Does anyone know how to get ridd of some anoying "commersial" on my phone?
I get a green plus sign on the top left corner on the status bar..
Battery upgrade and so on..
Dont know what software i have installed that are doing this.. Please help :-D

Install AirPush Detector, with this app you can see which app causes the spam so you can delete that app.

Is this part of froyo or something, because when i had 2.1 and went to my contacts i would see green bubbles with numbers shwowing me the people updated their facebook, now after froyo 2.2 theres nothing, what happened?

yeah, in the people app, it would show little notification things, and i think i just learned it was a facebook update problem, and now theres a new one, but i dont know how to install it, any help?
Hi Guys,
I get a notification with a star icon next to it with the wording "you may have a virus"
if i drop down the menu bar and click on it it takes me to a website a that ask me to download something.
Back button doesn't work on it and only the Home button make it gone.
Id this a virus? or some sticky up try to sell me whatever?
Could be something from TMO preloaded apps?
BTW im running darkside v5

His is definitely an app that's causing this. I was having he same issue with a live wallpaper I download from the market. Deleted it right away.

Its called an air push ad......just use a app like air push detector to locate the malice app and remove it.

ok so my wifes HOX got a push software update and now this icon is in the top right corner of the notifications bar near the battery signal and all that and i cannot figure out what it is. i have been through the list of apps (all catagories) and cannot find any app that has an icon remotely similar.
can anyone assist me please?

in settings its a tab called more...(just under bluetooth) i have swedish system so dunno, in there you have NFC you can disable

A word of advice just in case you are gonna flash any of the roms or follow any of the guides on here, Don't
head over to the at&t one x forums as everything in this section is for the international tegra 3 one x and will cause you problems if you use it :fingers-crossed:

SETTINGS>MORE> untick th NFC option and it will be disabled

Pull down your notification bar and you should see it listed?
Simply long press on the app and hopefully it'll show an option "App Info".
You can then uninstall it.

Finally got the wife to move over from the dark side, iPhone, to Android! It's the little things in life... Anyways, of course she wants it all pretty like the iPhone, so I've been trying to help her customize it pretty good. In the stock messaging app, you can change the theme. But, is there any way to change the color of the bar at the very top that says "Messages"? It stays blue!

I believe not yet . . I know there's a lot of people requesting the option to change the colours to their own but nothing yet . . I'm sure rooting would allow it some way but I've yet to take the plunge of rooting my M8

Thanks for the responses. Now we're having issues with the TV app. I was able to set mine up just fine. On hers, when she get to the screen where it asks for your favorite TV shows, then hits next, we get an error message... Something about not being able to retrieve the data from the server.. I've tried everything.. uninstalling the update, which just updates when you open the app, clearing the app data/cache, etc. Any ideas on this one?
