Hey, I have recently installed ics on my arc s. I'm wondering if anybody knows if they have fixed the GPS drop issue that we had back in gb. I dont have any of the apps myself so if anybody can help me that'll be great. I'm talking mainly about offline gps like co pilot and navigon

Hi,
U are not the only who has this issue. Sony is still looking for the solution.
If you root the phone and delete the liveware app after that download the newest, it would work without problems.
Otherwise there is no official solution yet.
I went to a repair centre and they downgraded to gb from ics because I couldn't use my smartwatch...

I'm considering getting a LiveView watch off ebay, and was wondering if it's compatible with ICS. Now I've seen this thread I might bite the bullet and get one for £19.95 they seem a bargain.

That is cheap. It is compatible but so far none of the plugins seems to compatible with ics on any ics device due to the liveview application so its from sonys side. But its still useful. Ive been getting texts which ive been checking during my training at work.

The easiest way is to root then use link to sd to convert LiveWare Manager to a user app, update from Play Store then convert back to a System app. That's what I did, mow just waiting for my LiveView to get delivered by Mail Man.

Does the LiveView Calendar work with ICS or is it only Gingerbread & lower that can connect with the Calendar?

I've been using my LiveView with my Arc S since I fully charged it, and with the LiveView Charm app installed and started on the Arc S I've only had connection dropouts when I've strayed to far away from my phone. The lack of compatability with ICS on the Plugin front is a pain, but since the LiveView has a decent digital Watch screensaver and as far as I can tell all the stock Plugins that come with the LiveView work, I know to the All events tile, Text messages tile, Facebook tile & Find phone tile works. Not too sure about the Missed calls tile as I've not had any missed walls since I've been using the LiveView, the only tile that doesn't seem to be working is the Calendar tile.

i have Xperia Arc S and live view watch and the connection keep drop when not using the watch on ICS 4.04 ,even when the watch in the range of the mobile Bluetooth .
its ugly thing that you need to re-establish connection every half hour , it make the watch kind of useless object .
Ive purchased an app called liveview manager and it kinda prevents the drop issue. I mean its once every couple of hours even then its very rare

hi, i upgraded my xperia arc to ICS three days after it had come been released. The issue is that previously all apps i ever installed were working. Since the upgrade most of the heavy games such as Asphalt 6, Asphalt 7, GT motor academy and many more are not running or stop working even before the race starts.
I had bricked my phone 6 months ago in an attempt to root it and with the help of a ROM from XDA, i was able to get my phone running again. After this my phone refused to get updated through PC suite but successfully went through the Sony updater.
Can anyone plz tell me if this can be fixed and what is causing it??

It's more of an ics problem, I have issues with games as well but not the ones you mentioned.
Ics is not game friendly like gb was, not100% certain but don't think there is a work around other than going back to gb.

Angry Birds Runs on Arc S?
hi,
Anyone tried Angry Birds GO?
I gave it try in 2 or 3 ROMs i like, i never succeded ...
Perhaps too heavy for our device?
I am not a heavy player, just once in a while some asphalt 7 and have no problems with that...
Thanks,
Anyone?

Make sure you let the video process until done after you record (if you record in 1080p,it will take a hell lot of time)

i have a rooted xperia arc running CM9. I flashed cm9 rom last week,at first, the gps worked perfectly, but after a week(today), here is what happens:
I use google maps. The gps finds my location successfully, but the arrow on google maps is rotating around itself.
What can i do to fix this. Any help would be appreciated : /
I already tried to change the gps.config, but still the arrow on google maps rotates around itself
EDIT: Solved by flashing another rom, Xperia Ultimate HD. Perfect ROM

Google Earth runs terribly for me on my 101XS running stock 4.1 - laggy and strange flashing artifacts.
Used to run perfectly on my old G9
Is this the same for anyone else? Has anyone managed to get this running successfully?

I have same problem. It is not to be used.
I used BlueAndroid - V01on my 101xs.
Archos emailed me to say they are testing new firmware that fixes the issue with Google Earth.
They didn't tell me the version number or what other features or fixes will be included.
Hope it's JB 4.2 ...
