I need few confirmations and ask few questions here before i will flash to ARHD 3.0.
What i already did:
1) Unlock bootloader from HTCdev site
2) Install CWM Recovery and create Nandroid Backup
3) Because i wanted to apply OTA update i flashed the stock Recovery back
4) Applied the OTA update
5) Flashed CWM Recovery and made Nandroid Backup
So now i want to install ARHD 3.0 on my One X and from what i learned i should do the following:
1a) Download Firmware Package to virtual SDcard from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551581
Question: My CID is now NONE because i unlocked the phone. Can i find out what was my CID before?
1b) Download ARHD 3.0 ROM ~541MB and store it on virtual SD card
1c) Download Boot.img to my pc
1d) Download Super wipe script to virtual SDcard
2) Flash with CWM "Firmware from 1.28.401.9 RUU" downloaded from the step 1a)
Question: I assume there should be some new visible option for flashing PJ46IMG.zip in the Bootloader? Or i should use CWM and choose the "choose zip from sdcard" ?
Question: Nandroid backup needed now?
3) Flash boot.img via fastboot command in PC
4) Flash Super wipe script with "choose zip from sdcard" in CWM
5) Flash ARHD 3.0 with "choose zip from sdcard" in CWM
6) Do a Nandroid Backup
7) Reboot device
So is this the valid guide on how i should proceed ? Help a noob please.
Thank you!
After contacting guys on IRC i fixed the required steps (thanks broncogr):
1) Download ARHD 3.0 ROM ~541MB and store it on virtual SD card
2) Download Boot.img to my pc
3) Flash boot.img via fastboot command in PC
5) Flash ARHD 3.0 with "choose zip from sdcard" in CWM
6) Do a Nandroid Backup
7) Reboot device

Hi all,
Today i was trying to flash the radio for my HTC wildfire
version: 13.55.55.2424H_3.35.20.10 (same as the one on my phone now)
What i have done:
1-renamed the radio to update.zip and put it on SD root
2- booted in recovery mode (CWM 4.0.1)
3- chosen install zip from sd card
but i got this message:
Installing update..
Amend scripting ( update.script) is no longer supported.
( some sentences including CWM 3 and ginger bread) don't remember them exactly
Installation aborted.
I rebooted phone and thanks to God it's working OK, communications OK.
What i have done wrong?
help will be appreciated
thanks in advance.
It needs Clockworkmod Recovery 2.x. So, you can get that from within ROM Manager App.
- Open ROM Manager
- Select Install Clockworkmod Recovery
- This will install v2.5.0.7 on your SDCard (It wont touch your v4.x)
- Then select Reboot into Recovery from within ROM Manager.
- This will start Clockworkmod 2.6.0.7, then flash the radio as normal.
Alternatively, get this attachment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=662193&d=1311319218
Flash in in Clockworkmod 4.0.1, it will give you temporary 2.5.0.7, then proceed as normal.
Thanks a lot 3xeno
i have done the first on and it worked
but
when i installed the updat.zip
some lines was showed but it was very quick i couldn't read them
but the process took about 5 seconds or maybe less
is that normal??
how can i know that i have flashed the radio succefuly?
the phone is working OK.
Yes, its normal. When you follow the second procedure, it gives you temporary 2.5.0.7.
I hope you followed only one of the procedures though. (Either go via the ROM Manager App way, or go via the update1.zip way, not both)
When you flash a Radio, it says "The Radio will install on Reboot". Then, you select "Reboot System Now" in Clockworkmod, and it will reboot your phone, and it will state "Writing Radio Image". This process takes some time, after which your phone reboots again and starts normally. When this happens, you can be sure you have reflashed the radio properly.
i followed the first
i have reeboted into CWM 2.5 ( green color)
then i flash the update.zip by install zip from sd card
it shows quick lines
and i don't see this "The Radio will install on Reboot"
the back to recovery menu
i choose reboot system now
the phone reboot as normal without this "Writing Radio Image"
any thing am missing?
Don't flash the update.zip in Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 (Green Text). The update.zip is an alternative to be flashed in Clockworkmod 3.x/4.x (Orange text) which will reboot your system in Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7. (ie - It is to be used only if you didn't use the ROM Manager method. Since you have installed Clockworkmod 2.5 using ROM Manager, you can delete the update.zip, you no longer need it)
Once you get to Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7, Flash the Radio's Zip using the same procedure. (Install Zip from SDCard > Select Radio Zip file). To reiterate, theres no need for update.zip once you are in Clockworkmod 2.5
Thanks a million 3xeno
flashed the radio Successfully
what i was doing wrong that i have renamed the radio zip file to update.zip
method that i have done for anybody hwo wants to do that (thanks to 3xeno):
1- put the radio file as it is on SD root (don't change the name of zip file)
2- go to rom manger and choose flash clockworkmod recovery
3- from rom manger choose reboot into recovery
(will reboot in CWM 2.5) green text
4- choose install zip from sd card
5- press go back (back button won't work) go to the bottom of menu and you will find the ++back++
6- choose reboot system now and wait til it finish.
I don't think changing of filename from radio.zip to update.zip will affect installation of radio (as long as you haven't extracted the zip).
But what happened is (I guess) ---
You are changing the radio.zip to update.zip and kept it at the root of sdcard. Then if you open Rom manager and flash recovery, the update.zip related to radio will be overwritten by cwm2.x update.zip . And vice versa if you have flashed Rom manager cwm2.x first and then copied radio update.zip to root of sdcard.
So basically one of the needed things are missing ( = being overwritten) which interfere with the process. Anyway nice that you made it.

