Sorry about the Choppy Audio. I need a new Mic.
Using the Links and Video posted here, you can download, install and run the Nokia Care Suite software. This software allows you to download the Latest STOCK OEM ROMs directly from Nokia Servers. It also allows you to flash these ROMs to your Nokia Phones. Keep in mind, this WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE CLEAN! So, be sure you have a backup of all your data, photos, videos, texts messages, etc... EVERYTHING
PS: Use these at Your Own Risk! I will not be held responsible if you destroy your new Lumia with these. With that said, I've flashed my own Lumia 900 8 times and my Lumia 920 3 times with no ill effects.
DOWNLOAD THE LATEST VERSIONS FROM HERE:
Download Nokia_Care_Suite_PST_5.0_2012.51.4.4.zip from mirrorcreator.com Use this to flash or Unbrick your phone.
Download Nokia_DataPackage_Manager_2012.18.0.zip from mirrorcreator.com Use this to download Multiple ROMs. NOT needed, as Care Suite will download individual ROMs.

Personally I am waiting for custom themese and the ability to use freaking internet sharing without ponying up the extra 30 dollars US that the darn phone comes built with. Oh registry tweak where are you!?
I'd be surprised if there isn't at least an Interop unlock within a month.

Agreed. Fortunately, we've got some of the brightest DEVs in the world working on it.
Is anyone else able to install the care suite on a win 7 64 bit system? I keep getting errors that I need some x86 c++ thing installed, which leads me to believe there is no 64 bit version. Not to mention that what I've read says that you need v4 installed to run v5. Both give me the error. Any ideas?

I'm running it on Windows 7 Professional x64, and I only installed v5. When you see those errors, copy and paste (highlight/Ctrl C) the addresses to download the required files. There were two for me. Install the first one, then try to run the installer again, it pops up with another one. Install that, then try to install again, and it goes right through.
Also, after installation, you will need a USB driver for the Nokia Suite & Fuse Connection Manager. For my Windows version, I used this one:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers\WinUSB Drivers x64.msi
There are a bunch in there, but this worked for me. If that does not work for someone, try another. I'd suggest this one for Windows 7 x86:
C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers\WinUSB Drivers x86.msi
Believe me, NOBODY is more excited than I am to find this, and find it works on Windows 7 x64. Now, I can start to play with released Custom ROMs and Customizations without worrying as much. During Recovery, there is an option for USB Dead Phone Flashing. I would assume this is for Bricked Phones.
anybody use the Data Package Manager yet to see what Roms that Nokia has available? I am seeing two variants of the Rom for each color Lumia 900.
For Example for the Black version I see 2 listed they are
1. RM-808 ATT RETAIL DEVICE ALIVE BLACK
2. RM-808 VAR ATT BLACK
Anybody have an idea as to what could be different? In the Package Manager there is nothing to distinguish what the difference is between the 2 other than the Product Code of the ROM, the SW Version is the same throughout all the ROMS, and the Firmware Files are all the same size minus the Rogers Rom, they are all 350.42MB.
I've Uploaded a screenshot of the application with the ROMS Listed.
I don't know what's different, if anything, but I personally flashed the ATT Retail Alive one to my phone. I believe they call those others Variant files.
Use Rogers's ROM to flash AT&T devices
Anyone try to do this? Because of seems like the internet sharing in AT&T is different than WW model.

Nokia Lumia 900
HI Gents,
Have a question as i'm quiet new to this:
I have a Nokia Lumia 900 locked by at&t in the US. I purchased it on ebay and live in Australia.
By me flashing this phone, will it unlock it from the at&t network with ROMS provided by the above links in this thread?
Best Regards,

