Hi everybody . I have a lil question. I can´t decide between HTC One S or X.
Comapring both devices I was surprised when it was about the RAM. Both have 1GB but in Antutu benchmark the One X reaches twice the amount of points than the One S.
Okay....stupid benchmarks But what really surprised me was the task manager (first pic One X, 2nd One S).

Does anybody has an idea how it is possible that just some less MB RAM are reserved for the One X system while it is more than 300MB RAM for the One S?
Or do I evaluate something wrong?
Thanks
Cud have been sumat with the OS maybe? im not to sure as i dont monitor systems, may not be like that on a ROM but would cost a fortune just to test that again on ROMs ask in the actual Android thread not HTC section, may get a better answer
All HTC Android devices with have been with Qualcomm processors and have always showed less total RAM in Task Manager. The HTC One X (Tegra 3 version only) is the first non-Qualcomm Android device from HTC and is the first one to show the correct Total RAM in Task Manager.
So it seems it has something to do with the OS and SoC being used.

I know this is a long shot but are there any car modding developers out there who could make a windows mobile version of the greddy emanage support tool.
Would be amazing if I could just plug my HD2 in to my emanage blue piggy back ecu to monitor/change settings.
p.s. currently about 2/3 the way through of fitting an eaton M45 supercharger to my fto
the specs needed for the original software are quite low -
266mhz cpu (for real time monitoring)
128mb ram
50mb hard drive space
svga monitor (800X600)
my beast

I doubt this would every happen unless Greddy wants to release the source code which I don't see ever happening.

there is one guy who has allready released his own version emanage tools and it was an open source project.
I have just grabbed a copy and it includes .pdb files if these are the source code files (sorry for the newbie question)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=J9F0CTVO
This version isnt as fully featured as the original greddy one but still measures -
rpm
air fuel ratios
boost
throttle position
a day before the official announcement a picture has been leaked.

well it doesn't seems very exiting to me this specs ... with no hspa an no front camera and less RAm then DHD .. the only thing that I've appréciated here is the internal memory .. finaly HTC had to put a real capacity on their device.
I don't really care about mindblowing hardware specs, it's the OS that's giving me the boner.
Dimensions on that pic are a mistake. The dimensions leaked earlier are more realistic, almost identical to the HD2.
hopefully all the hardware inside will be the same as HD2 so it make porting to hd even better. even tho ts must be different with HD2
so its basically a windows 7 HD2. early reports are that the screen is lack luster

Yes, and with a kickstand that will be broken in about a week...
Hi guys
I bought this phone recently and I have probably what may seem silly doubts. They are about Ram memory and Mass storage memory amounts.
The phone it's supposed to come with 1 GB of Ram memory and 4 GBs of mass memory. But when I mess around with the pone I see different things:

Why just 723 mb of ram -mostly taken by the system lol. So where is the rest?
Other thing. Could someone upload any picture made with captivate's cam. Cause I've been taking around some photos and quality it's a bit crapy, I'd say it's even worse than my old N95, even with a higher resolution sensor. It's a pity I guess. Im afraid that this is not a "front line model" in shops so it carries worse guts within than other models like s3, s4.
I'll upload later some pics made by the cam.
By the way, I haven't found how to access mass memory with USB cable. I've read that you need to be root to do it in 4.xx and install some sort of software.
WTF IS THIS. IOS? Come on

Wonder what are the chances we will be seeing a port of this to the Ouya? Or if it is even possible. Really excited to see the developer preview come tomorrow.
It should be possible. Any devs want some help testing?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I was thinking exactly same idea when i saw their keynote yesterday.
Or there is way to put like Chromecast on it instead?
Well, i doubt this will be released open-source, since previous versions (Google TV) has not. But it should still be portable once we get an Android L custom ROM.
Once CM12 gets released for OUYA, i think i might be able to port it...
Ouya does not meet the hardware requirements (1GB RAM < 2GB RAM).

When has that ever stopped the Devs before
I'm not saying it's impossible - but I imagine that if Google says you need 2GB RAM, then a port to a 1GB RAM machine, especially with a dated CPU like the Tegra 3, probably won't run all that well.
We guys have a new player in the Android Market the manufacturer of the phone is Turing Robotic Industries
the first product by this organisation is a turning phone according rumors some people are very impressed by the design and the build of this android device so lets get into the technical specs.
