[Q] hack built-in addon dictionary - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello, how are you?
It seems that it is possible to add news dictionaries on ICS for the built-in keyboard, but my language is not available for download.
(In Settings > Language & input > Android keyboard settings > Add-on dictionaries, My language is not available to download).
I noticed that the Galaxy Nexus available in my country does have a dictionary add-on for my language installed, thus I was wondering whether it is possible to hack it and install it on my phone.
I mean, now there is a Galaxy Nexus available in my country and It does have a dictionary for my language installed on the built-in keyboard, Is it possible to hack(find out where this dictionary is installed and copy it) to install it on another phone?
I appreciate any help you can give me

someone?

[Q] Android 4.0 UI Language

Hello all,
I have the Galaxy Nexus and when I was configuring it, there was no Arabic in the UI language list.
As far as I know that most developers confirmed that the new version of Android (ICS) will have the Arabic language (menu & options Arabized).
Is there any way to enable the Arabic language on Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks,
Try to use some app that will make locale manually like morelocale2, that's work great with hebrew, after that our device set to hebrew.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I tried it but it almost did nothing. Only numbers were arabized
What I know for sure is that Arabic is *fully* supported for reading and if you need writing download any Arabic keyboard. I didn't see anyone say it will support Arabic menu. This is to the best of my knowledge

So,
It seems like Samsung has introduced a new way for supporting languages on the Galaxy S3.
If you go inside the language settings you will see a nice bunch of languages.
But! Those are not all the available languages on the phone!
There are 5(!) more languages you can "unlock" in 2 ways.
The languages are:
Arabic (ar)
Farsi (fa)
Hebrew (iw)
Japanese (ja)
Thai (th)
Vietnamese (vi)
Chinese (zh)
The easy way to enable them is to download the application "morelocale2" and add to choose or add the language code you want.
With this method you will not see these languages in your language settings.
To enable these languages in the language setting of your phone, you will need to root it.
you can use Chainfires method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1660918
The next step is to use root explorer or any other familiar application and go into /system/csc.
There is a file there named languages.xml.
If you open the file you will see a list of languages to display.
Just add your desired language code from the list above (in 2 places in the file) + country code, reboot, and then you will see that language in your language setting!
good luck!
Is no one able to help with this???

Hebrew Keyboard not working

I have a stock ROM installed and it allows me to download additional languages from Samsung every single additional language works except for Hebrew, although it works if I do it in handwriting recognition or to change the entire language of the phone with language enabler (It is rooted), anybody got any insight as to how I can fix this issue and have Hebrew installed as part of the Samsung keyboard?
Thank You in advance.

Add more locales to stock rom?

Hello.
There are apps available that allow you change system locale and by doing so whole interface switches to the selected locale. This means that all these languages are already in the rom, so why don't they appear in the settings -> languages selection?
How can we add more available languages without need of 3nd party app?
Thank you.

I found the way by myself
I think the other language could work also.
1. install setting.apk
2. Amazon keyboard popup disable
adb shell
su
pm disable com.amazon.tv.ime
3. Install Korean(DoDol Keyboard) keyboard from google play store
- android setting -> language input -> installed keyboard setting
4. Now I can use english and korean both...
I can't seem to use your method..
Hi kwansiky,
I was wondering if you could help me out I'm trying to use a second language on my AFTV. I've installed settings.apk as you suggested, but when I go to "Language & input" it just crashes. Anything special you did to make it work?
Thanks!
