I know there is a mod that can disable to annoying 3 dots on the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't work on the stock shipped rom with locked bootloader.
So here is the thing, is there any heavy games (eg. Gameloft & EA products) available which is compatible with the ICS? So that the 4.7 inch screen can be fully utilised?

So i installed JJ's Hybrid V2 Rom on my phone and all is going well.
But, when playing some games it crashes and i get quite a few graphical glitches (White squares on the screen).
Eg.
Swords and Soldiers - Does not load.
Smuggle Truck - White Squares
Toki Tori - Won't start (Stops responding)
Is this because of the Custom Rom / Kernel or just the phones limitation?
I unfortunately just got the phone and didn't play with it before putting a Custom Rom on.
What is the best ICS Rom that plays well with games? I want an ICS custom rom where its stable enough to use daily and can run all of the emulators and xperia play games fine (battlefield, nova, dead space, ect).
ICS++
Where can I get it for the Xperia Play??

Well it depends what type of ICS you are looking for. The best I would say would be the official Beta sony released a while ago!
here is the link: http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/...or-unlocked-xperia-play-smartphones-download/
But if don't like the Sony firmware interface and the loads of crap thats comes with it then I'd also say ICS++
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599906
But I have to say Atarii is no longer continuing with ICS++ he has GalaxyS3 and won't be around as frequent. So I'd say having said that you'd be better off with ROM that DEVS are working on ATM i.e.
1) Cyanogenmod 9 by Freexperia: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447542
Touchpad/gamepad and Gaming Optimisation: Medium (Emulators work still a work in progress) More stable with normal games
2) Official ICS port of Xperia ray: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1599269
Touchpad/gamepad and Gaming Optimisation: Good (Emulators work still a work in progress - New game launcher)
Well I was happy with GB 2.3.4 for gaming until I decided to play HAWX. No Gamepad support… then I found GAMEKEYBOARD. At that time there was no support for touchpads, only the game buttons. The only option was JOYSTICK CENTER, only available for ICS! I decided to try it, also willing to get a better user interface…
The first rom I tried was the official sony ICS Beta version, very stable, however it was slow for some high end games (TDKR for example). Some OLD games crashed such as Shadow Guardian and HAWX.
I installed the Pureless ICS afterwards, however the user interface and figures were a little bit too fancy for me…did not tried the performance
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1822118
Then I changed to Markphyton’s Stock ICS… great rom too. Stable and with nice user interface and widgets, such as menu when scrolling down the screen. 180 Mb RAM size… realy nice! But TDKR was still slow and the crashing game issue still happened for old games… When Wild blood came and even with overclock the game was lagging…I decided to change it back to GB!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854682
So… I went back to GB… this time NXT light… what a rom. The rom itself is only 80 Mb, so there is a lots of RAM free! Very stable. Some things I like about it:
- All games run lackless!
- The apps already installed are exactly what I needed (except the file explorer).
o The Music player (Clean Music) plays directories and even skips the song when pressing volume button longer!
o Quick Pic is fast and let me select multiple Pictures at same time
- Percent Battery icon is even better than Markphyton’s Stock ICS
- Menu when scrolling down the screen
- Camera works with buttons and FOCUS and TAKES the picture when pressing R button stead of only focusing like the Camera MOD app in googleplay.
- The cool old TV looking when screen turns off
So I also tried NXT2JB rom just for fun, but it came with so mane apps that I do not use that I went back to NXT light right away!
PS: Gamekeyboard NOW controls touchpads in xperia play... so I am finally happy!!!

Yeah, ICS ROMs are pretty sweet, but some games only work on GB and I'm not willing to part with them.

