(Solved)Haptic feedback lost on keyboards??? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

So I spent several hours last night searching and trying to figure out why my phone stopped vibrating or haptic feedback when I use the keyboard. Here is some history.
I was on AOKP yesterday and the haptic was fine. I had the phone muted at times for work and then unmuted it later. Then all of a sudded I noticed that the keyboard was not vibrating any more. Then the soft keys stopped vibrating. But if I hit volume all the way down to silent it vibrates and my emails still vibrate so I know it works. I have checked the setting under sound and keyboard setting. I thought it could be ICS related.
So I then wiped date\both cache\format system\format cache and then restored my CM7 back up. Once on CM7 same issue. I checked all setting again and no luck. Now I thought maybe try a fresh start.
I flashed skyraider thinking maybe some sense will get it going. Still no vibrate on touchscreen. Even after checking settings and vibrate is on.
Restored now back to CM7. Went into CM7 settings and went into haptic feedback settings. I adjusted the vibate down settings all the way up. Now I get some haptic feedback on my soft keys but still not the keyboard.
I installed go keyboard and it had the same results. I ready last night that there are a lot of Dinc2 users with this problem. I read many diferent forums and google search but no one had a fix. I am hoping someone here can help me out. If so I will gladly put Fixed in the title so hopefully it will help someone else. The phone is only a couple weeks old. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance. And yes I seached as best as I could. Only got 4 hours of sleep last night trying to fix this thing. I hate not having haptic feedback.
One last weird thing. One thread said to download audio manager and turn vibate on and uninstall. One guy said that worked for his notification feedback. However when I tried to download that app it says there is a purchase error even though its free. But I tried to download other apps and they work fine so not sure what to do next?
Edit: Found it was turned all the way down on my cm7 and no matter what rom I, as on it would stay the same. Back on cm7 and was able to turn it up again.

This sucks! Any idea anyone? Can I wipe anything else besides data/cache/system? Even cleared cache and data on the keyboard. Vibrate works on everything but keyboard. Sound for keys work but not vibrate. Same results with 3rd party keyboards.
I finally got go keyboard to vibrate. I like stock better but at least it is getting haptic feedback now.

Mr Highway I got the problem worked out feel free to close this thread. Thanks.

[Q] cm7 vibrate not working

when i set my device to vibrate it will not work but when sound is on it does vibrate ive already went into to settings and checked but that didnt do anything and vibrate hasnt been working the whole time ive been running this rom btw i have the latest build of cm7 ive went through a few things and its still not working could somebody please help me out!!
The vibrate is working fine with CM7 #11. Haven't had an issue with an earlier version.
There are a few different places to set vibrate mode. sms notifications, email notifications and incoming call notifications can each be individually set to vibrate or not. Just be sure you've gone through all of the settings. Worst case scenario performa full wipe and re-install.
The common solutions to uncommon problems seams to be conducting a full wipe.
If that doesn't work maybe it's possible that you have a hardware issue with the phone?
I've looked through settings and I can't find specific options for vibrate on notifications and I know its not a hardware issue because vibrate works on everything thing other than notifications detailed instructions would be very helpful

Try opening your sms app. select menu>settings>notification settings>vibrate: just be sure that it's not set to never.
Open email: menu button>more>settings>vibrate: set whatever you like
are you running timeriffic? if so it can turn off vibrate if set to do so?
I'm not going to be able to help much more than than that (sorry).
May still want to consider a full wipe? The vibrate is functional for me and I haven't read about other folks having this issue.
That worked!! Thank you!

I was having the same issue but this thread helped me find the settings in my messaging app. It seems to be working tip top so far.
I must say as someone that has just rooted his phone less than a week ago as awesome as it is to have so many options problems like this make me wonder about having too many options. Haha.

Nils business gingersense 3.0 won't go silent

I've been 1.5 for a few days now. I haven't had any problems with any features until now. I went to work and put my phone on vibrate as usual. During my shift my phone rang on full volume. I looked at the notification bar and it said that it was indeed on silent, while it was ringing loudly. I hit the volume buttons which quieted the ringer. I turned the volume all the way up then all the way down to go back to vibrate. The volume changing sound acted normally, however, when it hit silent it didn't silence the volume changing sound and a small section of the volume bar remained. Even when it was truned to vibrate the icon for vibrate appeared but the volume bar still stayed visible a little. Please help as I'd like to get this fixed. The only thing I can think of is that I played my first game of Homerun Battle 3d last night. Other than that nothing new has been installed or used.
I suggest you reflash the rom, I'm a regular on the rom and have never had that issue. Did you do a flash over or fresh install initially?
I did a fresh install of 1.4 and then flashed over that with 1.5. Id' hate to have to do a fresh install and have it happen again after I get it all set up. Other than that. I am digging this ROM.

