Yes its compatible with Arc S and should be working with other phones aswell.

Yes, I'm using it as such. I also tried it with numerous other SE phones, never had any issue.

^Thanks for quick response. I'm planning to buy one and made a research on it. Phonearena said that I should check the compatibility first before buying one because other phones might not work with it.

[Q] No love for Neo?

Why is there no separate forum for the Xperia Neo?
The news about SE unlocking the Xperia bootloader is great, and I'm eagerly awaiting the launch of the Xperia Neo here. However, I'm surprised at the absence of a forum for the Neo.
Is there any reason for that? And how easy would it be to port a custom ROM, originally written for the Arc, to the Neo? (Seeing that the Arc would be a much more popular device with people).

I think it'd be better if we got a forum for the Arc and Neo together. The only hardware difference is the display (which shouldn't matter for development etc) and the front-facing camera anyway...
Yeah I'd like a forum for Neo as well... Though, software wise the Arc and Neo are pretty much the same, but I gotta say I like the Neo more because of its smaller size and it fits better in the palm of your hand.
Wouldn't trade my Neo for an Arc... =)
I might be wrong here guys and girl's but hasn't the Neo been pushed back till closer to June?
As with the whole having to source an entire new manufacturing facility things are running tight.

Yep, June now.
Even SE don't have any Neos to hand, let alone enough to start selling them.
thats so sad...
i really wanted a neo, but now im thinking of desire s maybe.. tho the camera sucks on it.. and the bootloader is locked, so far.
dunno what to do
please i beg u guys if u could make a seperate forum for sony ericsson xperia neo
Include me in too. Still trying to find a generic rom for my neo. Bought it in China and is full of crapware and no google apps

Can you use the Arc ROM on the Neo without having problems?
The original one not.
It has to be ported to the Neo.

[Q] Would this be useful at all to us?

http://www.google.com/products/cata...a=X&ei=R7nuTe3OO4nGsAOBsuz_Bg&ved=0CEYQ8wIwAQ
It would fit, obviously, but would there be any possiblity of using this for doing video out or screen mirroring or anything?
It sure would be cool to be able to play HD video recorded on the phone, on your HDTV at home. The thing is, I don't think the MT4G has the ability to output video through the micro USB. If I'm wrong, that'd be awesome though.
It says Galaxy S. Samsung wired their microUSBs to be able to do this. HTC did not.

They changed it. Yesterday they mentioned several HTC models, that's the OP thought it was relevant to us.

To be honest I didn't really know anything about these cables. I was just wondering if our phones were capable of using these to any capacity.

It's only $9 if someone wants to experiment.

[Q] New phone to buy?

So I've got the chance to sell my Play and to buy a new phone, is it worth?
I can only buy phones up to 300€, I'm thinking about an Arc S but then going from outdated to outdated isn't that good plus I can't use touchscreen gaming controls... There's also Nexus S has an option but I think the Arc S camera and design is the most appealing thing for me. What do you think?
Galaxy Nexus?
Edit: Look Here: http://www.grandemarca.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=152_153&product_id=28029
Already ordered from that website, you can trust it.

That's the one I'd like most but it costs way more and I'm really on low budget
Edit: that isn't too expensive, can I really trust it? You're keeping your Play right? We need your awesome developments in here!

Yeah I'll never sell my play, I ordered a Akai turntable from there, arrived home 2 days after!
If the Xplay hadn't existed, or I had enough moneyto have two phones, I'd buy a Galaxy Nexus, especially because it's the lastest official phone from Google and it's the first one to get Jelly Bean, the best mobile os ever.
If you are really poor, just consider buying a Huawei one, I've heard they are cheap.

I'm not "really poor" and I'm happy with XPlay but I wanted a phone with more updated software and specs and since I bought Play this year it's hard for me to buy another phone.

[solved] Replacement/interchangeable batteries for Xperia S - sp50kera10

Local shops don't stock replacement batteries for the Xperia S (battery model sp50kera10 ) since it's not user-replaceable.
I saw some vendors online, but I'm wondering if this battery is interchangeable with any other phone models. If this is the case, it might be easier to get a replacement locally.
Would anyone out there happen to know?
Update: Suggestion to get an Xperia V battery (Sony BA800) is spot-on-- everything works great! Thanks all!

Sony root toolkit out there for this phone?

I've seen these root toolkits for other types of Sony devices in the past. Does anyone know if such toolkit exists for the Xperia XA1 Ultra? More specifically for the G3223 US model.

Been looking as well and I've seen nothing. This device isn't even listed on twrps site for supported Devices. Hope you didn't buy it with the intention of being a flashaholic, be sure and be careful where you post some of these ****ers are pretty rude

I'm on the fence about buying this phone. All I really want is root so I can block ads and have additional system control. Ordered a Nokia 6 off Amazon and it arrives tmw. Going to see how I like it and return it if I don't.
