[Q] Fast way to replace on-screen menu button with multitasking button?

I have a rooted HTC One X with Android Revolution HD 17.1 ROM (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603)
I think the -on screen- menu button takes up too much space, and would like to have it mapped to a the multitasking button. Is that possible? Is there an 'app' that can do that?

It is somewhere in arhd settings, I'm surprised is it isn't there.

[Q] SD Ultimate Final Edition Problem with all apps.

Hello,
The problem is that in all apps I have no acces to basic settings.
For example in a wheather app I can change from F degrees to C. Or in Titanium Backup i can change the folder where the backup should be stored because i can not even find the settings menu.
Is like I would have a dedicated button for settings like in Samsung.
Am I missing something ?

If the 3dot menu is hidden then those menu's are most of the time set under the recent apps soft touch button

What do you mean under the recent apps button ? On that button I have ... well recent apps.
Should I have choosen some option from aroma to have a settings burton instead of last apps ?

Don't know if the aroma of SD holds that option, but maybe its in settings itself somewhere, many times its set up like this :
short press recent apps button = options menu
long press recent apps button = recent apps menu
did you check out the sd thread ?

Short press is latest apps. It doesnt matter if in app or anywhere else. Long press is .. nothing.
I can not post in the thread, not enough post. And I have read the last pages and nobody reporter such problem. And there are a lot pages to read all de thread.

You have to go to phone settings then screen or so and then you can choose the the thing which opens when you use the recent apps button...short press menu and long is recent app and also reboot then after choosing it should work ...you also don't need to read the thread fully just try to use the search...

SwiftKey has TWO emoji buttons??

hey!
does anybody else have TWO emoji buttons in the bottom row? one on the left, between 123 and [space], and one on the far right, that sometimes changes to a Return arrow.
it's SUPER annoying. I keep hitting it instead of 123, and deleting stuff I accidentally wrote there is even more annoying because backspace is somewhere else than expected in the ****ing emoji tab.
driving me nuts. any ideas?
this only happens on this device. everything fine on my lg g4.
happens with Stock AND Cyanogenmod Nightly. which is awesome btw.

SwiftKey user here! But I don't have your issue. I changed the Emoji button to a long press of the enter button. Have you tried this? Deleting and installing again SwiftKey?
I'm a noob compared to the people here on xda, so what I'm writing is not guaranteed to work =p

how did you change that? it changes automatically for me, depending on the app I use, which is very annoying... I can't find a checkbox..?

In personalization (I think, I have it in Italian on my phone), check the "enter button" box, it has a short description under it that should be something like "long press for Emoji"

Volume Widget?

Is there a volume widget that works on the MTC ? Or is it possible to make a gesture to the Volume button in the status bar ? The hardware volume - button works after some time no more, when I run radio and navi .

Delete widgets from Shelf?

I just got my hands on the device and I love it. One problem I am finding is that I can not remove a widget from the Shelf. Is there any way to delete widgets from the shelf?

Google first before posting here.
Long press the widget and swipe it away to the side.

I've tried that, swiping right doesn't work for me.

This is a real issue, at least affecting google apps. Any advice would be appreciated.

Long press and then swipe.

Get another launcher.

Long press and swipe right is the method but...the trick is to swipe before the gray frame appears.
So:
1) long press andd keep pressed
2) swipe right just aftyer one sec.

Thanks! Everyone says swipe but the trick is waiting only one second before gray frame appears. Thank you for pointing that out..

Note: if you want to disable Shelf (like me). Just long Press on homescreen, you will see three buttons (Background, Widgets and Edit), select Edit and disable Shelf. Don't forget to Save settings by clicking on right top corner...
