Quick question, if i had version of an app that worked well. and the google play store had a notification that told me to upgrade it to a version that would not work, how would one disable the update for that particular app
Delete marketupdater.apk in your /system/app I think or freeze it which ever floats your boat .

Use titanium backup and remove the market link.

or you can also uncheck the allow auto updates in the market by pressing menu > my apps> go to the particular app > uncheck the updates option

When I tried to use swype after restoring from titanium backup the swype keyboard is in the language and keyboard section but the option to turn it on is not there. Not sure how to fix this problem I tried to download the beta but it won't install because swype is already pre installed. I don't know what to do to get it working.

If swype was restored as a system app. I don't think system keyboards have the toggle to enable or disable, it should already be enabled. Have you already tried long pressing the select input type.

How do I prevent the Play store from restoring my apps after installing a new ROM? Annoying to use data when I can just restore from tibu. Thanks.

When you set up the phone for your Google account. There should be 2 options "restore from Google account" and "keep this divice backed up with Google account" unchecked the first option

Thanks much. I noticed that when I installed the rom but was unsure whether there was more to it then just restoring apps. Figured I would double check to be sure.

Hi, I got a question regarding the Popout Browser option. Before the update 4.1.2 I always could choose an option which browser/app I want to use if I clicked on the link. For example on twitter. If I click on a Instagram link it let me chose with what app I want to open it but now it always opens with the stock browser. Some how I can't find any option where I can modify it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

is it possible to disable push download from play store while 3g and wait till under wifi?
You mean auto download? Go to settings, general, select 'auto update apps over WiFi only.'

that works if it is an update, but if i chose to download an APP from my PC to my mobile phone, it doesn't wait to be under wifi
Hmm I guess there's nothing I can help with. I usually download apps using PC when I'm at home and it usually waits till I switch on the WiFi. Sorry.

While this suggestion doesn't directly do what you want to do I think it gets the job done: add it to your wishlist, when you get home download the most recent wishlist app.