I don't believe you can unlock the radio by flashing one of these, but maybe someone else can offer insight?
Again, I have NOT successfully flashed the Rogers ROM to my ATT Lumia, and I'm not even sure it will work. Keep in mind, it may brick your phone like flashing the wrong version of the Focus ROMs did to some Samsung Focuses, or how the HD2 had two different Radio Versions that bricked them if used incorrectly. Those two situations were unrecoverable without sending in to Factory for repair.
Another thing to keep in mind. These are 100% Original ROMs from Nokia. There are no changes or Hacks in these. You only get what your phone was originally shipped with. No need to use these if your phone is working properly. I posted them for anyone who wanted to look inside the ROMs for hacking, or anyone who has a phone in brick state that wants to try to recover.
I have a feeling successfully being able to flash the Rogers ROM over the ATT ROM might actually unlocked the internet sharing... However it's probably best to confirm in the other forum with someone who's unlocked the Rogers L900 on Telus if they were able to actually use it or if it remaining locked to Rogers.. If not, we're wasting our time trying.
I just tried to FORCE flash the Rogers ROM to my ATT Lumia, but I could not get it to work. It is failing due to not being correct hardware. Someone else might have better luck than I did. My guess is the files will need to be modified a little somewhere.
I also just added Images to the first Post that show Nokia Care Suite, and what phones are supported using this tool.

Rogers customer here.
The internet sharing option IS available but any connected devices will not get internet access unless you have a tethering plan. So even if you flash a Rogers ROM to an AT&T phone, it seems the provider still can disable internet sharing on their end.

I wonder if you can't flash it right now because the Rogers version is also a HSPA 42 device while the ATT is only 21. Dont know if this is enough of a difference for it not to work.

That's how the ATT version is. The option exists, but you have to call in to ATT and have it enabled for an extra charge.
I believe for those who want it free, you'll need to wait for registry access... Even then, doesn't ATT eventually find out and back charge?
Makes me wonder. Can a Rogers customer call Rogers and have it enabled for a charge on an ATT phone?

Hello everyone.
I have a Nokia Lumia 900 with unlocked bootloader / Qualcomm. I mean, I have Nand Access (if I try OSBL mode it asks to format). I'm currently running OS v 8107 and update 8773 is available but update is not feasible via Zune nor NCS (it does not find Nokia bootloader and can't proceed, so reboots).
As far as I know, updating via QPST is neither posible because of custom ROM (.nb file) is not available at this momento. Am I right?
The unlock bootloader is as is 'since factory'. Is there any chance to flash 'original' Nokia DLOAD so I can upgrade via Zune and/or flash OEM ROM via NCS?
Any help would be appreciated.
I've never heard of a Lumia 900 with a Qualcomm bootloader.
But if in fact you do, you should be messaging biktor_gj and Heathcliff so they can get a copy of that bootloader from you

Really, it my case, and that's why it's difficult to me to updating because they have not yet been able to unlock 900. Thanks for the tip, i'm going that way.
This might be what we've been all waiting for ankerael - keep us posted please if this might lead to unlocking the Lumia 900!

Well if its the same Qualcomm bootloader that the 800 & 710 have, its my understanding that its already unlocked.
biktor_gj was the one that discovered it for the 800/710, that's why its crucial you message him. If you do in fact have a Qualcomm bootloader for a 900, he would be able to set it up so that we with the NLOAD bootloader can downgrade to the Qualcomm. Then custom roms can happen.
But until then, you can upgrade via the CAB method SuperSport has provided here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736863. It only updates the OS though, not the firmware

Hi,
I had already DM biktor_gj and am awaiting for his response. I tried CAB method before (1 month aprox) and had no success. When it restarts the pone and sends upddated files it gives and error (don't remember the number, i'll try to reproduce later) and reboots with the OS non updated.
I'll keep you updated when I try CAB method once again and regarding the response I get of the DM. Thanks again

anything happen yet? i've recently purchased a Lumia and i'm definiely wondering about this. an amazing phone regardless!
Definitely DON'T upgrade anything until heathcliff and others can check out your bootloader. If you do indeed have qualcomm bootloader (and it seems you do as no update method is working for you) this could be VERY helpful in helping us unlock other Lumias.
This sounds like amazing news if it can be done.
How do I find out what bootloader I have on my lumia 900?

Turn off your phone. Then, boot into recovery (Either Power+Volume Up or Power+Volume Down), then plug the phone into your computer. If it asks you to format, say no, it can brick your phone. You have a Qualcomm bootloader. If it says "NOKIA DLOAD", then you have a Nokia bootloader.

