Hi I'm planning on buying a microsd card for my ATRIX. I want a 32gb one. Ive never bought one of these before so I dont know much. Can someone recommend a good one that would work with the ATRIX?
I'm buying off of amazon, so if you can, try to include links to amazon with the product.
Thanks in advance

Make sure you buy a fast card though. Mine is slower than I expected and it literally slows down my entire phone and I only have pictures and music stored on it. >:[
Definitely get a true class 10.

I just purchased the SDcard I quoted above, and by all reviews it surpasses the advertised speeds. Well worth it for $36 including shipping.
And remember...
The new(ish) Sandisk 64GB microsd also works in the Atrix. Got mine last week.
A little pricier... but you can NEVER have too much storage!
Using the SanDisk Mobile Ultra 32GB microSDHC Class 6
happy with the performance, i haven't tried the 64GB card yet but i guess i will have to soon..
I cant seem to find a 32gb card over class 4 on amazon. Can anyone link me to one? The reason I want it from amazon is because I have a gift card and would like to buy it with the gift card. Thanks!

This kind of pees me off cos' it's typical of what we see in these forums, but here is your link:

All I had to do was copy and paste the part number from my post a couple above yours into Amazon search and here it is!

I have a class 2 Sandisk card running A2SD2 and using 720p with no problems or lag on either.
AS far as I know the class 4 by kingston is the highest class 32gb micro that is currently available.
I agree with chaz. I purchased a cheap 32GB from Hong Kong via eBay and it was garbage! As always, caveat emptor.
Just bought 200 of them
Yea the 32gb card for under 40 bucks is a scam no doubt........or a once in a lifetime deal...Verizon has the 32 gb card for 49.99 for 2 hours and they got swamped with orders.
be carefull guys........there are lots of fake sandisk cards going around.. I personally have the 32GB Class 2 from Sandisk that i bought from Verizon and have no issues with it. My buddy bought a 16GB from bestbuy and it was only a 4GB.
Stay away! These cards are usually a much smaller 4 or 8GB card which has 32GB printed on it. The beautiful part is they are designed to appear to your OS as a real 32GB card, so everything will be all rainbows and lollipops at first... That is, until you start filling it and eventually end up going over the actual capacity of the card. What happens after that? Well let's just say it's not pretty.
Your data is not worth the risk.

Can anyone find a review or actual read/write rates on this card. I've searched Google but saw no reviews.
google.com/shopping
before anyone jumps to this there are 3C Pro class 4 cards on google, amazon has them for a hair more but less that 100$ and reviews are saying the transfer speeds are close to class 6. with a average of around 5.44.
also there is a brand called, TOPRAM that sells class 4 32gb as well as kingston.
im ordering 2 of the 3c pro's. they seem to have the highest performance ive seen in 32gb storage

Careful folks. Just read in another forum where a guy was advertising super cheap 32 Gig sd cards on eBay only to have his ad pulled down as being a fraud.

I bought 1 card from ebay and it was faked. After that I paid the higher dollar and got a guaranteed card. I have the sandisk card and and TBH the transfer speeds are about the same as they are on my class 4 16gb card.
I'm running the 32gb Sandisk class 2 purchased from Amazon for $75. Read speeds seem to be several mb/s faster than the stock 8gb card. I think it's a good value at this price.

I've been running this for a month or so, and it's fantastic. It's just what it says -- I ran some speed tests when I first got it, and it came up with something around 4.5 MB/sec write speed (didn't copy it down...should have). So basically it's a class 4 as promised. I picked it up when it first came out at newegg for $87.

i'm also looking to get at least one lexar 32gb class 10 micro sd card. the only thing i'm worried about is the compatibility with my vibrant. is lexar a safe brand to use with it? (i've read that there were problems with the Kingston micro sd cards)
I have a scan disk 8gig sd card, the one that came with the phone. I'm looking to upgrade the sd card. I have two questions (I did search on xda sorry if I didn't see this question answered already)
1) What's the highest gig the Evo 4G will support?
2) What type of sd card should I get, like company name and all that?
Thanks.
32gb, san disk class 6
There really isnt a best card, just get the highest class you can afford.
The one piece of advice though, do NOT buy memory cards off ebay. 80% of the cards on there are fakes. Purchase from an authorized retailer, like newegg.

The company that has had the most positive results is SanDisk. Not all packages will say what class the card is so look for a "C" with a number inside of it. 10 is the best right now but SanDisk ones are hard to find. Like a previous poster said, Class 6 is the most popular and fairly nicely priced.

Unfortunately, it's not just eBay. Both CircuitCity (when they were in business) and most recently BestBuy have actually had fake SanDisk cards ON THEIR SHELVES. That's pretty brazen by the forgers.

Because SanDisk seems to be such a big target for forgeries, I switched to Kingston for my memory cards in my phone, tablet, camera, my kids' Nintendo DS, etc. I've been very happy with them.
Just recently I got a 32gb Class 4 Patriot for under $40 (for my Acer A500 tablet) and I'm very happy with its performance. So don't overlook Class 4 if money is a bit tight because it will get you a much bigger card for the money that still does the job well.
I have a 16GB Class 4 Kingston in my HTC Evo 4G and currently have it partitioned for running Synergy RLS1, which is also performing very well.
I'm looking for a good quality or at least good performing 16sd card. I'm trying to find a good value, and I've found some class 10's on ebay for like $13, but I know there are variables such as what format they are, but I'm not too hip on what's best? I have a class 4 SanDisk 8gb, and it's time for something faster with more space for all of my backups. If someone maybe has an ebay or amazon link to something they've bought & have been pleased with that would be great! Thanks in advance.

Class 6 and reliable when I got mine.
I just ordered a UHS-1 30mb/s read speed, sandisk 32Gb micro sd card for 28 euro, for performance i would go with a class 10 or UHS-1 which operates as class 10s maximum speeds
Ideal for HD recording etc.
On a side note, any memory cards purchased off ebay should be tested for their true capacity, use a german software called H2testw, its gold standard for testing memory read/write speeds. And total capacity
One can not determine if the seller is 100% genuine or not unless its a credible company
It is possible to have a memory card stating its 32GB size for example, but in reality this card could really be only 8GB in size, a tiny program could be installed on a hidden partition and as you save more files to your card, once the 8GB limit has reached it overwrites your oldest files with the newly saved files to keep space, operating systems are fooled into thinking the particular card has a full capacity of 32GB which is not actually true

Grabbed my PNY 32 gig at best buy its a class 10 and has pretty good benches online for $40 right now. It isn't as good as a deal as ebay or amazon but with all the insane amount of counterfeit cards I really felt the still over priced on sale micro sd was a better option.

The worlds fastest micro sdhc is the sandisk extreme pro at 95mb/s, the largest size is 16GB at present, but the speed is useless in a phone, as no phone supports UHS 1 specification.
if it's to be used in a phone then the samsung 16GB class 10 is the fastest at write 21mb/s and read 24mb/s, largest size is 16GB.

Thanks Man! I never heard of sdhc before? Until Android supports it then it won't do much good for me, because I only use sd cards these days for transferring files from between phones, media storage, etc. I generally use usb drives for all my other portable storage needs, but I'll definitely be keeping my eye on sdhc for any advancements in compatibility.
My new sandisk class 10, is well over twice as fast as those old class 4 cards I was constantly shuffling around! This is great for transferring large rom files & movies to external memory.
Better go for SanDisk sdhc class6:thumbup::thumbup:

I meant sdhc sandisk extreme pro, and in the midst of screaming children I didn't finish what I was typing. Though I did not know that 64gb or larger is called sdxc? Is that why it seems they have to be formated differently out of the box or ppl tend to have issues when using them with Android?
Hi. I've been following the threads about 64gb msd cards with interest and, as a new note user, there is one thing that still worries me. Are these cards reliable? I've read so many negative reviews where a card dies after a few weeks/months. People have frequently lost precious data 'cos they got no warning of this (yes, I know you should keep backups). Can those who use them tell me how long you have been using a specific card for? Are Samsung cards more reliable in the long term? Just can't make up my mind whether to risk it and go for the larger capacity. On the other hand, I've also read some similar tales of 32gb cards failing after a very short time...

I removed my 32gb card copied the info from it, to my computer desktop, then I transferred that info to my new card, Then I installed into my Note 10.1 and wallah works perfectly,I did not even format it, I used it right out of the package, Hope this helps, Plus I thought the price was Great, Ive been looking around for one,and when I seen Staples had one listed for $120.00 YIKES.. 1/2 the price at Microcenter ,

That's exactly what I'm worried about! Sorry to hear that! Seems there are a lot of faulty cards around and I've read many such comments in reviews on Amazon. Even 32gb cards, which you'd think would be more reliable, maybe. Can you tell me more about the cards I.e, were they both the same product code and bought from the same place? Did you have any trouble replacing the 1st one?
