Why not to cook a galaxy s3 rom for our htc One x?

I was about to ask you the same question, why dont you cook one?

Wait..what? You mean you want to port ugly and unusable touchwiz to our beautiful hox? Doesn't make sense if you ask me lol

You can also chuck your phone in the sea to see if it floats, it's not recommended but just to see if it's possible

It's shame for HOX. And we are far better in development with different roms. Have you tried all.

Is anybody working on a sense JB based ROM at the moment or is there one out there that I may have missed that I can test run?

I don't think your supposed to post this here, but there is a post somewhere in the general section for One V talking about it.
On a side note: A lot of people, I believe at least, are waiting for it to be port to a device with a "not so different" screen then ours or more similar hardware.

HTC wont be releasing an official JB rom for the OneV but eventually, they will release something similar enough that we can port. We have no hardware limits, like the wildfire S does/did so the sky is totally our limit

The one x+ shipped with sense jellybean I will try to learn ROM porting this Christmas after I learn kernels

I hate sense - it looks ugly and old fashioned! But the camera would be welcome.. I miss it.. the one on PA ( and I guess all JB roms) sucks..

Mark my words: We'll be enjoying Android 5.x on our AOSP/AOKP builds before HTC gets around releasing 4.2.

If HTC updated us to 4.2 we'd likely lose the ability to move apps to the sdcard partition. And it's not like they're giving us trebuchet, most 4.2 changes are lockscreen and launcher centric.

I have 4.2 on my nexus 7 there not that much different from my 4.1.1 hox so won't be going crazy if it doesn't come anytime soon lol there are plenty of roms to keep me happy

I'll have to see that, cause we all know from past announcements/confirmations that they not all have seen the light. Just wait and see (till it arrives), no speculations and I don't believe in confirmations.
I like the look of Sense 5, but I prefer it on a HTC One, instead of my One X. I'm not entirely blown away by BlinkFeed, for me the clock and calendar are the most important info to be seen, news and social feeds come after that.

I don't know why they released their flagship for this year with 4.1.not 4.2?
So we hox owners will have to wait for sense 5.0 release after the release of HTC One then wait for the new Android version after they update it also..... Please god give us patience

snese 4+ is sense 4.5 .... ...no they do upgrade to sense 5 also but not all features like the camera thing etc which needs the other hardware...

Well Android 4.2 has more tablet features than phone features. Its not a major update so shouldn't be a big deal.

Well technically yes, but I think it'll be very hard because the resolution of the screens are very different. Porting from Full HD to HD takes lots of work you know

so many devs got so many roms ported like on other htc's ....it's difficult but they could do that...it would take really a lot of time but HTC WILL updating ...they said it and why the hell could the hox doesn't get it? it's hardware is enough for android 4.2 with sense 5 or even higher version...till android 5 oder even 6....and if porting or cm we would also get android 7

I just want to get the latest update so to enhance my UX. In all honesty, as much as i love my HOX, Sense 4+ is (still) such a resource-hog.

I can foresee HTC releasing a dubbed down Sense 4.5. In my opinion it would not be in their best interest to release full Sense 5 for older generation phones when it's the major unique selling point for the newly released One handset.
If this were the case I would imagine some of the awesome developers within the rom community will port a full version after some time

Probably. This is just my opinion here but why put all the time and effort into porting it from a completely different device when HTC are working on bringing sense 5 to our one x.
What would make sense to me is that devs will wait for a leaked sense 5 base for our device then work from that