Can some one suggest me where download and how installa the stock rom for wildfire.
Now I use a cynogen 7 and i want go back to original froyo + sense
There are 3 primary ways to do that:
1) If you had taken a Nandroid Backup before installing CM7, Just restore that. (But I am assuming you didn't, hence you are asking this)
2) If you want to retain root and Clockworkmod Recovery, just flash this ROM. Its Stock Froyo + Sense:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877977
The process to install that is as follows:
- Download this attachment and place on your SDCard:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=662193&d=1311319218
- Flash in Clockworkmod 3.x or higher. This will give you temporary Clockworkmod 2.5 (Green Text)
- Then, perform a Data Wipe, and install the ROM Zip file as normal.
3) If you dont want to retain root and Clockworkmod
- Download the Froyo RUU from Shipped ROMs (Froyo WWE 2.22.405.1 EXE) from Shipped ROMs:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Buzz
- Connect Wildfire to the PC, and simply run it.
Hi, I'm back
Just 2 questions
I downloaded both files
i copied both files on sd then i started rom manager and tapped on first field to
Flask clockwork mod recovery
Then? what i have to do to revert to Clockworkmod 2.5?
i downloaded this file from the link Safe_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Rooted
is it true?

I can't understand what you mean by your first question at all. Clockworkmod Recovery flashed via ROM Manager is temporary. Your original Clockworkmod will remain untouched. So if you are using the option called Flash Clockworkmod Recovery in ROM Manager, then the next step is to select Reboot into Recovery from the ROM Manager App again, then flash the ROM File. In this case, you can discard the update1.zip file, as it has no significance.
As for your second question, mirrors of the EXE RUU can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275680
My first question is simple
on my phone i have rom manager and there is a row named "Flask clockwork mod recovery"
but
i don't know how go back from cynogen to stock rom using clockwork mod recovery
can you help me step by step?
and the stock [with no root] rom for wildfire with froyo is this one?
RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Radio_13.55.55.2 4H_3.35.20.10_release_160191_signed.exe (This RUU contains HBoot 1.01.0001)
i need only to connect the phone to pc and run the exe?
First, decide what you want to do - Flash the EXE RUU, or Flash the Safe Flash ZIP File. If you decide to flash the Safe ZIP file, you will keep Clockworkmod Recovery, which will allow you to flash stuff later. If you select the EXE RUU, Clockworkmod Recovery will be removed, so you will NOT be able to flash anything, like ROMs, Kernels etc.
Once you have decided, here are the steps:
1) If you decide to install the Safe Flash ZIP File
- Download the Safe Flash ZIP from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877977
Rooted / Unrooted, Its upto you which version you want. Rooted version has Superuser, so you can run apps like Titanium Backup etc. Unrooted doesnt have Superuser, so you cant run root apps.
- Place this file on your SDCard
- Now, open ROM Manager
- Select Flash Clockworkmod Recovery. Then make sure you select 2.5.0.7. NOT a version beginning with 3.x, 4.x or 5.x
- Once it is installed, in ROM Manager, the next option will be 'reboot into recovery'. Select that
- Once you select that, then you will be taken to Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 (Which has all its options in Green coloured Text). Here, select "Wipe Data / Factory Reset". This step will erase all data on your phone (Not on your SDcard, Just your phone data. This step is essential when changing ROMs)
- Lastly, select "Install Zip from SDCard", and then, select the ZIP file you placed on your card at the beginning of this step. Let it install. Once installed, Select "Reboot System Now", and let the phone reboot. Done
2) If you decide to run the EXE RUU
- Its pretty much 1 step. Connect the phone to your PC and run the EXE File. It will automatically perform the install. If you get an Error 131 - Customer ID Error, you will need to create a Goldcard. There's a guide for that here:
http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/

Flash this zip file in CWM3: (Install Zip from SDCard > Choose Zip from SDCard. (Don't select the "Apply update.zip option)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=662193&d=1311319218
It will give you temporary 2.5.0.7, then you can flash the ROM. (It is temporary, so, everytime you want CWM 2.5.0.7, you will have to flash this Zip file)
Hi
If your are with the stock rom 1.26.401.2 (all the files updated by this OTA must be not deleted and/or updated to another version), rooted, with custom recovery you can apply this "custom" OTA (without the new hboot and the new recovery)
You will find in the zip 2 files. Extract it to your PC
1) copy Custom_Recovery_OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.9-1.26.401.2_release.zip to your sdcard
2) Reboot to recovery
3) apply the zip Custom_Recovery_OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.9-1.26.401.2_release.zip
4) reboot to fastboot (with the hardware keys)
5) "Fastboot flash boot" the boot.img extracted at the beginning)
6) reboot
http://www.2shared.com/file/Y_BBxLRv/OneX_128_Update_CWM.html
If you have loose root you can root it again
Sorry but there is no point in flashing this and not getting the new HBOOT and radio..
Also if your are on stock WWE Rom then just get the OTA...

