There're many modules that Tun.ko installer can load automatically. So wht's your firmware (ROM and kernel)?.
Whatever, i think you should request the droidvpn developers if yours doesn't match

This is DroidVPN answer
Q: Why does my phone reboots/restarts when I open DroidVPN or when I press the start button on DroidVPN.
A: We have traced this problem on some faulty ROMs that doesn't properly handle the loading of tun module. This problem actually affects all VPN applications that uses tun.ko including OpenVPN.
Solution: Unfortunately we cannot fix this problem on our side since the problem relies on your phone's OS. So the only option you have right now is to flash a different ROM on your phone that properly supports TUN.

Noooooo
Thanks for your help...I think I must giveup with this app..

I built it: please check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669806
I would be glad if you guys don't submit it to DroidVPN since their APK is only on the market and their tun.ko database is not accessible unless you use their app to download.
Application is also buggy, since it works on kernel version only - and when Sony decided to keep the same version number between GB and ICS - the DroidVPN offers to download the tun.ko for GB which will reboot the phone.

I can confirm viulian's tun.ko module works with my Xperia Ray st18a with stock ICS firmware. Thanks alot! I have been pulling my hair out for weeks trying to get OpenVPN to work again.
Can I suggest a link to this thread be added to the "Themes, Tweaks, Roms, Kernels and more[UPDATED 01/05-2012]
Thread"? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1628264) In the list is a thread called "Tun.Ko module - Use OpenVPN on the Xperia Ray"
Thanks again,

It is also works on my xperia Arc S with stock ICS
Many thanks

I'm soo glad to see some support on the TUN.ko issue
I too have been flashing over and over trying to find a ROM and Kernel that actually have TUN.ko.
So far I have found none. I have tried the arconium ICS port to Pro, the stock ICS from sony, the Ultima Rom( i cant even find the ICS there, only GB) and CM9, but none of them have a working TUN.ko.
I have tried the TUN.ko installer aswell but it just doesnt work, it installs a TUN module but it is 0kb.
I would highly appreciate if anyone knows of a ROM and kernel that have a working TUN.ko for Pro, I really want to use Onavo Extend
Thanks

[Overclock] About overclocking with SetXperia?

Hello.
I Have my Arc S LT18i rooted and have the Ice Beam rom installed. Now i want to overclock my 1.4 GHZ CPU.
I Use SetXperia. However I get me bar no further than 1.4 GHZ. What am I doing wrong? I have given the app SuperUser permssion.
Thanks!
What kernel are you using?
Hmmm,
I have actually really no idea.
The only thing I have used is the following method and then the 3rd post.
And then the Arc S kernel. I then installed the Ice Beam ROM on here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1683957
this tutorial is for 4.1.B.0.587 only!
1) flash the 4.1.A.0.562 kernel http://www.mediafire.com/?twn09p8ekug46f7 (thanks to sathurnn)
note: you might get errors after the reboot, don't worry, this is normal and step 3 will fix that.
2) root your Arc/s with DooMLoRD's tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1601038
3) flash the 4.1.B.0.587 kernel
Arc kernel only:
http://i.minus.com/1345398372/ZK_e-m...ernel_only.ftf
Arc S kernel only:
http://i.minus.com/1345808607/vsMMtn...ernel_only.ftf
Thanks, that's all that I know.
You need a kernel that's overclockable, and one that's for your FW.
Thanks. I know enough.

[REQUEST] Libs for baseband 70!

Anyone that can upload the corresponding libs (baseband patch) for baseband 70 (for Xperia Arc / Arc S)? It would be very, very appreciated
I'm going to use this together with Xperia Pureness ROM and I need it pretty fast.. The search button didn't give me any results, so I'm asking here instead after the BB70 libs for Arc S.

[Q][ARC] Overclocking kernel for stock ICS 4.0.4

Currently I'm using the stock ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) on my Xperia ARC LT15i with unlocked bootloader and thinking about overclock it, however, I couldn't find a custom kernel that gives me that possibility.
I've researched about DoomLord, Mesa and other ones but I only see custom works for ICS 4.0.3.
In case of anybody knows some good kernel for LT15 running ICS 4.0.4 I'd really apreciate if could tell me more about or indicate any research's source.
Thank you folks and sorry if this question is inappropriate.
Regards.
Hi,
There are many kernels for ICS in the development section. Most of them provides overclocking feature. You can try Arcknight, Xarc, Anzu and Lupus kernel. But based on experience with my arc, most of them have battery drain issues.
right now Im on advanced stock kernel
I always using doomkernel v5 or sega stock kernel without overclock. I dont want my arc blows up.
But it's up to you.
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
Thanks

Am I using GB or JB?

Hey I'm gonna try to see if I can flash a kernel, not sure if I am unlocked bootloader yet but inputting the service nubmer doesn't work so I'm going to try to flash
But I'm not sure if I'm using JB or a GB skinned like JB.
It says Android version: 2.3.7
Kernel : 2.6.32.9
ROM Version: Gin2Jellybean v2.4.0
Build Number 4.0.2.A.0.
you are using gb
jb android version is 4.1+ but gb is 2.3.+
Thanks, thought so. So I've been on the right ROM for gaming all this time :good:
