[Q] Diskusage - HTC One X

Since I had problems with my SD Card, because of loosing space, I installed Disusage.
This tool shows me in a "system data" over 1 Gbyte used by whatever.
How can I find out what this so called "system data" is and what is in there?
Does anybody know?

[Q] Link2SD doesn't appear to be working

Heya
I've got a HTC desire, and I'm using CyanogenMod-7.2.0.1-bravo. I installed link2sd, and have been letting that do its thing for he past half year.
My SD card has two partitions, a ~2GB one (I had intended to be used as the 'extra RAM') and the ~6GB one for actual SD card use.
By my calculations, I should have about 2.1GB to use for applications, but when using application manager, it only ever shows that I have the 151 MB that I originally had.
(I'm running out of space for my apps now, which is why I'm asking).
Since I started using Link2SD, whenever I use the normal application menu to "Move to SD" (which I know only moves part of the application), the total amount of used space (shown in the bar along the bottom) doesn't decrease.
Link2SD had automatically been installing things to the SD card, but I still eat up the true internal memory whenever I install an application.
Currently, when I look at Storage on Link2SD, I get this:
Internal: 144/151MB used
SD Card (mnt/sdcard): 4.28/5.44GB used
SD Card (data/sdext2): 0.2/1.9 GB used
System: 128/250MB used
Cache: 144/151MB used
When I try to move something to SD card using Link2SD (as in, click the "Create Link" button) I get "Failure: pkg:/path/to/apk Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INSUFFICIENT_STORAGE]
Essentially I would like to be able to use the whole 2.1GB to install applications on, how do I go about achieving this?
I figured out what the problem was.
Link2SD had the "Install Location" setting set to "Automatic", which meant that when I installed applications they were sometimes getting "linked to sd", and sometimes getting "moved to SD". Setting the "Install Location" to "External" ensured that everything was automatically linked (and so barely took up any internal memory).
When an application is "moved to sd" it takes up more memory internal than when it is "linked to sd".
Also, to change something from "moved to sd" to "linked to sd", the program moves it from the SD card to internal memory, and then moves it to the SD card again. Therefore, if something is "moved to SD" and you want to "link to SD" you must have enough internal memory for that application to be installed normally.
Hello,
I'm using "CM-7.2.0.1-INT2SD-S-signed.zip", with mountsd integrated in.
My µSD (8GB/class 10) has 2 partitions :
1 - FAT32 : 7GB
2 - EXT3 : 1GB.
It works fine : internal memory is about 0,98GB.
Does it work for galaxy Ace too?

HI,
I have tried with link2sd and was successful in linking the apps to SD card as well.. but don't know how but suddenly my mobile has stopped detecting the card and asked for complete format. My lappy also did not allow me to browse the card. Now i had to format it by force
Can you tell me what could be the problem and can I use Cm 7.2.0.1 mentioned above for my Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830?
Thanks,
Harris

Search Google for "external storagespace left" and open the result at forums.androidcentral.com. It won't let me post the link here because I'm a new user.

G3 D722 "storage space..." Error

Hi guys. I have a D722 8gb. Keeps running out if space. All apps are on SD card or deleted. Still happens.
Just notice in storage menu that "system data" is 4.97Gb. How can I reduce that?
Does the phone store update files that I can delete after system updates?
Where/how do I fix this.
has anyone fixed /had this problem?

Adoptable Storage Mounting Issue [ Strangest Scenario ]

I've been exploiting my mobile at it max since I got the Marshmallow update. Adopted a UHS-1 Samsung EVO 32GB card and used it to its limits.
It has been working fine until today, I woke up to a app screen where all my SD card apps were disconnected and said "App not installed", immediately I went to Storage settings and there I saw that around 100mb was left in my SD card and the bar was red. When I opened it, all the subheading, that is, music, images, videos, all of them show 0.00bytes whereas downloads folder could be accessed.
Tried deleting some files from SD card, managed to get some space from that downloads folder but it didnt work, now the strangest thing started to happen. I tried uninstalling the apps that were on SD card which showed "app not found" and I managed to uninstall them and this also freed up space on my card. Restarted my phone, still no luck.
Next up, I tried migrating data onto my ORIGINAL internal storage (8gb), and it did transfer some data, after maxing out, it said "data left at original location".
All in all, my problem is, that I'm not able to properly mount my SD card, the data is there, but no app is able to access any of it except the internal functions of HTC, like 'migrate' and all.
Need help, please let me know what should I do.
Another question is, if I root my mobile without the SD card and then re-insert the 'adopted sd card' after the root, will it read it? If that would be the case, I'd root my mobile any second. Thank you, eagerly waiting for your replies.