Hey Guys I am currently running JRN84D MoDaCo custom Rom on my nexus how ever today I noticed an icon in the notification bar for System Update to 4.1 it says its downloaded and verified and ready to be installed.
What should I do?
i think u have to go back to stock image(rom) than update if u recive, this is update so is not going to wipe ur device
Do not accept the update when you're on a custom ROM.
It will not work.

I'm in the same situation,
My nexus is running JRN84D, with the CWM recovery, and rooted. The radio is I9250XXLF1. The OTA message keeps coming. I don't want to wipe to get on 4.1.1. What should I do?
1 - Flash the stock bootloader? where can i find it?
2 - Unroot? how?
3 - Flash another radio? which?
And try to apply the OTA or should I directly flash a 4.1.1 rom from CWM and just accept the wipe, in that case which rom do you recommend?
By the way, I got in 4.1 through this process: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28178320&postcount=2
Method 1: CWM 5.5.0.2 recovery already installed
1) Download takju JRN84D from here (this is Koush's repack) to your computer and rename (or delete) this file: /system/etc/install-recovery.sh. Use 7zip to do this, not WinZip or WinRar or whatever. This will prevent the ROM from overwriting CWM with the stock recovery. If you want to have the stock recovery so that future updates will install automatically, leave the ROM as is. (We all know that if you have CWM, you will have to install the update manually through CWM -- it will not install automatically, but it will install just the same, right? ) Note: Some users have reported that they could not flash the zip after deleting the install-recovery.sh file. If it doesn't flash for you after you deleted the file, just re-flash the unmodified zip.
2) Move the file to /sdcard on your phone.
3) Download the CWM-flashable version of the XXLF1 radio from here and the CWM-flashable version of the LC03 bootloader from here to /sdcard.
4) Backup your app data using Titanium Backup. Root is required for this step. Alternatively, if you do not have root, you could try using this, but no guarantees it will work.
5) Reboot your phone into CWM.
6) Select "wipe data/factory reset" and select "Yes -- delete all user data"
7) Select "wipe cache partition" and select "Yes - Wipe Cache"
8) Select "advanced" and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and select "Yes - Wipe Dalvik Cache"
9) Select "*****Go Back*****" to return to the main menu
10) Select "install zip from sdcard" and select "choose zip from sdcard" and navigate and select the bootloader file you downloaded, and flash it.
11) Select "install zip from sdcard" and select "choose zip from sdcard" and navigate and select the radio file you downloaded, and flash it.
12) Select "install zip from sdcard" and select "choose zip from sdcard" and navigate and select the JRN84D file you downloaded, and flash it.
13) Optional -- If you want root, flash one of the attachments the same way. (Either ChainsDD's Superuser or Chainfire's SuperSU.)
14) Go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now".
15) Done! Enjoy stock Jelly Bean 4.1

Checking device connection... device connected
preparing universal exploit... okay
rebooting to recovery... okay
waiting for device... okay
running universal exploit... okay
rebooting device... okay
waiting for device... okay
checking TEMP ROOT access... failed

any ideas?

Huh, you have CWM already installed that means you only need to flash Superuser or a custom rom.
1. download the zip file here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053
2. Put the ZIP file in your SD.
3. Reboot into CWM Recovery
4. Choose install from ZIP.
5. Find your zip file
6. Install it.
8. Reboot and your done!
Installing a custom rom :
1. Download a custom rom (1000 of Roms on XDA search the developer section)
2. Extract the boot.img
3. Save it somewhere
3. Place the zip file in tour SD
4. Reboot in CWM
5. Install the ROM in tour SD with Install from zip
6. Reboot in Bootloader
7. Open CMD and type in : /fastboot flash boot.img (Depends on where you have saved it, fort example if you saved it on C:/ type in /fastboot flash C:/boot.img)

have some trouble flashing the custom ROM. When I boot to bootloader, should I select fastboot and then connect to pc? because when i type /fastboot flash C:/boot.img i get this:
c:\>/fastboot flash C:/boot.img
'/fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
1.Unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery (CWM or 4ext)
2.Download the rom zip file you are willing to flash to your PC.
3.Extract the the boot.img from inside the zip file (do not extract the whole rom)
6.Put the zip file in your sdcard.
5.Boot into recovery and do a full wipe (wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, format system)
6.Flash rom (install zip from sdcard)
7.Reboot into bootloader again and plug the phone to the PC.
8.You need to be in fastboot usb (if you see HBOOT USB PLUG in the phone, just press power to toggle)
9.Open a cmd/terminal and navigate to where the boot.img file is located.
10.Type: fastboot flash boot boot.img
11.Reboot and now you should be enjoying your custom rom
