THIS IS NOT THE FINAL OTA!
FE16:
The File
QbKing and the ACS team have been kind enough to host the update for us here:
http://forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php?5267-EL29-to-FD24-official-ICS-update-zip!
QbKing was graciously made an instructional video for this file. Please use the URL at ACS above to watch it.
Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it.
And thanks to the source! If you hit the thanks button you really are thanking him. We are just couriers.
DISCLAIMER: This is a file from Sprint. This is not the final release though.
Wouldn't Dropbox work?
Wow! Wonderful!
Thanks KC!
Ya, but not at my speed. I am at the fire station with horrible download speeds.

Your saying FD24 is OTA!?!?! There are quite a few bugs still in there.
Maybe ask rainmotorsports. He's hosting for sfhub and others.

just post the URL where you got it from... It has to be on Googles server by now or Kies.

Sadly ota have been released with bugs before perhaps another bug they didn't know about?
This is the official ICS release??
Let the fun begin! This is great news. Maybe we can now get source for some awesome custom KERNALs from Steady.

Yea the file is named sornfowernfnFD24--sjknfinvonrv blah and just rename it to update.zip easy enough
Not that I really care about it since I am going with the AOSPlike from tjohnsonjr but it would be fun to play with.

Yeah, because 30 test builds weren't enough.
i'm sure they will be testing the update as well. there's a lot of settings and whatnot to migrate from 2.3 to 4.0. if the op actually has an update, it's probably a pre-release update made for testing the update itself... but who knows

I know this question has been asked before...but that was a long time ago. and if i'm posting in the wrong section please...do with me what you must. Well with the recent leak and base rom of EF02, (thanks chris41g and SamFirmware!), should the one released with the nexus s work? I'm currently using the i3 rom and it says it's based off the nexus s stock rom... or maybe it already has it but i'm just blind? idk... can anyone give me peace of mind? Thanks in advance
Support for gtalk video is in 2.3.4, all of our leaks are 2.3.3.
awww damnit... i thought it was for any GB release. there isn't any way huh? stupid question huh? Thanks though!

Not all the time
cd's or tapes?
wouldn't it be the same as the whole netflix situation?? it was for the some devices on different versions (i think 2.3.4) and some devs have gotten it to work with younger devices too. i thought maybe the same could happen with gtalk?
Not true guys I have gtalk with video working on ef02
If someone can tell me an easy way to upload a zip using taptalk ill upload the version I have

There is the link, just flash with cwm I used 3.101 so I can't say any others work. The person you want to chat with has to have a cam and/or mic didn't really figure out exactly what was needed but talk will let you know through your buddy list who you can voice/video chat with. Enjoy guys. I didn't make this I just found it in general development. Sorry I will not offer support on this. Flash at your own risk, blah, blah, balh.

Looks like a build but the zimage is FB17 just to hold you off. I think I will flash that kernel and see how it works.

Okay then. I might as well get these questions out of the way then (because I know I'll be asking at some point somewhere else):
1. Does the FF18 kernel fix the SD issues seen in previous ICS builds?
(Or is this even a problem anymore?)
2. Also with this source, will there be a way to permanently install CWM to the device's recovery?
(This might have always been possible, I just don't know how to get it to stick. It seemed so much easier with my old Nexus S 4G and my Xoom)

thats kernel source, they dont include the ramdisk you have to pack with it. the only way to get that is by having root and dumping boot.img (or getting it from lets say a cwm/twrp backup )
as soon as i h ave teh ramdisk im gunna kick out a small simple kernel for you guys so you can use various tools to help improve your device, ill enable init.d for yall as well as make it insecure so you can use scripts like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955745 and really improve your phone. in case you werent aware bootanimation is already enabled, just swap out /system/media/bootanimation.zip with the one you want
my buddy interloper is going to be looking over his finances in an effort to get this phone, hes been wanting it, plus it will make for a great addition to the teams roster (of devices hit). you guys might remember him from the e4gt where he made a few kernels, or maybe even from the photon q where he is working on cm10 for them.
