I tried flashing my Gio earlier today through CWM Recovery and now it doesn't boot - I can enter recovery mode just fine but that's it. I've read a lot of stuff on here about flashing ODIN and wanted to use a stock rom but all the links I've found are unavailable for download. Can anyone help me out?
Many thanks in advance!
did you wipe data/factory reset first? i think that's the problem

Hi all,
I downloaded JT 10 and the kernel that was provided.
I do a full wipe, plus the davlik wipe and after I install the rom it gets stuck on the loading screen.
I have also re downloaded the rom and tried again. Not sure what else to try.
Any help is greatly appreciated, sorry if this is a stupid question. I tried searching but could not find anything that helped me.
Thanks

it does that sometimes on a radio flash, normally if you just use the darkside cache wipe and reboot it will kick through just fine. I've encountered that playing with radios on my device

Re-flash recovery and rom/kernel, should help
I guess you have not flashed the correct kernel. Download the correct kernel from the thread of the ROM and then flash it via fastboot.
This will probably fix it.

Hi,
I was in balli's thread where i realized some people had problems returning back to 4.1.2 . What i did was
1)factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache
2)Using odin I flashed back a 4.1.2 stock rom
3)factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache
Dont know if all the steps are necessary , buts this is what I did.
PS: I didn't post in Balli's thread as I'm a new user and it seems i cant.

Don't use a firmware which has carrier name, or else your phone will be network-locked. You can use any other country's firmware as long as there's no carrier name.

I had a similar prob with my HTC one. So I flashed boot image (TWRP recovery) using fastboot. Then applied custom ROM using recovery.
Are you using a windows 8 PC for flashing? If so try flashing again from a Windows 7 PC, It works sometimes (I dont know why, but USB driver management of Win8 sucks)
Your phone should be in warranty (I hope so) and you should first give it to Samsung guys if you have original purchase proof. Since u bought it in Chile and using it in Argentina, I dont know if it would be possible. All the best.
