If you are talking about the Voodoo lagfix, it doesn't need it ....
EDIT: SGS2 does not need the lagfix because it does not suffer from the same filesystem problems that the GS did. Therefore a "lagfix" like voodoo would not accomplish anything.
And of you taking voodoo sound it won't work, is not compatible

Meant voodoo colors? Thanks for the response

There is a thread based on supercurio bring I voodoo colors type of system to this device. This phone has been set up differently as far as access to gamma manipulation along with the fact that many of us have the streaks and I will blobs.... It's just a different process he's working on it though.

Wow so your one of those members who take noob questions to heart and get pissed, i asked a simple question i didnt demand supercurio to hurry the hell up and make voodoo colors available already, i was wondering why and someone above answered my question (thank you) thats exactly what i was wondering i know all phones are different but i wanted to know exactly what made it more difficult for the t-989 now how about you take the stick out of your ass its people like you in this community that make it a bad experience i swear the NS4G forums beat the T989 forums by a landslide when it comes to friendly members.

Easy man, he asked the reasoning behind why its not here, not why its not here yet. I know it gets annoying hearing people asking for eta's and proclaiming their self entitlement but I don't think that's where this was going.

voodoo is not only a lag fix,but also colors (colors are more optimized. white is white and not a tinge of blue) and sound.

100% uncalled for. like I said before ,xda is not what it used to be because of people like you. Congrats on a useless troll post and a +1 on your post count.
Supercurio wont make voodoo sound for SG2 because of yamaha sound source and he is attempting to develop color but is not making any promises. Lagfix is not needed.

Funny because I was a major contribute to those forums. Here is a question to those who think I'm a troll, did any of you try searching before calling me one? No you didn't. This question has been answered. Time and time again. Even supercurio, answered it.
In fact, there is a thread a few down from this one ALL ABOUT THE PROGRESS ON VOODOO. So sorry you all can't follow proper xda guide lines but I didnt troll him. That's my honest opinion. You want to know what's different, try making it for yourself. Don't post useless threads asking questions that have been answered.

Just stop. Dont blow this out of proportion, you say something offensive then i will and its back and forth nothing gets solved. if your not gonna help me find out the reason why voodoo is so hard to add to the t989 better yet if you have nothing nice to say dont say nothing. Again if you want to help, why not go post in the thread supercurio has been responding to? And don't tell me not to blow things out of proportion. I'm not any of the 3 people who felt the need to claim I was the reason xda sucks now. I made a comment that I stand by and behind that comment is a lot of experience in and around android and xda.
The last part of my first comment? Yes, that was because instead of searching or even looking into the matter you posted a thread asking a question that has already been answered.
But if you have a problem with me or the way I act, I honestly don't care. You have no authority to tell me to stop. I'm not your petulant child, I'm not your subordinate and as such I have no desire to simply bend to your whim.
Instead, I suggest you take a look at the xda forum guidelines and follow them in the future if you don't want responses like mine.
Finally, I wasnt kidding. If you want to know why it's so hard, try it yourself. There are plenty of guides online to help you get started.

this is a place to ask questions, not ask for etas
if you even bothered reading supercurio's progress thread youd known voodoo audio is not possible for our phone and hes working on screen calibration fix
so look around before you ask noob questions and get all insulted just because someone told you to make it yourself
the information is everywhere, only ask when you are sure you cant find it.
How those that have contributed a LOT to this forum have small "sigs"
and those that Want to make it look like they do have VERY LARGE AND FLAMBOUYANT ONES?
Isn't that attributable to a WANNABE Syndrome?
Heck, their sigs take up more space than their "contributory" information....
lol talking about me? it's true that i haven't done much on this forum except for the StockMOD ROM release, but check out the HTC MyTouch 4G forums if you think i contributed "very little".

I don't understand why some people are constantly worried about others when it has little to no effect on them at all.
I'm sorry if this seems rude or trolling I guess I just don't understand why you started a thread like this besides to get people to start flaming.

I dont think they are talking about you as its obvious you have contributed quite a lot Thank you for that!
But i know what they are talking about, i see it a lot actually, a person with like 5 thanks has a huge sig saying "If i helped you remember to hit that thanks button" or something stupid like that.. Every time i see that i think of that "bro do you even lift" meme. But instead i say "bro do you even help?" lol
On a second note, how is this S3 related? Off topic much? lol

LOL, okay for one don't get pissy around here, especially to someone that has far more experience with the site than you do.. That's very frowned upon at xda. Yes you are a noob, and in the video it said do not click the new thread button unless what you are asking cannot be found in a thread that already exists, and if the thread doesn't directly answer your question, don't make a new thread. Ask the damn question in a thread that already exists or pm a member that looks like they know what they are doing. But do NOT make a new thread unless it is absolutely necessary. You have no idea how many threads like this are being made that do not need to be made. We are getting sick of them. All it takes is a few minutes of looking around. Hell whenever you named this thread when you first created it the search system showed you similar threads that have already been made.
Use the search system.
Look around.
Don't click the new thread button unless you are 100% sure that there are no threads that answer your question.
EDIT : Also, DO NOT make stupid threads, like how do I use XXX's toolkit or something like that. The xda community will not spoon feed noobs. You guys have to learn like we did. Trial and error. Trust me. Once you learn how to use things without having to ask questions you will feel better.

What is the big difference between the roms contained in these 2 sections? Sorry for being a noob i just dont understand why there are 2 sections. Samsung Galaxy S 4 Android Development and the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Original Android Development
The roms in the original development section are built from source.
More aosp (less touchwiz).

People get so butt hurt when you call them out for not even trying to search... Apparently, those of us who would like to have fewer garbage topics asking the same thing are the moderators pets or something.. Eflip88 might remember that from a few days ago
No, the reason people get annoyed about a thousand different threads on the same topic couldn't be because it just makes it that much harder for people who actually WANT to do the legwork and use the search bar.. That couldn't be it...

Actually edfunkycold has been extremely helpful. No I'm not trying to be confrontational. My apologizes in advance if that's the way it sounds. The threads that edfunkycold pointed you to have the information necessary to complete what you want to do. There is going to be quite a bit of reading, and research involved. Especially as this is your first time. The best advice I can give you is read, read, and read some more. If you have any questions search the thread that pertains to what you are trying to accomplish. If you still cannot find the answer post up in that thread. Someone is usually around to help, in almost every thread. BTW, yes I do know how hard it is to search for answers to questions sometimes . Even though I've been around for a while, I still use the search function quite a bit. Sometimes more than I'd like to admit.

I honestly agree with u 100% edfunkycold cnexus and whiplash are always 1st on the scene when I need help. I just always see people saying to search. I always search b4 I post a thread and I only post a thread to get as much help as possible. There is no real filters on here and u could be stuck on the same thread for days b4 finding what u need. I also feel like posting new threads helps other noobs find things easier than finding something that was posted a year ago. I honestly meant no disrespect to anybody on these forums especially the people that's always helping and if any was taken i apologize

No offense taken at all. But read what you wrote. You feel that by starting a new thread it helps new noobs find it. You don't think that adds to the already hundreds of threads which exist, many of them repeated questions on the same topic? Now that is going g to make it even more difficult for a new person to find the thread with the correct information.
Keep in mind the longer threads with more activity are usually the ones with all the right answers. Some reading and searching will be necessary. Within the thread itself you can search that specific thread to get the information you need and the results come back in order from newest post to oldest post.
I search every day, I search mostly for people that are looking for answers. Keep in mind I do it all from my phone mobile so I only use the app.
Food for thought.

Yes I understand that but thanks to people like u and the others I mentioned links are posted to those threads right on the pages we often look for. Even tho there are repeat questions not everyone has the same desire there fore when the links a provided we get helped as much as we can by this. This isn't a dispute or argument in anyway but a "noobs stand point of thinking" if that's what u wanna call it. Maybe this explains it or maybe it doesn't but it shows we have a high regard for this Site instead of going to another forum or Google searching our issues (which most leads back to here). This is a good Site and everyone is loved here especially by us noobs. I'm not sure if u seen it but a while ago I wrote a thank you post cause what u guys do here is awesome and if it wasn't for u guys my phone would be plain old vanilla my mind bored and a bunch of noobs lost hopelessly. Maybe if we can get some filters on here maybe for dates or key words or different updates there wouldn't be soo many repeat threads. U said yourself u search using your phone (as do I 99% of the time) how long does it take u to usually find a thread you've never seen on a topic u barely have any info about?

If you go Boost or Virgin you will need a donor phone,If you go Cricket you will not as they allow flashed phones on their system.Crickets service is OK but with a flashed phone you will always be 3G no 4G. The S3 is a fairly easy phone to flash you can do it with QPST. Or since you are in louisville the corporate stores can flash it for you pretty cheap.

Use this guide only instead of using DFS use QPST http://www.cricketusers.com/cdma-sa...galaxy-s3-cricket-talk-text-mms-internet.html you could use DFS as well I just prefer QPST and a note if you use QPST write two profiles enable both of them and just make one active seems to work better that way.