I have Qualcomm bootloader and still have no clue about recovering DLOAD or even flashing a custom/stock ROM. I can't even update via Zune. Still stuck at 8107.79 (FW 8107.12071) ...
Any idea pls?
Hi,
Many people sent me messages with a reference to this thread. So, I will post here some info on this subject.
- It would be useful for research purposes to have a dump of the ROM. You can do that by connecting your Lumia to a Linux box and have it mounted a mass-storage-device. Linux has proper file-system-drivers to access the device. Make sure you don't write anything to the device. Just make a backup of all the files you see on the phone. Use WinRAR to pack it and upload it somewhere for sharing.
- In general, the NOKIA bootloaders have already been analyzed. But they are coded very tightly. No exploit for a HSPL-like-hack have been found yet.
- The dumped bootloader cannot be used to downgrade existing phones to the version with the unlocked bootloader, unless a hardware hack, similar to this, will be found for Lumia 900. It cannot be used now, because a signed certificate is missing for that.
- Currently only ankerael can benefit from this. After you made a backup of all the files/partitions (in Linux), you could ask a ROM builder, like Ultrashot, to fix a nice ROM for you. Maybe he can create an unlocked ROM for Lumia 900 for you? You could follow this guide for flashing the Nokia Lumia. Be careful! It is easy to brick your device with this stuff!
Good luck,
Heathcliff74

Is there any chance that someone could find a hardware hack or the certificate for the 900? Is anyone actively working on this, or is development on the 900 basically dead now that the 920 has replaced it? I know that others have replied to and asked this question, so sorry for asking it again, but I just wanted an update

Good afternoon.
I come with the illusion that any developer can help users of LG P870, I wonder if someone could develop a way to install ClockworkMod recovery as custon able to use unofficial roms, and I am desperate for waiting to come out some method to free once and for all this great phone, the phone is becoming popular because it is inexpensive and is being distributed in the U.S. by AT&T and Telcel Mexico, please support us to all of us that we have this phone.
To add a little, this phone already has root method Bin4ry with a restore script via adb.
I would love for this phone to get unlocked with CWM. It's an amazing phone. We just need to pull everyone together that has one and get them on here until someone can help. I appreciate all of the devs on here and I hope we can get something going on this awesome phone.
Ditto.
Jelly Beans.... Optimus F5 has it. Escape is the same phone. Guess we wait. Hopefully, not as long like Optimus 3D/Thrill.
Disappointing
send an email to LG for a response on whether there would be an early upgrade of our model to Jelly Bean or at least unlocking the bootloader and this was his response:
Thank you for your interest about our mobile phone.
“We received your request on LG Open Source Code Distribution site(http://opensource.lge.com).
This site is just for providing source codes of FOSS(Free and Open Source Software) we have used in our product.”
We don’t have any detailed information about LGP870’s boot loader unlock.
If there is any news, LG will announce officially.
Please wait for more times.
We hope this information will help you.
Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
simply a misfortune I regret having bought this phone from LG
No support
I contacted LG open source and the person that emailed me back said that the escape doesn't support bootloader unlocking.

Has there been any development on P870 so far? At least is there a way to get unbloated version of stock firmware or change the language of the OS?
It would be cool if there is at least a list of stuff we can safely get rid of? Or can we try to get a different version to remove all the crapware AT&T pre-loaded?
Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, there has been no further development. I love this phone, but the lack of support is slowly making me go for either the optimus g or g2. Also as far as I know, there is no list. Its just trial and error I guess. I've personally tried to remove some stuff, but after a reboot it says security error. So certain things will cause a security error while others will be just fine. Btw, the only way (that I know of) to fix a security error is to use the lg support tool to recover your phone.

I see you are still using the device, any specific complaints about the software or the bloatware? Or are they just sitting there chilling until you actually run them? I know T-Mo had a bunch that were constantly running like T-Mo back up, My T-Mo, etc.. After the security error, was it a total restore/recovery or was it not destructive recovery? Sorry, I am not familiar with LG at all, coming from T-679 which was extremely flexible, this is a bit puzzling.
How about language, anyway to switch the language of the OS to something like German?

Try putting your phone in download mode before using the lg support tool. That normally helps for me. Make sure you choose upgrade recovery in the options tab.

They don't run in the background unless you update them and set them up. I keep all the updates uninstalled and disable auto update so i don't have to worry about them. And yes it is a total recovery. Nothing is saved unless it is on your sim card or sd card. You can change the system language, but I don't see a german option. You might be able to download a language pack from the play store. I'll check into it and let you know.
P.S. sorry for the late reply..

