I had issues trying to get to the bootloader unlocking tutorial. I kept trying and finally it let me through. They must be having technical difficulties!

No problem with mine.just unlocked last night
I had the same issue. You can try logging out and logging in from the first page on htcdev.com, not from the page to unlock.
I can't log in either. set up account but then can't log in.
i got as far as the token copy pasting and it took about 10 tries for HTC to accept my token, so they are probably having a lot of problems. ;p
Having the same problem Grrrrrrr...
HTC Dev Site
Issue still not fix! sigh. I wonder if HTC peeps are doing something about it? I have tried all suggestions above but none worked.
Has nothing to do with it .
For those that used a specific email or username prior on the site they require you to use a unused email address everything u unlock a bootloader can't use same email

both the response register and login actions was redirected back to the referer page.

Here goes the story
I have an HD7 from Bell Mobility and unlocked as soon as i got it with chevron unlocker. Updated officially to pre-NoDo with phone still unlocked as usual.
Then just about a week ago i got impatient and flashed my phone with custom NoDo rom which was working fine without any issue.
After reading alot about the possibility of still having an unlocked (with work aound)phone after Updating through Zune. I decided to flash back the original rom from Bell (7004).
Issue is after flashing, i tried unlocking using chevron unlocker but it does not work and i get this error message (attached).
I have tried all the trouble shooting i can find here and through googling still same error message
Anyone have this problem and what is the solution to getting my phone unlocked again.
thanks

Did you also switch your phone off and back on and then try to unlock? My experience is that certificates only work after restarting the phone.

I've came across this error little while back as I tend flash back and forth, was at a loss until I did the following:
Navigate to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ then open hosts with notepad and delete any references to windowsphone developer services
Note: as it's system file you may need to take ownership otherwise you will not be able to edit it!
hope this helps you!

Yes, AAHK is retired. You can try to SIM unlock manually, but it's only recommended for advanced users. Manual instructions are on the AAHK website.

Unlocking the bootloader isn't going to SIM unlock the phone. Those are two different things. I mean this: http://tau.shadowchild.nl/attn1/?p=411.

yes thats the guide i was trying to follow but the first step was to get htcdev unlock then get root.
and thats where i got stuck, i have no idea on how to get root on 2.3.5
Ah, I see. Sorry, I'm not going to walk you through that entire procedure. I've never done it before. Bootloader unlock, recovery flash, and root flash are covered here on the forums if you search. If you can't figure that out I don't recommend that you try to continue; that procedure is for advanced users.

Is anyone having issues with the HTCDEV site? When I click the "Begin Unlock Bootloader" button, I get an SSL error in Firefox, and it will never load in IE. The SSL Error keeps popping up even after the exception.

I'm looking to flash TWRP and root this phone but I want to be able to fully restore the phone in case something goes wrong. Are there any RUU files I can use to restore the phone?

I just tried Chrome before I saw your post, and it's doing the same thing as Firefox :/.
Guess, I'll try rebooting? sure why not that solves everything on windows.
*edit*
Yea... no rebooting didn't help.... who woulda thunk it.
*edit EDIT*
Seems like it might be working on my linux box...

Works find on my linux box... I guess you can just get a bootable version of linux and do it.

Not yet, official ruu will not be posted until T-Mobile pushes an update and no T-Mobile users have posted system image backup yet.
What you should do is produce your own system backup before modifying your device following the instructions in the twrp thread. Then you can even share that backup with the community so that others may benefit.

Try submitting your token in different browsers. Many users are reporting issues when using IE or Firefox.

Interesting... What version of Chrome? SSL has been getting patched left and right and it's been stupid.
The first time I did it didn't work with the unlock.bin they gave me. After I couldn't login to the website for the longest time. Decided to clear browser cache and reboot the computer and then I could log in. The unlock worked the second time. All in all probably took me about an hour to hour and a half to get it sorted out
I recently got my friends OnePlus 3 but he couldn't remember pattern so I resetted via stock recovery, however, it needed google verification. I tried all the things on YouTube as well as upgrading to oxygen os 9.0.5 via sideload, it still didn't work
Booting in fastboot is useless because I can't go into the phone to enable unlock bootloader
Do you guys have any more ideas for how to unlock ?
FRP is also called theft protection, and the whole point of it is that if it gets stolen with a Google account configured in accounts when doing a factory reset, only that account can be used to unlock it. That's why it's so important for previous owner to remove his Google account before factory resetting it and selling/handing it over to you.
So the solution is simple, just let your friend configure it again using his Google account, then remove it under accounts before factory resetting and then you can enter your account to take ownership of the device.

I already found a solution to this already. About letting me friend configure, he permanent moved to another country already, thanks for the advice though.
So what I did was to use once again ADB sideload to roll back to earliest oxygen I could get (android 8.00) which enabled me to exploit through talkback into chrome and settings and so on, which I couldn't do on Android pie.
