So before you flash the files everythings working fine right ?? Try flash the ClockworkMod >>> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446593
After you flash the CWM , boot into it (volume up + home key + Power) from there you can select the command without using the soft keys. wipe data/ factory reset, cache partition, Dalvik cache and try again . Hope this help

I think it's your phone's way of saying to always make a clean install of any ROM.
Try this:
1. since I suppose that now you don't have CWM Recovery anymore, download it from here and install it via ODIN, just as you installed the stock ROM.
2. enter CWM and make sure (double check) that you follow all of the steps below:
select "wipe data / factory reset"
go to "mounts and storage" and select "format /system". This is extremely important!
on the same page, select "format /sdcard" (be careful not to format external_sd by mistake).
3. flash stock ROM via ODIN

I don't know what to do because my device is currently not booting. The device is stuck at the HTC logo for a very long time (both when booting normaly or going in to revovery). The device finaly is finished booting in like 10 min. , but when it is finnished booting the touch on the screen doesn't work, it keeps a black background and it says no service. In revovery on the otherhand the optical trackball doesn't work anymore, the hardware button does tho because the first option "Reboot system now" does work.
What should I Do???

Have you tried using the volume up / down buttons for moving around the menus and power button for select in recovery?

The volume up/down buttons dont work in recovery
Now its just stuck in a bootloop .
And there is no way of wiping the device, because the trackball isn't working.
hep would be greatly appreciated
The first thing I would try is to remove the SD card and see if your phone boots.
If that doesn't work. Have you tried putting fake flash on your SD and booting into recovery on that to test your trackpad?
Why has it started playing up in the first place? Did you have a bad flash? A wee bit of the history of your device might help to find out what's going on.

the trackball isn't working in the fakeflash. The whole problem didn't happen after a bad flash, but it just went in a bootloop when i tried to put it on this morning. I was running Defrost 1.4
You don't need trackball in the fakeflash. You navigate there using volume up and down. It should work. Try .
How about resetting it by doing the following.
Switch it off, or remove battery > Hold volume down and power button > wait a few seconds > use volume to go to clear storage > power button to select. This doesn't involve going into recovery so your buttons might work there.
Can't you get into the bootloader mode with vol. down + power and wipe it there?
Edit: Few secs too late heh

You need the trackpad to select the option after choosing it with volume up/down.

No, it says clear...... and then it just restarts the bootloop
The fake-flash worked!!!!!!!
I deleted everthing there but now, when I boot up the device it boot up straight into fastboot
You could try now using an ruu to flash. Or try getting into recovery and see if you can use the buttons now.
I'll try a ruu, but the recovery still wont work

version I currently have, maybe not the newest (0.14), but works just fine.
I rooted my slide months ago and have been installing new roms regularly using Rom manager and manually by booting into recovery.
I just downloaded and installed cyanogens new 6.1.1 release and when I booted the phone I get the usual request for me to allow Google's locations services and I click ok. Then I get touch the android to begin screen and when I touch the android, nothing happens. I did this over and over. just stuck.
So I just figured I would restore my back up via nandroid... I tried to reboot into recovery and pressed Vol down and pwr. I am only getting the choices of
Fastboot
Recovery
Clear Storage
Simlock
I select recovery and I get a triangle with an exclamation point.
And now I am stuck What happened?? More importantly, What do I do to fix this??
Please help ASAP I am very nervous!!
When you go into recovery, aren't you supposed to then hit Vol Up and Power and then wait a bit?
When I prees up then power it just boots into the "touch android to begin " screen that does not work

when you get the exclamation triangle you press vol up + power and then select apply update.zip, then you can restore your nandroid... your only problem here seems to be a bad flash, just wipe and reflash cm6 or restore the nandroid... obviously you are doing something wrong when trying to go into clockwork recovery so dont panic and do it as you did when you flashed the rom man
God Bless you. It's Fixed and restored!!!!! Thanks a ton!!!!

After upgrading to 6.0.1 via OTA the touch screen does not respond anymore.
The buttons work.
How can I restore back to previous version or do a factory reset? Device is stock/locked.

From what you are saying the power/volume up/down buttons work. So boot into the bootloader mode hold the down volume button in and the while holding this button in press and hold the power button in until it boots into bootloader mode then release both button. At this point you will get android on it side with belly open. Press the volume down button the get to where it says Recovery Mode in the large arrow. Now tap the power button this should put you in recovery mode. After the Google name goes away you will see the android with a red ! point. Press and hold the power button and while doing tap the power Up button. This will bring you to a menu list use the page up/down keys to select the Wipe data/factory reset, then hit power to execute.
The easiest way to roll back would be to visit WugFresh Nexus Root Toolkit web page and use their tool. Link here!
Good luck and report back with results and/or help needed.
Was able to factory reset.
Now I am at the Lang select screen and the touch still not responsive.
Maybe it is hardware issue?

Sounds like a possibility. However, it was working prior to the 6.0.1 upgrade. I would try rolling back to 6.0.0 or even 5.1.1 to see what that does for you.
Installed custom recovery (TWRP) and the touch screen works fine while in recovery mode.
Now I will try to flash a different rom version and see if the touch screen still functions.
Thanks.
After I did Factory Reset via TWRP, the touch screen is like new. I'm good for now.

From what I've read yes installing SuperSu should allow you to obtain root access, as long as the flash is successful

I don't think there is one to force it to power off, I think there's only one to force it to reboot which is POWER + VOL DOWN (held down for a few seconds) on the A5, it's probably the same on the A3. Then immediately as the screen turns off you have to switch to the key combination for download mode or recovery. If if you just release the keys it will try and boot normally.

thx!! im in download mode now
Im in Recovery now. When i try to wipe it says it cant mount /data, /cache, etc.
Also Restore doesnt work because of this. I tried to Repair. System seems to be repaired, but /data fails to repair. Also unable to repair cache.
What to do?
(needless to say i first flashed the correct Recovery )
In Windows Explorer i see only external sd
Somehow i seemed to fix /data en /system. But not cache and dalvik.
I restored a nandroid backup and it boots until LOS animation now. But there its stuck. (but at least i passed Android logo now)
Installation passed pretty good, only in the end it said cache wasnt mounted.
Any ideas?
alright no clue how but its fixed now lol

I believe if you are trying to get into stock recovery you have to hold power and then press volume up when you see the no command screen
Sorry but it don't work for me, even if I go from fastboot into recovery don't work.

Fastboot>recovery just gets you to the "no command screen." From there is where you do the power +volume up command to get the list of recovery options.
Now it works, you have to press first power and then the volume up button. Thx, and I thought it will be gone.
Thx guy's.
Im basically in the same spot, but I while Im in this corrupted recovery - I can't go into full one. Pressing UP+POWER just restarts device to the same place.
Try flashing stock boot.img from full factory image that matches the version you are on.