Some app is running and acting like a media app causing. Turn down media volume in settings and see if that does it.
First just try and clear cache and dalvik in recovery.
Then if that does not work flash over without wipe and see if that helps.
So I tried all if those things and nothing worked. Looks like I'll have to do a full wipe and flash. It'sa strange thing. It also seems like the volume settings aren't applying themselves. Just a heads up. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh on another note has there been any headway on the mms over wifi front?

[Q] Problem with WajkIUI function "Vibrate on answer"

Dear all,
Thanks for spending time reading this. And I so sorry am if im posting this wrongly somehow. I'm new ...
I have been using MIUI ever since, and just switched to WajkIUI yesterday. been doing fine, the speed was good, battery's cool ~ the only problem i have so far is the function which allow the fone to vibrate when the call get through.
Its was nice in MIUI, but then with WajkIUI, it vibrates in like ... 200ms, which is very hard to acknowledge if u're not paying much attention. I have this bad habit of placing call, and hold the fone in my hand anywhere away from my head, and only put it to my ear when i got the vibrate signal ... now it's nearly impossible if i'm outdoor to do this... frustrating.
Found the setting in - Settings/Programs/Call Settings (or go to dial and get to setting, same) and it's in Vibration menu. It have 3 options, Vibrate, Weak Vibrate and No Vibrate, which Weak Vibrate is totally not vibrating at all ...
I'm using launcher pro with WajkIUI 1.10.28
P.s: i surfed through all the setting yesterday when i first flashed this ROM, and i think i did see a setting bout vibrating somewhere but i can't find it anymore ... dunno what to do.
Thanks so much in advance.
really, noone knows bout this problem? ... too bad, im digging it up for one more time, thanks, if anyone could help

Galaxy Nexus not vibrating on notifications - Light Flow issue?

I've been using Light Flow for the last couple of days, but as of today my phone will no longer vibrate for notifications. The vibrator itself is perfectly fine - haptic feedback will still work and such and it vibrates on boot.
So, I figured the last Light Flow update that pushed out broke something. I backed up my settings, uninstalled it, rebooted, and expected my notification vibrations to continue working...
They didn't. I have it set to always vibrate both in sound settings and in all of my apps, but nothing seems to be working. I'm at a loss for ideas right now other then a factory reset. I am not rooted or unlocked yet, so I suppose it'd be a good chance to do it, but...
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Aha! I found the fix - for some reason, notification vibrations were disabled SEPARATELY from every other vibration. Like, not even in the apps. The application "Sound Manager" in the market was able to fix this.

Looks like you just beat me to suggesting using the app "sound manager". I refer people to this app after somebody managed to figure that out in the past.
Note lightflow itself only sends notifications to android to vibrate, there's nothing fancy going on regarding switching off vibrations in the app.
Yeah, I figured lightflow probably wasn't directly to blame since uninstalling it didn't fix the problem. I was just really worried about having to deal with a factory reset tonight, but I'm happy now!
Thank You

Thank you for posting this issue and your fix! I was having the exact same issue as you and could not figure out what the culprit was. Downloaded Sound Manager and found out vibration were set to off
Have any of you had problems waking your GN after installing LightFlow? I installed it after seeing this thread, and I can't wake my phone and have to pull the battery.

I just had this problem for the first time... I have lightflow installed.
Just tried Sound Manager V2, and set vibration to "vibrate whenever possible". Now all is well! Disappointing that this setting does not work in Android settings though.

Notification Light quit working

My Wife's HTC One had its notification light quit working about a month ago. I figured the phone needed to be hard reset and she just hasn't had the time for me to do it. With the recent 4.4.2 update I figured that it might fix it. She took the update and wouldn't you know it... the issue still remained. I just got done hard resetting her phone and even after doing this it doesn't work. It lights up when the phone is being charged, and the service menu tests work perfectly, so I know this LED itself is good. I am just not sure why the notifications aren't working. Mine works flawlessly and has never given me a bit of grief. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

I haven't experienced this, but if you flash NuSense it gives you the option to pulsate the softkeys when you get a notification. This would be kind of a workaround if you didn't want to send it in to get fixed I guess.
So Verizon sent my Wife a new One. Upon setting up the phone the notification light was blinking. I restored via setting up her Gmail account and specifying to restore the settings and then once that was done I used HTC Sync Manager to fully restore everything else. I am not sure which restore, but something broke the notification light again. This leads me to believe something is botched in a setting somewhere and either Google or HTC Sync is restoring the bad setting. I want to say somewhere I read that someone else has this issue and said the fix was to not allow Google to restore the phone. I am going to try this and then use HTC Sync and see what happens. If this works, I will post here just in case someone else runs into this issue.
