My HOX is suddenly able to display the Sense UI in Landscape and auto-rotate faultlessly. I don't think I've changed any settings and it's definitely not in dock mode or media uplink mode. Any idea how or why ?
Don't get me wrong, it's great, but if it stops I'd like to understand how to get it working again

That's strange, I've been trying to see if I can get my HOX to work in Landscape mode on the Homescreens etc... but cant' find out how.

Please add more details. Official or custom ROM? Which version?
Sorry. Just added screen shot to original post.
I am running standard, grey HOX, UK unlocked with stock 1.26 ROM.
Not rooted. No mods at all.

When i got the device i assumed that this was a function of sense 4 as it was present in a one s sensation port but it wasn't present on my device out of the box.
I know it can be implemented in a custom rom (not sure how to do it though!) but was not aware that it can be done on stock 1.26.
EDIT I guess it must be one of the settings in developer options. Would be interested to know if any body finds it.
F*#@%K! Now it's stopped again.
I swear to god, for a good half an hour there it was working beautifully
I think Sense may have restarted which has caused it to stop rotating
Just download a 3rd party app and Force home to rotate aswell :S

Does anyone know the name of the clock widget shown in this video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=CNiTBB2veA0#t=42s
I'm pretty sure that it is either Beautiful Widgets or the other more popular Fancy Widgets with a cubical clock skin applied. This video must be old because the soft buttons at the bottom aren't the same as the soft buttons now shown on the device. I can't wait for this phone!!! It seems like we've been waiting FOREVER for it to finally release. Lol

Ye I've arrived at the same conclusion now I'm just trying to Identify the skin. It does appear to be an older build but it does have one feature I wish that was present in the final build in that is had landscape mode enabled on the launcher.

It doesn't as the functionality isn't present in the final build for some reason, rather annoying really as I was hoping to be able to use the phone fully in landscape should I want to.

Bit stupid if you ask me but then I suppose that's what XDA Developers is for - to hack it so we don't need the cable or Media Link!
Yes you are right. I think this will only happen after 2-3 months as there were other priorities which needs to be fixed(like s-off and custom kernels). And HTC has to release the source code for one x soon.
Android 4.2 keyboard - Youtube link
Download ZIP file, and flash it in recovery. That also means you're going to need root. as you'll be writing to /system/apps. Before you do, though, either back up the stock keyboard (if you don't know how, you probably shouldn't be doing this) or create a full image backup, just in case.
Here's that ZIP file:
Download
Enjoy
P.S.
Set a new keyboard as default.
On Android keyboard settings you have a text correction.... you must to download dictionary.
Without this swype function doesn't work.
Cool!

nicely done. would be better if there is arrows when you swipe the spacebar upwards like in gingerbread keyboard
This probably not working with Sense ROMs, anyone tried it?
i tried, not showing , where do i change in settings to get that keyboard .. not showing in settings ..

It works, you need to set it as your default keyboard! (the one that doesn't have (AOSP) written), cheack at your settings.
I'm using and it's the best keyboard since it's launch...

The Nexus devices show a transparent floating list on the right side of the screen where you can swipe away open apps, CM goes one step further and gives you a button to close all open apps. The HTC One takes you to another screen with really small pictures of apps you swipe away one by one to close. Ideally I am looking for the CM version of that, or would even settle for the stock Google version.
Wait until the Google edition then flash that.

TrickDroid rom has an option in its settings to change from sense multitasking to the nexus style you are referring to. Only thing is there is no close all option like CM.

Its a framework change. I've done it before on another phone. And by the way, you don't need to wait for the google edition. CM10.1 is exactly that with more features.

You'll probably have to ask someone to make it for you specifically, or Flash TrickDroid which isn't far off a stock rom other than some theme options

Hi All,
Currently running ARHD 11.0 on my HTC One. I've deleted the HTC Lock Screen and now have the AOSP Lock Screen (see first attached pic).
Its not bad, but what I'm really looking for is the Lock Screen found on the Google Edition HTC One (see second attached pic). The difference is the bold hours and the ability to add widgets.
I know there probably isn't a quick fix, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Would love this too! I think it's the framework-res.apk that needs to be modified - although, am not sure if it's the HTC version or the original.

If you use ViperOne and use the AOSP lockscreen, does it still have that annoying "feature" where you have to unlock the phone when you have an incoming call before you can answer it?

I'm not here to try and sell you it, just making a suggestion to get AOSP lock screen, which was the original question. You could make a nandroid backup of ARHD and flash it, if you don't like it, just do a restore.

Use this for now. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2343150
I know it has already been recommended, but in all honesty the Holo Locker Premium application is just amazing and well worth every penny. I tried the trial version with not much hope and I absolutely loved it. At first whenever I would wake it up, the HTC lockscreen would appear for a second and then the Holo lockscreen, so then I used TitaniumBackup to freeze the HTC Lockscreen and that doesn't happen anymore; of course if you're not rooted, that will be hard to achieve.
I realize that you want pattern unlock, but I guess you can't always get everything. You can delete the HTC Lockscreen apk (back it up first) from the system/app and you'll get the AOSP lockscreen but with only one button on the right (unlock) and no other choices, and also when someone calls, you'd have to unlock in order to see who it is (same thing with choosing to install AOSP Lockscreen on most ROMs like TrickDroid) which gets annoying.
I know it's not ideal since you won't get any security lock options, but in all honesty it's the best I have tried so far.
