cyanogen for htc one x - HTC One X

Hope the root issue us sorted soon so that cyanogen goodness can be experienced on the htc one x...does anyone know how you can adjust the status bar to get a battery icon with percentage left?

CM 9 is already being worked on.

There are a few apps/widgets that can put a battery % in the status bar.
I.e. notification toggle and battery widget.

[Q] CM7 Battery Status Bar

I've searched this forum but does anyone know how to display the battery in status bar like in old CM builds?
Do you mean battery percentage? No unless you flash a battery % mod then it won't be viewable. Its not an option in CMsettings for some reason, I think its due to the way that the battery is vertical and its not very big so theres not much room for numbers.
There are apps that can put your battery % in the notifications bar, but really this just drains more battery than its worth. What I've been doing is in CMsettings under Lockscreen you can set to always show the battery % on the lockscreen. That way every time you turn the phone on you can glance at the %.
what battery % mods will work on htc aria, ive been searching with no luck

An update for you OP, the builds I think after nightly #5 of CM7 have an option to show the battery % in place of the battery icon in the normal status bar now.

Notification bar disappears on Jelly bean as notification center is dropped down??

Hey guys, I know I might be a little picky, but here is my question.
In Jelly bean, the notification bar disappears when you drop down the notification center which only displays the date/settings option and ofcourse the notifications you might have. Notification bar works just fine on the lock screen and mainscreen, however, my theme does not permit me to make it visible on the mainscreen. This was not a problem on ICS, as the notification bar showed up just fine even with the notification center dropped down.
Is there a solution to this? I would really like to see my notification bar with my drop down center at the same time.
not to be nit picky, but notification center is the iOS copy of the notification panel from android.
Anyways, yes, it does make your notificaiton bar disappear, which is annoying since you dont see your signal, battery level, etc. I havent see anyway around this yet.

Where did iOS randomly come from? lol.
But yes, now we are unable to see signal, battery % etc from the notification drop down.

How are you able to get the notification panel to work on the lockscreen?

Right now my phone is not locked, that's why. But that is not the point, regardless of that I can still see my notification bar (signal/battery etc), I just want that notification bar to be shown when you have your notification center dropped down (this was normal on ICS, but they removed it in JB)

Why does it need to be fixed? You can't live without battery or signal bars for few seconds?
well its a simple reason why they did this. with the notifications pulled down, you don't need to be looking at the top bar because all the notifications are in front of you anyway. and the date and time is also visible in the new notification shade as a bigger font.

What is the point of using Android then, if you cannot customize it to your own personal preference? I just want it to be more convenient. Especially since the only time I can see my notification bar is on the lock screen.....

Well it's not like its going to cause a huge problem if they left the bar as it was in ICS and every other android OS..... I don't particularly care about the date and time, I just want the wifi/3g signals to be clearly visible with other graphic notifications which don't show up in the notification panel drop down.
If u look closely the notification tray actually drops down and on top of the status bar and is partially transparent on the bottom half of the header.. so I think the answer is yes, in time maybe someone will do a fully transparent status bar header(hopefully getting rid of the second clock for my ocdness). Or something...

Yeah I just hope some one has a fix for this soon. I didn't see any reason for them to remove it in the first place.
I did not notice this until you pointed it out... How long do you stay with your notification bar down?

If you read the previous comments, you would see that I have a custom theme, requiring me to drop my notification bar down just to look at it... Or go to lock screen, which is extremely irritating whenever I want to see that useful info on my bar.
Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone, and I understand that. If I knew how to fix this myself, I would but alas I am a noob who is still trying to learn the way of Android

There might be a setting, Expanded Desktop! Turn it off!!!
If you use two fingers to pull the status bar, you can see the remaining battery and the signal at least

HTC Themed status bar?

Is there a htc themed status bar alone? Like the battery icon and the dropdown menu. It would kinda look good on the ET4G. I know Sense ROM is on its way good but kinda anxious to just see if theres a battery icon/pull down menu as on HTC phones for our phone?

is there a simple app to show battery percentage?

so seeing the green bar isnt very helpful IMO. a percentage would be much greater. my phone is not "rooted" and i run apex launcher instead. is there a simple app to show me the percentage in my notification bar?
Yes there is one of my favorites is Battery Widget Reborn

you can try "settings extended"
it will also give you toggles in your notification tray. great app imo.
thanks guys, i will download both and play around with them.
the first app worked kind of. the percentage displayed on the left... but so did the battery bar on the right.
settings extended has the battery bar on the left too. but I don't understand the point of the app. it looks as if it's supposed to let me replace my notification bar with my own? but I don't understand how to do that

Have you tried Power Toggles? You get the battery percentage but also super useful toggles on the notification drop down for wifi, BT, brightness, volume etc....

[ViperRom] Battery Status bar icon

For some reason there are two icons for battery (one text/one icon) and they seem to be independent of eachother in the settings.
I have turned the text battery percentage off before but made a mistake flashing the update and had to start from scratch and now I can't find it

Thanks

The Viper rom comes with two battery icons, and many more can be downloaded from the Hub. You have two preinstalled -- a stock HTC icon and the Viper 5 icon which has embedded text in it. However, there is also a pure text percentage that is independent of the other two.
The battery icons can be found in VenomTweaks/Status Bar/Status Bar Tweaks/Status bar theme
Click on that and you will see the default internal battery icon. Click on that and you will see the Viper 5 icon. Apply which one you want.
Now go to Settings/Power and scroll down to "Show battery level". This is the stand alone text percentage you see in the status bar. Turn off or on.

HTC changed / eliminated the code for charging animations in recent bases. So the image is there but the system isn't telling them to show up, from what I understand