Have you tried any N64 emulators?
How do they run?
Also, is the interface smooth?
I am looking for a gaming rom tha is really really fast.
Thanks for your comments!!
Okey, I found out there are some games (most common gameloft games) that do not work on this phone, or they work but only with mods and some of them have lag issues.
I've made this thread so we can put the list on, and not be suprised when they try to download them from store, or they have weak performance.
So, can we get the list of the games that are incompatible with HOX or HOX+ ?
if you have some of these games then write them here
N.O.V.A. 3 - heavy lag
GTA 3 - laggy
Batman The Dark Knight Rises - laggy
Asphalt 7 - laggy
The Amazin Spiderman - bit laggy
Wild Blood - heavy lag
Mostly Gameloft games.
If somebody experienced same thing with different game, post it up.
GTA3 runs fine for me on CM10 with ncx's kernel and on my mate's HOX which is running ICS ARHD with stock kernel...
do you have rooted device? if you install a non-stock rom you won't have these lags! as i know, they're persistent only on the firsts ics roms

No, my phone is not rooted. I'm on JB though.
@Azurael
I know that, but on sense 4.1 is painful experience.. And I hate HTC for making only 8 apk to be multitasked.
Hello.
I'm an active Xperia lt15i user from the day it arrived in Poland.
I've tried around multiple roms, played a lot of games...
There are some issues with it, and I'd like to ask - is it only my phone, or all Arcs have these issues?
(I'm running P.A.C. 4.2.2 milestone 1, but I had the same problem when riding on stock GB, CM7, stock ICS, CM9, 4.1 AOKP, 4.1 Paranoid Android, CM10 and P.A.C 4.1 from an old thread. Most of them with Lupus up to v12 JB)
First - games like Splinter cell Conviction, Starfront: Collision or Assassin's creed Altair chronicles have graphical glitches that make games unplayable. Splinter Cell, for example, makes all textures (except characters) black. Starfront's hud is made from pink/red triangles and circles around minions change into big green squares that cover 50% of screen. Assassins creed simply works only in menu. After the loading screen I only see dialogue boxes. Rest is black.
Also, any emulator that has a "use OpenGL to render" does not work after using that function. Nds4droid (or whatever) simply does not render 3d after checking the option. N64oid and all other n64 emulators have black screen. Even if I check graphic enhancement in GBA emulator it makes the screen go black. (not the whole screen, just the game is not rendering)
I need to add that if I use "software" renderer 3d works, but at 5-8fps, as to be expected with software renderer.
Is that a hardware issue, or it is a common problem? I don't know, because I don't know anyone with a 2011 Xperia, especially Arc or Arc s. Is there a fix for that? Maybe crossfire for GB? (I did not try it)
---
Also, is there a rom for Arc that is based on Gingerbread, but has JB interface/paranoidandroid hybrid settings? I mostly ask because I'm running 4.2.2 and don't want to learn the old settings Ui again...
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
about a year ago I had Xperia Play R800i white color. I broke my touch screen so buy new one - orange color, newer model, but still R800i. And when I'm trying to play games that I played in past on my old Xplay like Modern Combat 2, Backstab, FIFA 12, Real Racing 2 etc. in Google Play it says it's incompatible with my device. If I download it myself from internet (cause I can't install them from Play Store even if I bought them in the past cause incompatibility) some of them work (Real Racing 2) but many of them still not - FIFA 12, Modern Combat 2. I'm using Gin2Kittkat 3.2.0 and .79 baseband, Lupus kernel v12 720p. Have someone the same problem? Especially games from Gameloft aren't compatible - mainly these which have even bee Xplay optimized. Newer games and games which are not optimized for XPlay i can run well.
This is so annoying - I should have backed up the compatible APKs for thoses apps. There are many apps which were compatible with our Play, but aren't anymore :
- Feedly,
- Evernote,
- Lara Croft Guardian of light,
- Sonic episode 2
- Super Monkey Ball (crash)
- Wayward Soul (crash)
- Galaxy on fire 2 (data cannot be downloaded anymore...)
If anyone could share the compatible APK of those apps (that I bought !), would be greatly appreciated !
Just type into Google search: name of the app + apk version history. Most of the apps can be downloaded on apk4fun, which is in most of cases the first link when you search for some old apk. There are plenty of apps which aren't compatible anymore. It's sad but Xperia play and Gingerbread are too much old. Subway surfers, Jetpack Joyride, Gangstar Vegas and many other games were compiled for 2.3 and runned well in the past. Onenote, feedly, Mapy.cz (I'm from Czech Republic and this is the best map for Europe), Es file Explorer and plenty others were compatible. Nowadays aren't. You have two choices: upgrade to at least Jellybean (last with gamepad support) or stick with the old apps version until death of your phone.
