How do I know what roms to use for a rogers Canada SGH I747M

I'm new to this and I won't to try a rom please help

flashing ROMs

Hello,
I am considering using Calkulin's ROM. However, I am not familar with flashing ROMs. My charging/data port stopped working a long time ago. It is possible to flash the ROM via SDCard? Thank you in advance.
