Just downloading and installing OTA for Asia (in Thailand).
Version number is 1.28.707.10. Have no idea what differs from european release, but i guess this is of interest for some ppl anyway.
Sweet.
I just got the update notice. It 40mb but my battery too low.

Hm, updated and all. My gmail widget is still crawling though.
No notable difference other than sense seem a tad snappier at first glance.

Yeah, but im on ARHD 3.1.0 already.

Do we have for the update change log?

It's done.
Much smoother but not much else to report. Maybe a little hotter.
Just updated. SG 1.26.707.4 to 1.28.707.10; radio also updated to 1.1204.103.14.
First check the radio signal seems to be stronger. Where I sit daily it's normally very week, 1 asu. Now it's constantly 7 asu. Will have check the level when I go outside.
The distortion one gets when deliberately returning the pull-down menu slowly is also gone. The fix is they don't make the status bar transparent when it returns; it stays solid black until one lets go. It then turns transparent grey. It's just a work around.
Some beats profiles are gone as the European version. I presume the click-click or skip-a-beat annoyance was the reason.
Still no sign for release in Hong Kong.

Same here, in Viet Nam.
nothing in vietnam
Downloaded and updated - vietnam
Edit: i noticed that they did not remove most of the sound enhancer options, they're all there (bass boost , treple boost...etc) and also beats profile. The phone feels smoother and the browser the butter smooth. Camera's focus is much better, bad compression is still there. I'm not so sure about battery life though. Also the Live wallpaper bug is not fixed.

So what's your battery like after the 1.2.8 update?
Haven't seen much talk on this? Has it improved?
Personally, as I have a network branded handset, I am waiting for LeeDroid to update the ROM, so haven't been able to test it out personally.
I had the HOX on 1.27 for only two days and updated yesterday afternoon therefore I cannot be objective as the update coincides with the battery also breaking in... But I like to beleieve it is improving

Hey guys,
I've recently discovered a loop hole in the Sense 4 lockscreen on the One X. It would be greatly appreciated if you bring awareness to this issue. Unfortunately, since this is my first post, I am unable to include any links to the YouTube video I have made. Hopefully I can post it as a reply to this thread because its very interesting.
I think I'm the only one that knows about this. So please comment if you have this issue too.
I'm guessing you mean where you can get the ICS entry screen on the security lock?

No, but if your the guy that left a comment on the Engadget post about HTC and left a link to your video too than its your video I've seen.
I wouldn't call it a bug, as it doesn't affect the system in a negative way, in fact I think it looks better then the Sense overlay they added.

Haha small world! I have the Galaxy Nexus and it was my brothers One X. He always tells me to find a way to disable Sense or find a ROM that uses the Stock ICS. He believes that native ICS on the One X would be the best.
I'm loving my Galaxy Nexus, can't wait to get my hands on the Galaxy S 3 and so excited to see what the next Nexus would be like.
It kinda sucks that I can't post the YouTube link here though.

Hey dude, I'm the guy with the funny voice talking about the glitch with the HTC Sense, I've been looking for a Custom ROM which runs on the Vanilla ICS for the One X but I have been unlucky
If you ever come across any good build Custom ROMS please do let me know.
Cheers, and do pass the link around, perhaps someone would know how to bypass the HTC Sense without having to complete it replacing it

Until you get enough posts to include links, you can always get around that by putting spaces in the URL, which people can then remove.

I was going to get the Nexus, but then the One X sorta got dragged into the equation and it was purely because of the displays that I went for the One X. I probably would have gone for the One S were it non-pentile. I don't care what you say, the One X is pure gorgeous compared to the S3

I'd do a search for you, but I'm using my phone at the moment not a computer and I'm extremely busy. If you browse the development section of the One X forums I know for a fact there is a One X Vanilla ROM. Don't bother searching, just go OneX>Development and browse around those top threads, plenty of other ROM's there too. It'll likely be on page 1 or 2.

Yeah I personally didn't like the design of the Galaxy S 3, the One X does look sexy but ever since my Sensation XE I've lost interest in HTC Sense. The Galaxy S 3 interface intrigues me although I hate Touchwiz. Well, I wouldn't mind giving it a try by the time the next Nexus comes out

I agree, Sense 3 was too heavy, Sense 3.5 was a fail and despite being created in tandem with Sense 4, Sense 3.6 really doesn't improve much.
Sense 4, different story. Still unstable, but give it a few months
Samsung's are only fast because they have **** software on then, that's an opinion not a fact. Touchwiz offers NO functionality more than the Stock Vanilla launcher, so why bother?
S3 + Vanilla hits the spot, but so does the One X

The one thing I long for on my phone is the time when the phone is locked. Old devices used to do it, like old Nokia's and the Lumia Symbian devices
For me, Sense improves the overall experience. I see Sense as an OS. Really it is Sense featuring Android, not Android featuring Sense, but that just shows how dedicated to improving and innovating software HTC are, now optimization is the key!
Phones need something like Windows Update, exploits and problems are found all the time, but fixes are never rolled out individually unless they are extremely crucial.

Thanks for pointing the space technique out bro, I was aware of it but could be bothered spacing it as jaaystott has already provided the link.lol
I've noticed a lot bugs mostly with the stock browser which I hardly use (mostly using Chrome), and I think HTC should invest a little more time on it as it's their flag-ship, but I'm also disappointed with how the One S beats the One X in all benchmarks. tsk tsk tsk....
Hopefully a well built ROM (Vanilla ICS) will come along and will get rid of all the heavy stuff in HTC Sense and will give a bit of an extra boost performance wise.

Yep
Same issue here, european rom 1,29 xxxx and it2s stopping. Also I tried that live wallpaper on the video but same result
It's sense that is causing the problem if you install another launcher live wallpapers run without issue.

I agree its not stopping!!
how it is that its stopping now, unless there is some setting by which HTC messed up and its slipped its quality control, I am more inclined to return my handset and go for Samsung!!
Funny thing is I shifted from SGS 2 , I was not at all liking Touchwiz and was coming from Hero, i must say I WAS admirer of htc for their quality and sense, But now I am so much disappointed
HTC are without a doubt aware of this so called "problem". Don't you think that if it's still present after three updates, it's classified as a minor defect? Who knows what was affected in the pre-release software that was at MWC and could be solved by turning off tha LWP animation? If any company waits to have a bug-free software before they release it, they will never release anything. The only bug-free app I have seen so far is 'hello world'

Who said that new phone must be bug free? Of course there are some bugs.
But as far as I can say, this phone beats my previous phone 10-0. Galaxy S was real pain in the ass. Kies updates, wlan, GPS. All those was driving me nuts. Now with One X, everything is like kiss to my cheek. Ota, wlan, GPS, call quality, speed, everything is better. So, that live wallpaper problem is not my biggest consern.
No more Samsung. At all. Not even a tv.

Many AT&T one x owners say that live wallpaper work seemlessly on theirs, please if you have at&T confirm this¬¬!!
Any way on the same note, I have checked out SGS III is store, and to my amazement live wallpaper do not interact with touch, unless I am missing some settings!!, but I used sgs II, so pretty much familiar to TW, any new oweners of SGS III can you pls confirm this!!

There are minor differences. Im on 4.5 right now and while the differences arent much i do enjoy it. Im happy the arrows for instance are not on htc's stock keyboard anymore . what else mhmm. Camera, when you tap the screen to autofocus a picture will automatically be taken once the camera is sharp and focused.. imo browser got improved.. just a few touches here and there, not something to be impatient over though.
