Lately, every time I try to download anything from the market, it says "error processing purchase". Has anyone else seen this, and how do you fix it?

Verify the download as the latest, download, and re-flash again.
Not sure about Chrometophone though.
MarketEnabler
If you don't feel like reflashing,
you can install apps restricted to certain zones (such as Chrome to phone) via the market using MarketEnabler

Fire it up, go to the "Settings list", long press on one of the listed providers, click "fake this provider now" and then you can install Chrome to phone (and other zone restricted apps) like you would do for any other app via the Market.

All apps show force close ,what to do?

ALL apps force close?
Something seems thoroughly wrong with your install. At this point I'd consider a complete wipe & reinstall of your ROM.

I just downloaded MLB At Bat w/o an issue.
Trying clearing data: open manage apps, scroll down to google play, clear the data.
Could also try to clear data using Titanium Backup
Do you have that app installed?
EDIT: if you don't u can download the latest APK from the developer's site : http://matrixrewriter.com/android/ in the where to find titanium backup there is a like that says "for download"

when i first got the problem the first thing i did was clear the data, and do a clean install of cm9 beta 1. both did not help. and this has been a problem for me for about two weeks now
I had the same problem when I was using the black infintium theme so I switched to blue mist and I can download again!

Try deleting your Google account and then log back in and reboot. See if that fixes it. I've seen this error many times but only on a few apps

You don't necessarily have to delete your Google account. You can try clearing data under manage applications. For some (myself included) that did not work. I actually had to reboot into CWM and Fix permissions. I then rebooted system and viola, all was well.
If you search on the forums for that exact error message, a thread should come up with the above suggestions and a few others.
Hooey this helps.

Hey guys has any of you run into this problem with the google play store?? This is actually the first time I've ever run into this problem I've cleared all cache, rebooted, done whatever I can think of but still gives me the "error processing purchase" even tho it is a free app! I got a picture attached
It apparently only seems to be certain apps really weird makes no sense why all of a sudden it does this. Maybe they doing server maintenance? I don't know I'll try again in a couple days I guess

Had the same problem a month ago and did these same steps, worked like a charm.

If those steps don't work for you(they didn't for me) load up rom manager or reboot into recovery and fix permissions.

Did you even try Googling for DF-BPA-09? You'll get a ton of hits.

mmm... maybe the app isn't compatible with our device...
EDIT: no , i was wrong, i have downloaded it and it works here...
How odd.
Does it work if you log on to play.google.com from a normal browser and try to remote install it?
take a look here... this is what i've found
-recognize your browser, whether it is firefox, or google chrome, or internet explorer...
-recognize the version of your browser....
-remember.... different browsers have different ways of finding the version...
-and than you need to clear the cache files and the recent browse history, and cookies...
-im just explaining this to you generally...
- just follow through the guide here at this link.
- it'll help. hope it works for you.
Good Luck...
