On stock 1.28 (without the 3-dot menu patch) do you get the three dot menu in the Friendcaster app?
I've been in touch with Friendcaster developers about the dots showing in their ICS optimized app and they've said that it shouldn't be showing.
Now since 1.28 was supposed to fix the 3 dot menu showing up in some apps in which it was not supposed to (like YouTube), they want to know if the issue still persist in 1.28.
Since the update has still not hit India, I cannot test it myself. Please do report back. It's a really nice app

I updated my Desire HD to 2.3 and i have a problem my home screen ui is moving very very slowly with a normal wallpaper when i put a live wallpaper its even worse.
When i had 2.2 i never had this problems anyone have any answers.
UI moves the same way with or without USB debugging.
is it just the home screen?
is the 'All Apps' menu acting the same?
and how about the UI of other apps?
Only the home screen is moving slow the menu and apps are moving perfectly
given that you dont have some 3rd party widget that MAY be slowing down the homescreen
Try going into Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>
Then go to HTC Sense (the one with the icon of a home screen) and click Clear Data (NOTE: this will remove all the widgets from the home screen)
Personally, im not 100% sure if this will work, but it has helped me in some problems with my home screen.

nop its still the same slow moving home screen
in that case, you have two options---
1) You could do a factory reset (since you just updated, i dont think it'll be a big problem) but remember to backup your data, apps, etc... (IM not 100% sure that it'll work either, but if it doesnt then i think you have a problem with your ROM)
2) You could wait for someone to come and answer.
i did the factory reset a few days after the update to see if it would help but no such luck
Then i THINK the problem could be with your ROM.

Thats an official ROM, if you have CWM recovery, then i would suggest a stock-rooted ROM CLICK HERE
reinstaling the update worked perfectly now my phone home screen is moving perfect it dosent feel like a nokia 3310
I updated my HOX to jelly bean and I am still hoping that someone can help me with JB issue before reverting it to ICS.
1. issue from contacts
- I can't edit nor delete contacts
-no options available aside from add and search
2. Messaging
- no any menus that can tweak my messaging setup
3. Call logs
- I can't find a way to delete call logs
4. 3 dot menu on the upper right corner of the screen is gone on JB.

You are using cm10, don't use it if you are very used to HTC sense and have problem with camera not taking full screen pics, ofcourse there are solutions to it but you will need to search in the development forum before posting. Just go through cm10 thread, for full screen camera, use ucam app from play store

You must bring these up in the thread of the development, but first search through to see if there are any answers to your questions, don't just ask.
I recently updated my ROM version to the latest version, and suddenly realize that the settings/options icon is missing in several applications. In Google Chrome, for example, the options button (with the three dots) next to the tabs icon is missing. The softkey options button in Gmail and almost every other app is also missing.
I found a thread on Google Product Forums describing this problem I'm having, except it was for a phone with a hardware options button. Therefore, does my phone maybe think that it has hardware buttons, for some reason? And how do I get it back?

There should be an option in your settings somewhere saying something like menu-UI overflow, or something along those lines.

Thank you, that solved it! I found it was an AOKP setting, and it was under Settings -> ROM Control -> General UI -> Show Menu UI Overflow.
Hey guys,
I'm right now facing some issues on my D-HD phone, which runs CM 12.1 custom ROM from this forum. Also I'm on the 12.1-20151201-unofficial-aceopt (!) build.
Issues:
a) The background of the untouched Lock screen is blacked out, as soon as I swipe to unlock the intended wallpaper is showing for a sec, then the home screen.
b) The status bar, if swiped down, blacks out the whole screen, popup messages aren't stuck to the bar and are hiding behind it.
I can't do a screenshot of it, due to the behavior of the screenshot option, that is killing the expanded status bar.
c) On the screen for recent apps (by button), ALL app preview screens are empty, only the head bars with the app names are appearing.
My phone was bug free, until I started to test an self-programmed app through Android Studio on it (per ADB, app wasn't complex nor corrupted).
I'm using the standard Trebuchet launcher (though I tested others, to see if it causes the problems), and the "Euphoria Dark Theme for CM12" ,which was also installed before the problems appeared.
I also did several reboots.
I did the full forum and google search, but wasn't able to find issues or solutions that are like this.
Do you have an idea, what am I able to do?

Which i have understand with your issues is that,
1)your are not getting transparent status bar, right?
2) after pulling down your notification panel you get black background in that, right ?
3) your lock screen's background is black , right ?
4) and after all these 3 issues you were also facing no animation in you window/scroll etc, right ?
For those all problem just go to settings>about phone and tap about 7 to 8 time on build number then go back you will see developer option there now tap on that find the option some thing like "force high-end graphics" switch on that and reboot your phone your problems will be solved.

After marshmallow update, they added a swipe down feature while on home screen where it will show suggested/recently used apps . So how do I clear that? THANKS
Long press on homescreen, settings then the first option available is legacy or modern then choose legacy
But theres no such option for me. How do i off? Its freaking annoying everytime i wanna swipe down the notification it will go to suggested app
I have the same problem on the Sony Z3 Compact. Is this a Sony "feature"? I've just uodated updated to Android 6. I never had these irritating suggestions before.
There are ten suggested apps on this menu, six of which I have never used and have no interest in using.

I have a Z3+ and the new update doesn't have the options for how apps are shown ( frequently used, own order etc) and the VERY annoying features of staying on the page you were last and having a page of suggested apps which i HATE!!
How can I get back to how it used to be before 6.0.
