what is the latest play store version? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

The reason for my queston, is that I have the 3.5.16 and I am still getting "error in processing purchase" I noticed that this only happens with free app download. when I buy an app, I don't get this error message

Smashing Zombies With My Galaxy S II

Are you guys on GB roms or ICS roms ? The reason I ask is just about every GB rom I used gave me this same issue (the only one the didn't was M&S GB rom). Since I've been on NexusMOD ICS that issue has not plagued my phone.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium

Yes, I am on GB (warfare) . I've been having this issue about 2 months ago. If I can remember correctly , this started when the market was update to play store

[solved] on transformer prime (google play store: error processing purchase)
i had same isue with playstore (error processing purchase) on my prime with virtuous rom.
Solution that worked for me was
go to settings -> apps -> all -> google playstore and click delete updates.
this solved my issue

Buckster

I just purchased an app yesterday through the play store with no issues.
I am on the Stock Telus ROM, but I am rooted. Haven't tried on any of the ICS ROM's. I used to run Juggernaut and I had no problem downloading apps from Google Play when I was running it either.

I read from tmo news that google has upgraded the play store to 3.5.19
How do I get this?

this occurs when I download a free app. But if I buy an app, I don't get this error

Can't purchase apps through Google Play anymore

I noticed since last night that I can not purchase any app in Google Play anymore. I can still download free apps but when I try to purcahse and download an app, it give error " an error occured. Please try again".
I updated my phone yesterday to AOKP B31 and Franco kernal r121 last night.
I will appreciate your help.
It's currently a common problem so you are not the only one. These are the fixes:
1 go to all apps under settings an look around until you see play store and google services framework clear caches and data on both and reboot your system
Then open up the terms and try downloading it again after 5 minutes of waiting
2 remove your google account and add it again
Please post your results here

I have already tried step one and did not work for me. Few days early I was getting error 921, at that time it worked after clearing data from google play and google framework.

My phone did that... Fixed all by itself. Think it was issues with the google market.

Yes, I fixed the issue by doing clean flash of from 31. Previously, I did not do reset data. Aften clean all good.
Hmmm I've had the same problem persist from Build 31 into build 32. It's really irritating.
Fixed on my RAZR.
I'm running Eclipse 1.3 on the Droid Razr. I had this problem since I flashed the ROM 2 days ago. I could purchase and push apps from my pc but got the error on my phone. I eventually started looking around the net for a fix.
Using TiBu I:
Wiped data from Google Framework and Google Play Store.
Deleted Google Play Store.
Restored my backup of Google Play Store version 3.5.16 (App + Data).
That fixed my problem.
Hope this helps.
Run ROM Toolbox. Under app manager -> All apps check if Google play is red or white in color. If it's white long press and select convert to system app. That should fix it.
Btw, ROM Toolbox is free on the Market

I've been having same issue with Gummy rom, using the inverted (black) market app. When I reflash gapps back to regular market it works, so i think it has something to do with the inverted market app. Are you using the inverted market?

Certain apps missing in play store (cm9?)

OK so, ever since I upgraded to CM9 months ago, I have found that certain apps are not available to me from the play store. For example, when I type in Youtube, it doesn't even show up as a option to download. When I go to the play store on my desktop, it either says that the app is not compatible with my device, or my device is greyed out in the drop down menu. This is true for several other apps that I have tried downloading. I tried clearing the play store data, but I'm still limited in the apps that show up upon searching. I was able to find a youtube apk elsewhere, but am wondering what the fix is for this cause there are other apps that I want...like zen bound. I just upgraded to alpha 6...same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have put up with this issue for long enough.
I haven't had that issue and am on cm9 and was also on aokp. Which cm9 did you download and from where?

CM9 was from here. It may have nothing to do with CM9, I just can't figure out why so many apps either don't show up at all upon search (e.g., zen bound 2), or they show up in the store, but say that they are not compatible with my device. I though it might be a screen density thing, but when I upgraded to alpha 6, the screen density went back to 240 and the play store is still missing apps like youtube.
Try clearing all data for the play store and then reflashing gapps...?

That did it! Thanks button has been pushed.
Clearing play store data then re flashing gapps did the trick (i.e., zen bound 2 and youtube apps were showing up in play store). However, I woke up this morning and the play store is doing the same thing as before (missing certain apps). For example, I type in "zen bound 2" and get a white screen with the "No results found". I tried the same technique again (as suggested by shultz) and this time it doesn't work. So I'm back to the same problem. Any ideas on what the culprit is here? should I be posting this in the CM9 thread?

yes, I live at 190, but went back to 240 just in case that was the problem (is there a better setting i can try?). I let rom toolbox reset my phone after and i still couldn't get zen bound 2. By the way the above trick (clearing play store data and flashing gapps) briefly worked and i was able to download zen bound 2, but by the time the game was finished downloading, the play store stopped working correctly again....and so I have zen bound 2 purchased, but it won't let me install it cause it says my device is not compatible. This is aggravating.

after updating to jelly bean 4.2 JOP40C on nexus 4 about 2 hours ago, i started seeing this issue.
tried uninstalling pay store updates, clearing play store cache, clearing play store data. nothing worked.
Is it just me or does downloading apps seem slower? My internet speed is the same as before :/

Play Store Issues

I recently switched back to using Novella Dos Rom on my Galaxy Note 2, it is a TW based rom. Anyways after setting up and installing around 15-25 applications last night, I went to install some more stuff this morning and I keep getting different errors sometimes 491 could not install error and some times just a package file invalid error and sometimes it just gets stuck at a percentage number. This happens randomly too its not like every app wont install and sometimes it doesn't and after installing something else then coming back it installs. Its really annoying.
I also don't know if this is related but Facebook has been telling me I am low on storage space and that this may cause issues running the app, which doesn't make sense since 9.5GB Free on the Device and a completely empty 16GB SD card inserted.
Sorry for spamming but now I'm getting a different error "Google Earth" could not be downloaded due to an error. (905)
I found your answer just from Googling insufficient storage error! Your answer if here as this is what I did too get mine fixed also. FYI

Nope sadly it doesn't work
Now I'm getting a 495 error too
Just to clarify the storage space issue error comes from within the facebook app and it was just a one time thing...
Currently most of my apps are installing now but google earth and retroarch are both being really stubborn and just giving errors.

You should be on the latest play STORE! Right? But the lucky thing..That help me after I rebooted then tried again and I was able to get what I wanted. Only other thing you could try is clearing the cache & data POSSIBLY. Might help.
But at least your able to get most of your apps!

Try deleting the app cache first. Then, delete the Google account and add it back. That should fix it for you.

Indeed. ..
This problem persists across devices and carriers. .
It seems the current version of Google services has a bug. .
But earlier today I ran and loaded rootbox 4.2 with neak kernel and had no issues with the newer play store version. ..
But immediately after a nandroid restore to rooted stock it failed again. ..
Not that this rom kernel combo is any sort of fix...but it was worth mentioning if users need a temp bypass. ..until Google gets it fixed. ..g