Cwm recovery for the escape is finally here!!! The guy who made it also made a custom rom. I installed it and tested it. So far everything works (I don't use Bluetooth so I haven't tested that yet).

I went to try to install the recovery and rom. First question is, I skipped the driver install and rooting my phone because I am already rooted using motochopper. The f5_touch_ recovery.apk I was told to run does nothing? I tried extracting it and it swill doesn't run or bring anything up? Do I need a program to run this file or is it because I didn't use the method included to root? Then if that is the case and i'm successful at the recovery. What do I need to do to install the Rom?Please help ASAP! I have the recovery and ROM downloaded and saved waiting to install! Been waiting to do this forever so please help! THanks sooo much!
Hi all,
I'm considering buying a Nokia 7.1 and I was wondering if the current unlock procedure is working with this version as well?
Thanks!
According to a facebook post, they are not going to offer any bootloader unlock for the 7.1. Hopefully this is wrong information.
Nokia Mobile Hi Robert! Thanks for your interest. At this point, there are no plans of releasing the 7.1 with an unlocked bootloader.
Until HMD allows bootloader unlocking I'll stick with Oneplus and Xaiomi for complete control and root access
Can a Mod fix the title for this thread? It may be here awhile. Thanks.
Someone needs to try once they have a 7.1?

I think that comment is taken out of context. I see it as they are shipping all phones with locked bootloader, not that they won't be unlockable.

Yes, my reading as well.
Fair, here was my original question but I do understand the possible confusion between unlockable and selling it unlocked.
Thinking about getting two 7.1 devices when they start shipping. Is there word on whether or not the bootloader will be unlockable? If the bootloader can't be unlocked I'll move on to something else.

I tried the Nokia Bootloader Unlock method, no joy. The unlock app says "Device not support."

that`s why i`d never buy a Nokia phone.
As long as Nokia doesn`t allow their customers to do with their phones what THEY want i buy Xiaomi phones :good:
Why is the OEM unlock toggle in development settings greyed out , have Nokia locked it down ?

yes. but you can open bootloader for money.
How so?
Seriously?! I was thinking in buying this phone because it isn't huge and it is android One. The only alternatives that I can think are Xiaomi Mi A2 or Galaxy S9

It's a decent device, and having One is certainly a plus, but I'm moving on to the Sony XZ3 for a few reasons including the lack of an easy, supported method of unlocking the bl.
Additionally, AOSP is available for the Sony if that's your preference and it gets timely monthly updates.

Hey there,
I own a Nokia 7.1 and was also looking around for a way to unlock the bootloader. I've been looking around and it turns out Nokia has their own website for this. I have unfortunately not posted enough times to give a URL, but a quick search for 'nokia bootloader unlock' has the top result showing the page I am referencing.
Not sure if it's been posted as a reply before, but I thought I'd share.
Here's the site.
Not used it personally though
The second result when searching is a paid service($8) but they remotely connect to your computer to do it which I'd not be comfortable with to be honest

I used said 8$ Service today. Some indian guy named Narender Singh, friendly, patient with a Android noob like me. Communication in my case via Telegram chat. Time difference isn't that large from Germany to India (they have UTC+5:30). Contrary to my sparse Android skills I'm definetely not a complete noob with computers, know a console command when I see one. I took precautions, and was aware at what was happening on screen and tracking the clipboard at all times. But really nothing suspicious ever happened. He used all the software and ROMs that i had downloaded myself in advance from sources I found myself using google (f.e. NOSt 0.6).
He did do all the nessessary steps in the cmd, always inside the NOSt path, fastboot this and fastboot that, not a single command did look suspicious or aimed at the computer (which was a fresh win10 set up for the purpose, and not in Home Network). He looked up some serial Number and other device information he got from the phone NOSt console commands, copied them to a newly created text file. Two minutes later he copied a large string into said textfiles (no console commands, more like a veeeery long key) which he supposedly created from the serial number and other device information he got from my phone.
Some rebooting the phone in download mode later, the bootloader is unlocked (console confirmed, downloadmodescreen in phone confirmed as well).
We had no luck in installing the Havoc GSI ROM however, which I had downloaded in advance, but in a wrong version (like for twrp and/or tailored for some motorola?). So now my next problem is: since not many people know how to unlock the bootloader of the Nokia 7.1, nobody will develop a custom ROM tailored for it.
I will now have to look for and try some GSI google-assistant-free ROMs the next days and try those twrp/adb installation guides... Any suggestions are welcome :fingers-crossed:
Narender suggested, that I should try Custom ROMs tailored for "Nokia 6.1 Plus". Don't know why, probably the model is very similar? I'd feel more like trying generic GSI ROMs instead, but that's just a feeling, because i simply don't know how similar they really are.
So far my feedback on unlocking the bootloader on my 7.1.
I don't know if this helps or not, but you can still toggle the oem unlock button even if its greyed out on pie.
All you have to do is turn off the developer options and turn it back on , but as soon you turn on the developer options click on the oem unlock button as quickly as possible and it should toggle the button. Well, it did in my case.
Has anyone tried using it. Let me know if it works.

