One X Battery - HTC One X

Coming from a DHD I'm more than happy with the battery. The screen shot says it all to be honest. Another happy customer.

what brightness level was that with?
John.

Everything stock with the screen brightness on auto.
It did spend a lot of time sleeping, you can see the dips on the graph when I made calls. That was off its second charge so I'm hoping for good things. I'm sure the second I start using the camera it'll plummet.

Can you tap on the "Screen" and tell us the screen on time? My battery is horrible.

1 hour 45 minutes screen on time. I guess its good to know it sleeps well.

After 20mins

I actually don't have brightness on auto... As it is kinda bright especially at night so I find it useful to lower it... I usually get somwhere between 12 - over 24hrs depending on use.

Yes, sometimes it does.

Same here, every time i plug the charger in
Thanks, how long you had them for? Just trying to decide if this is a separate issue from the constant screen flicker, or if its just a sign that eventually its gonna flicker all the time again

Maybe it's a voltage regulator that's the problem for the flickering screens?
There was somebody who said HTC had confirmed that to chitter chatter (not sure if that's the correct company name) that it was faulty voltage regulators, although the HTC support just says to get it replaced without further info apart from 'we are investigating'

Personally I think even if it flickers when plugged in there's a hardware fault, ie my dhd never flickers when I plug it in...

Battery wont charge past half

Geez, I don't want to return this phone already, I just finished setting everything up! Any ideas?
If you take a look at the right hand side, its been flat for a couple hours now.
Does the phone feel hot? Maybe try leaving it and not playing with it while it charges lol

The phone isn't hot. I was charging it this whole time on my PlayStation. I plugged it into the wall a few minutes ago and saw a small spike in the graph. I guess the culprit was my ps3. Ill how how it goes in another half hour or so
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
OK, ps3 was the problem and the phone is charging fine

That's good to hear

Battery life

Just a question been testing battery only on 3rd charge but is 20 hours of battery life with 3 hours screen on time good bad?
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Three hours of screen on time seems to be about the norm.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda premium
Cheers seems to be "ok" but would live a little better
It's a whole lot better than I get and I had my hox for nearly 2 weeks now

guess i cant complain then thanks for feedback

[TIP]Prevent heating OneX

Just to let others know I use several frozen gel packs which when I am using my OneX for hardcore gaming I place the gel backs under the phone to keep it cool. Anyone else do this?
Heat + cold = condensation...not a good idea.

Dave is right...This practice of yours will damage your phone on the long run. If your phone regularly reaches temperatures above 50 degrees celcius, you should consider returning cause faultu hardware might be the culprit behibd your overheating issues.
Gel packs? Eh? My phone gets warm when playing games but I deal with it. My ipad3 gets crazy hot but nothing bad comes of it. I have faith in htc.. If it gets hot then find but I shouldn't have to worry about it getting hot and it possibly overheating

Actually for Laptops Thermapak has a Heatsuit which aborts the heat and keep it cool. I wish we have one for our One X,. It actually works pretty well.
On my HOX the battery health says "Overheated" after gaming for like 20 mins
I think the most useful cooling tool is the fan...
but maybe the air conditioner is great...

true there can be condensation but I've been using gel packs for about 2 years, always on my sensation when gaming at home, desire hd as well as now the one x, never had issues. cooling fan is one idea but the gel packs are awesome. you can buy portable cooling units that are designed for phones albeit more expensive

SHOW OFF YOUR SCREEN with THESE

I just wanted to start this thread and see what xda users can come up with to show off our perfect screens. Videos preffered of course.
Make sure you test it before hand so as to ensure excellent quality!

I personally think that any 720p anime look extremely good on the HOX screen , preferably one with bright colors.
Yeah anything animated whether its CGI or Anime would most definitely do the trick. A photo I took of my back yard seemed to capture ridiculously lush bright greenery which does 2 jobs of showing off how nice the screen is and how good the camera is.
I always watch anime along the way to work.
I tend to just find videos on YouTube which I know have 720p available. I play paintball, so I often use youtu[dot]be/UFmKIOTYWNs or youtu[dot]be/nCGMQC2wWn4 (not allowed to actually post links yet).
Note, there is dubstep-ish music in these videos. If you don't like dubstep, don't open the links (just fair warning!). There are also some short scenes between cuts of paintball footage that are a little edgy, eg there's a very short clip of a pole dancer (fully clothed at least) in the second video.
I like to use these videos because 1) 720p is available, 2) it's a video of something I do, 3) the videos not only show off the screen's resolution but also do a pretty good job showcasing the colours and contrast.
Despicable Me in 720p looks brilliant.

^ Yes what a perfect example. http://www.bigbuckbunny.org/index.php as well.
To be fair, despicable me looks great on anything.
I can't remember any stand out films that look good, they all do. But as for pictures, the HTC wallpapers look great and make the screen stand out to people.

I was watching trailer on ice age 4, stunning.
This is probably the best to use when you want to amaze someone with your great screen.

There was another one that was fullscreen, I'm trying to find it now.
Also not fullscreen, but on Vimeo, has slightly better HD quality I think/

Just enable ''Watch in Couch-Mode'' when right-clicking the video, should be a setting for the same thing for mobile too.
Just watched the Monsters university trailer. Holy crap, that looks awesome on my hox.

I've found a feature that makes s3 owners jealous. If my screen is on 70% brightness for 5 mins I can attach a handle on the back of my one x and iron my jeans.
