Hi,
just creating a wikipage for the Xoom tablet.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Motorola_Xoom
And the question is which license the posts in the xda-developers forum have.
Is it ok to copy the posts to the wiki?
Do I need to backlink them?

I think it's ok to cite a thread (a reputable thread). Provide a link and maybe the author's name (username).

Hi.
I'm interested in building Android from Google sources and dropping in one the custom kernels available.
Problem is, I can't find any tutorials (or at least any valid links) to guides of this sort.
Can anyone help?
Ben

Hello,
It looks like the "G2 Android Development (Verizon)" forum located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development-verizon has been renamed to "Verizon G2 Android Development" located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g2/development.
Problem for me is I cannot remove the old forum from my subscribed forums list. If I unsubscribe from it, it unsubscribes me from the new one when they are both present. If I am using the XDA Android app and I chose the old forum name, it will take me to the desktop site version of the new forum. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
This is one for the server admin I think.

I saw that. This is not a valid answer.
Hi,
Just came across a link to unlock bootloader and install custom ROM for Android Lollipop.
Was wondering is this is legit?
Here is the link - www[dot]unlock-bootloader[dot]info[slash]mp3-0[slash]amazon-fire-phone-6453[dot]html
Sorry about the cryptic format of the URL, I am still too new to the forum to post a link.
NO, it's a scam site. This topic has alredy been discussed here.
BUT check this great thread and follow it.

The internal components of the phone are there to work on mobile networks, it's the IMEIs are missing.
It's a blanket rule of XDA Devs to not talk about IMEI modification so I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. Google is all you need

Yep, if the IMEI is all 0's, there are definitely ways to put a working valid one on there
