I updated to 4.0.4 about a month ago, however today I was alerted about another 4.0.4 update.. I just update and haven't noticed anything different yet. Has anyone received it yet?

I don't know what carrier you are on but I got the 4.0.3 update a couple of days ago.
So I just bought a new unlocked Samsung galaxy nexus yesterday and well it shipped with 4.0.1 then quickly updated to 4.0.2 . But won't continue to update to 4.0.4 .. well is there a noticeable difference in the two? And how do I go about updating

We all know by now that the GSM Galaxy Nexus has gotten its delicious Jelly Bean update. But what about us that bought a CDMA variant. I got the feeling that we will be getting it around the same time the GSM devices get Key Lime Pie. Correct me I'm wrong and I hope someone has some good news.

When Sprint/Verizon announce it is when the update will come. I figured a member since 2008 would have figured that out by now.
When it's ready (D-Wade voice).

I've heard worse questions. Give the guy a break.
Hopefully not long as the 4.0.4 update.

Well the 4.0.4 update was small and took what like 2 months to release? 4.1 is a lot bigger update. It pains me to think about an official verizon release time frame.
Well I'm on Sprint and past experiences have shown they push updates pretty quickly. But isn't google in charge of pushing updates to the nexus devices?

No, Sprint and Verizon have to test and approve them before they push them. Google doesn't do it.
Isn't the Verizon version on the developers Site now. They say it's still experimental but at least Google is doing something.

I heard by Christmas for verizon. I hope that is wrong but will probably just go with a custom rom and not wait.

There are some threads suggesting Samsung have pulled 4.1.2 .... three released the update a few weeks ago (before unlocked I have to add !) There are some issues with battery draining

Im definately considering going back to 4.1.1, battery life is terrible on my handset that I fashed a stock 4.1.2 rom onto in comparison to what it was like before.
Unbranded and unlocked GN2 on Three here, which is still on 4.1.1. I have checked daily for 4.1.2 to no avail.

Same here, on three and unlocked no 4.1.2 even through kies. I'm personally not to fussed as the phone is awesome and does everything and some that I need from a phone in its current state.

There is a 4.1.2 branded 3 rom on samfirmware.. did you all miss my picture... its branded yeah it has a 3 boot animation and 3 three apps you can uninstall

Ordered from Amazon. Just curious what version of android it comes with, so I can prep some files I need.
Thanks.

If replying, please state how long you have had your S3.

Had my s3 leaa than 8 hours. Came from best buy with 4.1.1 on it out of the box.
My Galaxy S3 came with 4.1.1, ordered from AT&T about a month ago.
Mine had 4.1.1 and I thought it ran smooth as butter until the screen started flickering. Found out it was a known issue with the AT&T update. Rooting and flashing a new ROM fixed that problem.

Oh, I think he meant 4.1.2, with a custom ROM. Mine came with ICS (4.04?) Currently on 4.2.2 (CM10.1)
The day I got my S3 it was 4.04(ICS)
It was the first day the S3 was released in Vancouver. My lunchbreak at work consisted of me calling Telus, Rogers, and finally Bell for a 32GB model.
Bell was the only one who had three left when I had called.
AT&T from Walmart
My S3 was bought early June from Walmart and mfg 5/23/2013 according to Samsung. Came with 4.1.1
I got my brother a SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 a week ago and it is ICS 4.04
I can't wait till he lets me root it but until then it will be ICS

He can update it to 4.1.1 through kies. He should do that first or run into bootloader issues when flashing custom roms.
