Clear the play store cache and data then boot into recovery and wipe both caches and fix permissions.
Reboot system.
Open play store and it should work now.
I hope that helps!

Play Store Errors

I keep getting the "Error Processing Purchase" bug.
I cleared cache and data, rebooted. Nothing.
I'm on codename.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I can't download a single thing. Any help would be great.

Under accounts, delete your google account, then re-add it.
Make sure you remember what you were syncing before you do that.
Problem solved.
I'll try it and post if it works.

Well that was easy. Haha. Thanks.

hit the button.
I don't go looking for "thanks" clicks. Knowing that the solution fixed the problem was "thanks" enough.
Now its doing it again. But now removing my account doesn't fix it.

Have same issue? How do u remove an account?

Try pushing this: http://db.tt/XLxSCnKf
Just use a root explorer and go to system/app. Rename original vending.apk to vending.bak. Paste the one from the link above and fix its permissions to match the other apps. Reboot. Now go to application manager and find google play store. Clear cache/data and force stop google play store. Now go try the play store again. This version of the app fixed most of the market errors on AOKP based roms.

1.Wipe Dalvik Cache at CWM.
2.Wipe Cache at CWM.
3.Fix Permission at CWM.
4.Clear Cache at Play Store.
5.Clear Cache at Google Services Framework. (This step required for fixing 6.authentication error for Google Talk & Facebook.)
7.Reboot phone - Done.

Which one of these steps worked for you guys? I am able to download free apps but when I go to purchase an app that costs $, I get an error message saying "An error occurred. Please try again." I am currently on the Slim n Trim 1.8 ROM
I started having that issue again yesterday. Purchased 3 apps then started getting that error on all apps since. I have tried things above, none of these things seem to work anymore. I fixed it before by pushing a fixed vending.apk, but that didn't work this time. I have cleared cache and data for it, download manager, google framework and still getting error. I even flashed a whole new ROM with no luck. I'm out of ideas.

Every time it happens to me I just remove my Google account. Clear cache and dalvik and reflash the rom without clearing data and put the account back on.
Taking proper steps for this as well.

Didn't work. It only does this to me on AOKP ROMs.

It's happened to me like 4 times and these steps worked for me.
Maybe backup apps and do a full wipe/fresh install?
I did a full wipe/install of a newer ROM and still have errors. It started happening yesterday evening on Nocturnal Venum. I fresh installed Slim-n-Trim after everything else failed to fix it.

I would do a full wipe. Fresh install gb. Boot up. Set up account. Then full wipe and flash ics. Maybe that will fix it.
Just guessing here. Trying to help you out.

Try deleting your Google account and then log back in and reboot. See if that fixes it. I've seen this error many times but only on a few apps

You don't necessarily have to delete your Google account. You can try clearing data under manage applications. For some (myself included) that did not work. I actually had to reboot into CWM and Fix permissions. I then rebooted system and viola, all was well.
If you search on the forums for that exact error message, a thread should come up with the above suggestions and a few others.
Hooey this helps.

Package invalid

Okay so first things first:stock rom stock everything
What I've tried before asking for help
1. Tried re-downloading said apps (multiple apps)
2.uninstall-reinstall
3.clear playstore information
4.opera normal is the only one of a couple that are giving this error that I care about. Tried using other versions of opera that have never been installed before on this device or downloaded from my playstore account, they work perfectly fine. Its just the one version that just happens to be (what's in my opinion) the best.
Havent tried a factory reset, this happened after I synced/updated with kies and added a whole bunch of music on my standard 16gb sd card....had to move it from my phone storage because it caused problems
My question is obviously how do I fix this?
As a part 2 to that question how do I figure out where my phone is default installing apps? It should be the phone storage not the sd card right?
EDIT/UPDATE: FIREFOX GIVES SAME ERRORS

Or you could roll back to a previous version of the PlayStore by uninstalling the current one.
That worked in a number of cases.
I had the same problem and I had to do the following:
1. Cleared the cache and data from: Google play store, Google Play services, and Google Services Framework
2. If under the Google play store there is a button to uninstall updates do that as well.
3. Reboot into recovery and clear cache and the davik cache
I then rebooted and I was fine. Have not seen the problem since