Hi everyone!
after a lot of searching (including in this forum) i haven't quite understood what is or isn't possible, and i haven't been able to get clear answers. so sorry if this was already discussed a couple of times.
i own the indian variant (LE2121), even though i live in Israel (aliexpress is the only decent way to get your hands on oneplus devices in my country),
for obvious reasons in an ideal world i would want to install a global firmware on my device, so i can uninstall bloatware and avoid Inidian restrictions that aren't necessary in my country.
is that a possibility?
from what research i managed to do: i understand that i need a suitable version of MSMDownloadTool (which i couldn't find) and a firmware (which i saw is listed in the sticky threads).
should i download everything as if i own the global variant of the device? should i download the LE2121 version of the MSMTool and the global rom? do i need to root/unlock the bootloader for my device?
i also have tried to just download the newest global version and install it via Settings -> local install, but it just tells me "verification failed" and nothing else.
last thing: if it helps, my device currently has this firmware version: LE2121_11_F.20
would really appreciate any help i can get,
cheers.

You can flash the global rom with unlocked bootloader and fastboot enchanched (fbe)
Or you Download load the global rom
And open it with 7z and edit a file in the zip with notepad++ and then flash it with a local update
Edit the payload_porperties.txt
The line oplus_update_eingine_verify_disable=0 to
oplus_update_eingine_verify_disable=1
Here you go, This should work. May have to play around with the check boxes and if a target button is available, select India......

it shows both COM 8 & 9 because i tried two different usb slots with two different cables. i ended up using a type-c to type-c cable since it's the most reliable cable i have atm.
my phone is in EDL mode (as far as i can tell) and it shows up in device manager like so, after i installed Qualcomm drivers and restarted my PC:
i'm using Windows 11, i have tried using compatibility mode and\or "start as administrator", but it didn't help.
thanks a bunch!

system-wide, yes. everything works as expected and i don't get any weird errors, plus having the benefit of formatting my phone makes it feel smooth and "new" again, which is nice.
one of the main reasons i did this (aside from what i mentioned originally) is because i sometimes get stutters desynced audio when playing video (no matter the source). i can resolve this by closing all apps and re-opening youtube/whatever i was watching.
i hoped it'd be fixed with the firmware change but it wasn't. maybe it's a hardware issue or something

Hi, how are you?
I greet you from Argentina.
I wanted to tell you that I bought an OP11, and I received the Chinese version .
The original version of the device is: PHB110
I flashed the ROM with Oxygen OS and now the model is: CPH2447 (India, but it works in Argentina).
The device itself works well, with some automatic brightness or screen unlock errors (nothing serious for now).
The problem I have is that I can't update the device:
My current OS version is CPH2447_11_A.08
And I have the version CPH2447_11_A.09 available.
## OTA update (device's own update):
It gives me an error:
failed to download, please try again

Local update:
If I download the update with the Oxygen Updater app and try to do a local update, I get this error:
the dm-verity is disabled. please check fastboot boot status
I have the bootloader unlocked and the OEM option enabled (without the possibility of disabling).
So, how can I update?
I was thinking of relocking the bootloader, but I don't know if doing this will cause the device to turn on again, nor do I know if I will lose my files. I'm too lazy to set everything up again.
The command I would run is:
fastboot flashing relock
I clarify that the command fastboot flashing lock does nothing, it just returns the list of fastboot commands.
Would it solve my problems? I mean, lock the bootloader, allow disabling OEM, and allow updating?
PS: I also can't install apps like Netflix with the bootloader unlocked.
Same situation with me, I suggest you shouldn't lock bootloader and OOS is still bad for using now

Command is fastboot flashing lock. Also don't relock Bootloader if you are rooted. Or you did any modifications.
Also for Netflix and banking apps, if you are rooted using Magisk, use USNF 2.4.2 displex mod.

