Trying to do IMEI injection, unsuccessfully:
I have followed every step in this instruction guide thoroughly, however my IMEI is still not being restored. I currently have a partially corrupted IMEI (the last two digits in the 15 digit string are wrong). After I hit Write NV, it seems as if nothing happens, and upon rebooting, my IMEI is still two digits off from what it is supposed to be. Could anyone PLEASE provide any insight on this issue? Thank you so much
EDIT: Upon closer examination, as soon as i close the RF NV Memory Manager and re-open it and re-read the values from my phone, the old, partially corrupted IMEI returns.. not sure what to do. It seems as if the values just aren't sticking, no matter how many times I try to Write the NVs.
Also, if this helps at all, I have service and my screen does show a 4G icon; I can send and receive text messages, send and receive Google Talk messages, but I cannot load any web pages at all or use Google Search or go on Play Store/etc. This may lead me to believe that since my IMEI is only very slightly corrupted (with the last two digits being off), I still have some functionality of my phone, although not all of it.

Does z3x successfully restore the IMEI on our Tmobile galaxy s3's? I don't see it listed under the supported Samsung devices page, which is why I'm asking. Thanks!

For the average person to do this would require that they purchase a z3x dongle box for samsung phones as well as purchase the activation for samsung phones from z3x. We are looking for an alternative to this. There are other services out there that will provide this same service. I recommend that we all create backups of our NV's so that in case something does happen we can restore it ourselves

what version of z3x did you use to repair IMEI? t999 imei repair is not supported on z3x, says supporter himself. I even tried v13.8.

shinigenEddy, did you do the restore? Or, did you stop at only injecting it?

Why is this thread still up when the link is dead?!? Usually mods are so quick to delete any post/thread for trivial reasons yet fail to remove/fix this. I also don't understand what the point of all this PM garbage is, as if the steps to fix the IMEI problem are some sort of secret you're not allowed to post (well, maybe they are, but I'm not sure).

I was about to say the same thing. If you Google the firmware number, there is a link from Samsung updates that gives you rapid gator and another but they both say the file is to big for free users to download. There is a 3rd link on that page also that says it's still uploading

It will be for use with Odin. You will have to extract it and use the tar file with Odin

At first I'm just going to do the usual root, deodex, etc but I have been working with Dr ketan from the n7100 and he should be able to patch the bootloader. Then who knows.......

If this is anything like the GS3 OTA it will install a new bootloader that will jack up any rollback to earlier android versions. Brick like symptoms will follow. Definitely not for me...
I'll wait for the chefs to whip it into shape...

Whoever ROOT's can u please Patch the Tethering also... thanks

Important information..

Don't try install any custom rom.. The official rom is better than any other rom. After I try many rom, I think the official is better. Because everything work good and stable.

and we need your opinion...why?

custom roms are the reason android will forever be better then apple. but in the case of huawei p6 costum roms are useless because i can't install any of them because i bricked my phone once with b118cn so i think devs should first find a way to safely unlock bootloader and then start on building a good rom

I'm closing this thread considering that:
There's absolutely no basis for the comment;
It's turning into a best (type of) ROM war;
