The i9100 and i9100G are completely different phones; one has Exynos, the other has a TI-OMAP processor. There's no way you "changed" your i9100 to an i9100G. If you flashed an i9100G bootloader onto your i9100, I'm pretty sure that's ok. The only variant that I know of that's compatible with i9100 ROMs is the i9100T/i777 which are just the i9100 with NFC.
oh ok thnx but is there any rom similar to that i cud use on my i9100G ??

From what I gather, the i9100G doesn't have much support on XDA since it's a lesser owned model. If I were you I'd either get an i777 (AT&T Galaxy S II, which is basically an i9100T with 4 capacitive buttons), an i9100, or an i9100T.

No. You have to only use i9100G ROMS. You have a totally different phone.

are there roms similar to ics for i9100G
how to flash another bootloader and get i9100 bck????
Don't trust any websites or blogs or whatever crappy site giving roms. Xda alone is enough and trustworthy for long, long time already. U wont know if they repacked the rom with nasty spyware and such. Better to be safe than sorry.
stock phone.apk from i9100 to i9100g
Hello
Is there a way to use /system/app/Phone.apk from a stock i9100 (PDA: I9100XWLPT PHONE: I9100XXLQ6 CSC: I9100XEULPA) on a stock i9100g (PDA: I9100GXXLPY PHONE:I9100GXXLPV CSC: I9100GXEFLPY)? Maybe deodexing...
I am searching a way to fix the crashing of the phone proccess when the i9100g is docked and in landscape mode.
Thank you

No it can't because the i9100 has a totally different chipset. Don't try to flash it on the t mobile version.

Hi, i have this phone...
GT-N7100
Android: 4.1.5
Baseband: N7100ZCALH3
Kernel: 3.0.13-93991
Build: JRO03C.N7100ZCALH40
The GPS do not work and i want to install another rom.(i think it has something to do with the rom, its a china rom i think.)
Downloaded Odin Mobile and i get an error : A compatible device was detected but with an unexpected partition layout. Mobile odin cannot operate. This is a common error on CM and MIUI ROMs on some devices
I have never tried flashing a rom to a android phone before, and must say i am pretty "green"..
I really hope on some help
If you need additional info, i will provide anything you need... JUST want this phone to work 100%
Android 4.1.5?

I live in Shanghai and the last time I saw a Android 4.1.5 was on a fake Galaxy S3.
If it's a fake Note2 there's nothing XDA can do for you.

I want to flash firmware 4.2+ from 4.1.9 gt n7100 built cnanzhi Samsung made by Korea
I root with kingo because cannot enter dload mode. Then I install mobile Odin
And it says ..but with an expected partition layout. How I going to solve this
I think that in practice what you are trying to do is install a ROM that is made for SG Note 2 to your phone, that's not a Note 2... Hopefully it gave an error and it wasn't possible because if your phone did flash the ROM, I think that you would end up with a bricked China Note 2 instead of a working one
Mine is I think original Samsung Galaxy Note II or the least recond bcoz I checked at the back Samsung made in Korea assembled in china and comes with warranty. And FYI I would like to flash cwm ROM and flash 4.2+ like jellybean or kitkat sir but I just can't enter download mode but I didn't yet used adb download mode bcoz its very big to download man.half a gig.Thanksgiving

Hello everyone ,
I recently just got a Samsung Galaxy Ace II e, and was wondering if the same procedures/ROMs/etc apply to it as the normal Ace II (without the "e"). I wanted to root it and install custom ROMs as soon as possible, but I'm kinda worried about the extra "e" on the name. Hopefully I'm in the right device sub forum, otherwise a link to the right one would be nice . I'm no stranger to modding phones, so no need for any "newbie" comments, a straight forward answer would be appreciated . If any extra information is needed, just say so, and I'll try to provide it :good:
More details about the phone:
Samsung Galaxy Ace II e
Model #: SGH-T599V
Android Version: 4.1.2
Happy to be a new part of the Ace II community! Hope to hear from you guys soon
Lol never heard about an ace II e ?! Does anyone knows what is the difference between non e and e version?
I don't have an Ace II (without the "e"), so I can't really compare the two, hopefully someone who has one can take a look, and determine if I can go ahead with the Ace II's rooting procedures on my Ace II e. However, by looking at the specs on gsmarena, the Ace II seems to only have 800MHz dual core processor, while the "e" has 1GHz, and they have two different shapes (original has more of a squareish shape, while the e's sides are slightly rounded)
I installed CPU-Z and took screenshots to show more specifications:
Not bad specs. Like s advance with 3.8 '' screen. Can you find its chipset ?
Btw. I think you can root it with usual ace 2 method. But first check on which devblock is system partiton and report here

Could you please tell me how I can determine the chipset? I've tried Quadrant & CPU-z, but none of them seem to show that info. Plus, information about this device on the internet is scarce, gsmarena doesn't seem to have it in their catalog
Can I also get the procedure to find out the devblock?
I tried rooting the device using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2139263
but I get an invalid signature error when trying to flash the zip file - I've searched it up, and to avoid this error, I need to flash CWM - unfortunately, I couldn't find this device in their website either If someone has it (CWM for this device) , I'd really appreciate a link
BUMP xD

I've also tried installing the CWM package from the regular phone, but I still got the same signature error

Proudly presenting LGaljo kernel!
This is the first time I have built kernel only and worked in first try
It is a stock kernel built from Samsung sources, nothing is changed (yet).
It should work on cm12.1 rom for others I don't know.
As @aapav01 said this kernel should work on:
Code:
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 3G
Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 LTE
Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo (i9301i/i9300i)
Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
Downloads:
Download 1
Mirror 1
How to install:
DO BACKUP!
Flash the zip file trough CWM/TWRP recovery (tested through TWRP)
Changelog:
28. 5. 2015
Code:
-initial release
source: https://github.com/LGaljo/android_kernel_samsung_s3ve3g_LL
Sorry for not noticing that, but I have found that updater-script doesn't work. I will try to find out what is going on and then add links back (everything will be clear over this weekend). Sorry again

If you use twrp you can back up only boot.img so it's easier
It's working perfectly on CM12.1
Which feature have this kernel ?
For the one who wants to try if NFC work, this is older cm12 which still has NFC support:

is this for s3 neo i9300i kitkat 4.4.4 ?
Or cm 12.1 only ?