Thank you, the command "fastboot flashing lock" does nothing, it just returns the list of fastboot commands, but when trying "fastboot flashing relock", it does wait for the device, so I understand that this one works.
The device is not rooted, it just has the bootloader unlocked (understanding that this is not root) with Magisk, USNF 2.4.2 displex mod. Are these the same tool or two different tools?
With that, could I install updates? Do you recommend it?
Can you explain how?
Thank you.
The short answer is it doesn't work.
I have tried to flash (unlocked) the new rom from settings, after reboot, it went into bootloop. After rebooting like 20 times, it successfully booted into system, but said that the update had failed. I don't think that it even matters whether your op is locked or not.
Anyway you can flash it using Enhanced Fastboot and then flash the opvk... img ( I don't remember the name of the image).

I understand, what a problem, because if the only way is by doing a flash, I have to reconfigure all the apps after each flash, it's quite cumbersome.
I don't know what to do, I'm still in the situation where I can return the device.
I bought the 16GB and 512GB version, but it's only available in China. I don't know if I should exchange it for a Pixel 7 Pro, the 256GB version of the OP11, or wait for a software solution that fixes the issue with the OP11.

You can use enhanced Fastboot to flash the new rom, you don't need to wipe the data. Worked for me.
Well if people would stop buying the Chinese version phone if not living in china. These problems would not happen. This is the 3rd or 4th thread about this problem now.

This type of comment doesn't add anything! You don't know the context of each person.
For example, in my case, my seller assured me that their importer was sending them the global version, so both my seller and I were expecting the global version.

Yes, never use the fact that the global economy is global to your advantage. You are a little person and do not matter. Never by components made anywhere other than where you are, why not limit it to your city, block, house?
It is silly, kind of like saying why have a Pixel in China. Well, because it is available and I wanted to buy it. The fact that a company makes it harder does not mean I have a problem. They have a problem, serious problem in the case of Google simply blocking Chinese mbn files when they are actually on the devices.
My guess is Oppo/Oneplus will not openly address the issue. Fact of the matter is the Chinese version is on the global market and is their product. Their best option is to make OxygenOS compatible, but there might be some legal reasons not to do that. If you do buy the device make sure to know where the service centers are I guess. From what I have read the official centers help for free when issues come up.

Silly is when people still can’t admit publicly that they know for years phone manufacturers were making region specific or region published only devices and they can or are different and nobody is promising they will work on the other side of the globe. Yet people are still rushing to buy it and import it and after that they again cry on the internet something does not work as intended.
Why buy an untested phone in the blind? I have no clue.
Everybody can literally wait 1 month after release to read the feedback here and know what to expect at the beginning of OP11 release.
But hey, Oneplus only made 10 devices for the whole world and I need to be one of the people who needs to has it, preferably from China, with different stock system, oh and I don’t want to pay higher price, including higher taxes specific for my region.
The update logic is simple, download the full OOS OTA package according to your existing rom version, in your case is the indian one.
Flash the payload.bin to both slots and flash back the COS oplusstanvbk.img.
Tried many times from A.06 to A.08 to A.09, everytime works.

You do know what this forum is for, right? I guess what it used to be for. For whatever reason I bought the Chinese one in China and still want to mess with it.

Do whatever you want with you phone, I don't care.
I am simply amazed that some people will still import it from China and create again new topic that the calling was blocked or the Chinese seller flashed whatever software and they can't update anymore when literally it is known information since weeks and some would still blindly jump in rather than avoid it.

Don't buy Pixel 7 pro before you investigate if it works in youre telephone company, if it works well in youre city/country!

I understand, he was able to do it. And has he had any problems with limitations? I mean those errors that show up because it's a Chinese version and there's an alert of limitations because it's outside the region.
