It doesn't eat my battery and the dark theme (skin they offer)helps with battery
Jukefox is cool and miui music(but can't get it to work on my Sammy) and stock are probably best

I use the free version of Mixzing. I like the music identification, album art pull, and tag editing features. I don't use the recommendation feature, but I hear it's pretty good.
I use Poweramp and I love it
When I try awesome beats, I doesn't change the sound or anything, I'm using poweramp as my music player, and I heard poweramp worked with awesome beats, help please, thanks

I've had power amp since the original Evo, but with the acid audio mod I wanted to try it and see if it improved blue tooth audio.. But I can't seem to find out if it has any benefits.
I know that the acid mod doesn't work with power amp, but what players receive the benefits? Can I use the stock player?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I still use poweramp...always gave me the best audio results even with DSP manager on AOSP ROMs or awesome beats on TW ROMs. Tweak the audio equalizer to your liking and you get great audio.

anyone notice music causes a wakelock? on stock music apps on the latest aokp
What players do not get any benefits from acid? I'm not hearing any difference on stock or power amp
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
The only difference I've noticed is that it's a bit louder
