Hey peeps,
New to XDA, finding it an amazing community of modders...
Anyways, am I the only one who hates the tone that's made from pressing the volume key on the side? We have quad core phones yet the sound it makes is like "my first phone" toy.
Maybe it's just me who doesn't like them but either way, can i remove/disable/replace this sound?

Lol, true true you can.. I still just don't like the kiddish sound..
I've been in one or two quiet places (notably at a company presentation) and ah, just hate the tone that goes off!
So any ideas? Maybe a location for the audio files?
Would deleting them effectively make it silent?
I guess only I have this issue then ...

Not at all, gives me the pains as well.
Guess you can probably delete these sounds when you are rooted, which is unfortunately out of the question for me.
Doesn't bother me other than when I'm in work, and everybody looks at me thinking I'm playing a little xylophone!

So the solution was a lot simpler than I thought ..
1) root the phone
2) go to /system/media/audio/ui/
3) backup (just in case) then delete "Volume-1.aac" - "Volume-7.aac"
Simples.

I have the same issue
being classed as incompatible would generally mean that it doesnt work. so the apk wouldnt make any difference at all.
maybe worth emailing the dev and asking if they plan on releasing an update for the one x

I am running IceColdSandwich 8.4 by Lord Clockan, and my CPU Values always reset back to default everytime I reboot my phone. Is there a way to make it stay so I dont have to keep on changing the cpu settings back to the way I wanted to? Thanks.

I think what he means is that even after ticking 'set on boot', they revert after a reboot. Many people including me reported this in Lord Clockan's thread. It's been there since many versions. He said it's a problem with ROM Control and he can't fix it.
It doesn't always happen, but it happens quite often.

I wanna start a thread in the gen section for a few of us (the more the merrier) to hang out, and if someone new comes and asks questions there, help them out as well. I've been somewhat hesitant, not knowing if it would work out.
I know guyinthecorner would say yes in a heartbeat without even asking him .

Sorry this is a sloppy rough. I'm on vacation. Using someone else's laptop and Paint.net. No Photoshop and a shaky mouse don't help but this is what i came up with.
