Since I flashed the (AOKP) rom, I seem to be having a major issue of the clock not updating. Its done it several times to me now. I just woke up and the Lockscreen is showing 5:45 am and yet the clock in the notifcation bar is stuck on 11:57, it just stays at the time until I reboot the phone.
Anyone else having this issue?
Had that issues when I first flashed CM7 and CM9. Someone told me to download a app called Clocksync. I did and have it set to sync my clock once every hour with the atomic clock. Hasn't happened since.
Sent from my CM9 infused Epic.

My first post here.
I have received a DHD back from HTC Service after a camera module has been replaced for a new one (you probably know what I'm talking about They have installed a new software version with Gingerbread 2.3.3.
Since then I have noticed a rather strange behavior of HTC standard flipping clock widget that wasn't present on Froyo. When I restart the phone the widget works perfectly smooth for some time and flips as it should. Then, randomly after some hours/days right after unlocking the phone when the weather animation starts the flip of the clock is terribly glitchy. Then when I go to another screen and come back the flip is normal, but from then on it is always working badly after unlocking.
I thought that it is a memory managment issue, but I have found no connection so far between programs occupying the memory and an animation lag. The problem shows itself sometimes half an hour after restarting when there are almost no programs in memory as well as after two days of intense usage of different applications. I have switched off and on weather animation onscreen but it did not change anything.
Anyone of you had a similar experience after update? On Froyo the clock was working perfectly all of the time...
Hi all.
Having an issue with my EVO that I can't seem to figure out and was hoping that someone here might be able to help.
At (what seems to be random times) my phone will be 1 hour behind. It seems like it changes to Central Time (I'm Eastern) ... I'd say this has happened 5-7 times in the last month or so.
Just this morning my alarm went off ... I got up and when I left the house my phone said it was 9:20am... I stopped at the gas station and when I got back in the truck I noticed the clock on my dashboard said it was 10:20am.... I was like what the hell?
I looked at the phone again and it said it was 9:20am. So I touched the clock and it went into the clock settings. There it said I had two locations... Lexington, KY (time 10:20am) and Eastern Time (10:20am also) ... when I went back to the main screen it updated to 10:20am.
Usually when I have this issue it requires a reboot to fix.
I'm running Fresh EVO 4.2.0.0
Anyone have any ideas... I use this as my alarm and it's made me late to work several times now and I just can't have that.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
I had that problem with one rom I used, I forgot which one. But basically the htc clock widget was the problem, thinking you were in a different time zone. Remove that widget, and use another one. I prefer Simi Clock Widget
Hi.
Well I had hoped it was something this simple. I replaced the widget as suggested with the simi clock (which I actually like better... thanks) and I installed an alarm app to replace the alarms I was using via the stock widgit thing.
I am really thinking this is a Sprint issue now as I was going to lunch with a buddy of mine yesterday and he had the same issue at the same time. He asked me if my phone was an hour off and mine was. He then said whelp it is fixed, and mine flipped to the correct time. Then seconds later both of our changed back to being an hour behind.
Again this morning (and still now) it's an hour early... so my 8:30 am alarm just went off at 9:30am which reminded me to post up here again.
Any suggestions besides calling Sprint and banging my head against a stupid tech that doesn't believe me?
Thanks,
Brian
If you wanted to keep the original clock and settings theres an app on the market called Clocksync, it syncs to the atomic clock, works hella good.
fixes clock drfiting, especially if you have multiple clocks on every screen , like me.
works for root and stock users.
I downloaded clocksync today and set that up. Hopefully that solves the problem. I'll post up once I test for a few days.
Thanks,
Brian
MIne would do that also after I rooted it with unrevoked and was running the stock rom. It would tell me my location was somewhere in Russia with their time. Would have to go into settings and manually enter time zone instead of using network time. Then after a while (randomly) would swith back again and I would have to start over. Only did it though after I rooted. Not bare bone stock ruu.
Seems as if loading clock sync and using that instead of Sprint for time sync has fixed my problem.
My friend that was having the same issue also did this and it has fixed his problem also.
Thanks,
Brian
My wife's clock widget was doing that after one of the OTA updates last winter, then a later one seems to have fixed it.
Neither of us have the problem now as we've both rooted and gone to a gingerbread kernel that doesnt exibit the problem.
I had this problem for a while, found that my router was set to the wrong time zone and the phone would update from the router when it was connected to it and would not change back till it checked the Sprint network. Never figured out how to force it to check Sprint though. It was fixed with a small update from Sprint a little while back.
Hey there,
I'm having some rather odd clock issues with my phone. The time is "right" but not really. I use LauncherPro and WidgetLocker. I've never had any issues with these. However, WidgetLocker has its own clock widget. It works fine half the time. The other half of the time it is one hour behind my phone time. But that's not always right either.
For example, it's 9:30PM. The widget time will say 8:30PM. A few minutes pass, and the widget time is at least an hour behind sometimes a few minutes. The system bar shows 9:30PM as well, but then once I open the keyboard or rotate the phone, it will update to the current time, let's just say something like 9:37PM.
Both the apps listed are up to date, and I'm running CM 7.2.0 RC1.
Phone is rooted, I removed a few included APKs when I flashed the ROM. Is there a certain preinstalled APK that might have been affected by my removing it that updates the time, or does anyone know a fix?
Thanks!
I am currently running 13.09 jellybro on top of a56 trinity kernel and I am from time to time experiencing this issue in which my status bar clock timer just gets stuck at whatever time it is. In order to unfreeze it I usually go to settings -> date and time -> untick/tick the automatically update time option. The exact same thing was also happening on 04.09 Rasbean Jelly. Does anyone have a clue about what might cause this behavior?
No idea, used to freeze in aokp m5 too.

Hi,
I have a rooted I9195 and installed CM11 M9. After every reboot, date and time are set to 1.1.1970, 0:00 GMT. The date is corrected as soon as an connection to either internet or cell provider is established.
Has anyone, especially using XPrivacy (link), experienced this? What can be the reasons?
Also, the time shown is not updated in cLock widget, and also in the status bar on the top.
It's very annoying to have no correct time when no connection is possible...
Any ideas?
I had this issue with CM 11. Sometimes the lockscreen clock, clock widget and status bar clock could all have different times. Sometimes locking and unlocking a couple of times would make them match up again. There was no reason for it but it would work again without any issues one week and then not the next, never found a permanent fix though.

Well, you could try to set the time manually - worked for me for the last week(s)...
me too
unfortunately i also have no time after reboot:
three S4M devices
1st CM11 20140120 nightly
2nd CM11 snapshot M8
3rd CM11 snapshot M9
this is really annoying. is there any further info or a fix for this?
it doesn't matter if the time ist set manually or automatically.
always lost after reboot.
and if one has no data connection in automatic time mode, the time wont be right till a dataconnection is available.
all things happening till then get a wrong timestamp
