Hello everybody. I hope someone can help me. I ll fly to spain in two days for a week. i live in germany and my provider (o2) has an roaming option for 3,50 eur 10mb 3g data per day, then the provider turn the speed down to gprs or edge. so i downt want to surf with the browser or watch videos in youtube with this option because in the hotel ive got free wifi. but when im not on the hotel i would like to receive puch mails, whatsapp messages, tweet notifications and also facebook push notification. i know the phone syncs oft a day, but i downt want that the phone syncs when im not at the hotel, but i would receive push mail, notfications etc without to consume unnecessary data. anybody can help me which services can i decativate when im not at the hotel, but still receive notifications without using so much traffic? below are my accounts and standart sync options. thank u

Have a look at Synker in Play Store. You can set a custom sync widget so you can control what syncs
you can desync :
stocks
weather
picasa
or use a third party software from the play store like Synker.

On my T-Mobile MDA Compact III, if the GPRS connection is in use IE ActiveSync using it, the phone cannot be used?
If someone calls it just goes to voicemail and never rings, if you try sending an sms it stays in the outbox and if you try to make a call it pops up a box saying the call cannot be made, check network coverage etc?
I have found a thread that seems to be about a similar issue Here.
Turning off Push Email seems to help, but thats because the data connection is just sat idle.
I would have thought the data connection would have ended for voice calls?
I was wondering if anyone else had experianced these issues?
I am running the WM6 WWE ROM, the Radio and Extended ROM are T-Mobile UK out of the box standard.

I have the same issue, but just posted to another topic on the same issue before I saw your thread.
I use an O2 Orbit on T-Mobile Web n Walk and when AS or IE etc are downloading data all my calls go straight to voicemail.
Im logged into my facebook and twitter accounts but when i try to post a status message, the friend stream app shows this

Well it could be that youre not signed into the HTC version of these apps. So go to Settings< accounts & sync< add account and if you see Facebook or Twitter for HTC Sense. then you're not logged into those services. Which would draw the message you recieved.

I am seeing the same thing. It seemed to have started since the "new" facebook update came out. I have not been able to get it to refresh since last friday, and when I tried to upload a picture I saw the same screen.
Even I'm facing this same issue on my Sensation
By now you've probably noticed that when clicking through to a contact, their picture is stretched across the width of the screen (720 pixels). Since the max resolution supported by contact pictures in ICS is 256x256, this can have a less than desired effect. Even when manually adding high-res pictures (set as->contact), they will still only be saved to the cloud as 256x256.

However if you've avoided social media syncing, you probably didn't know that you can integrate this functionality to the contact page. While integrated, you can go from the normal contact page and flip to the right to get that persons social media updates (Google+, facebook, twitter, etc).
Why are these things related? Because when you integrate social media to contacts, the contact screen 'splits' somewhat and gives you a little tab up top so you know you can flip to the right.
Problem: not every wants social media sync'd, and not all your friends may necessarily use social media. What I want to do is force this 'flip' for every one of my contacts, and just have it be blank if there isn't social media sync'd or they don't have social media.
Could this be done?

I've been trying to send some pictures to myself and it they just... won't. It sits there saying Sending forever. They're not large pictures or anything. I had this happen last night and when I woke up they had eventually sent.
Happening over 3G and LTE, tried cycling airplane mode, rebooting, etc... when I go to Accounts and Sync, it shows a sync icon next to Gmail but its not spinning. I can uncheck and check it again and it spins for a moment, then stops without completing.
Oh, and running AOKP b38 with francokernel.
Any ideas?

Yep had the same issue tried to send screenshots to a dev from app....I dint resolve it... Sent from my computer instead.
Its a pain but just clear cache on gmail then force stop it. Then clear data. You will have to resetup the settings withing gmail but this should fix you up. Happenes to me. Once in a while, but a data clear always works. Maybe it will work for you.

Guys, i sell items in pokemon go and i need do log in in the buyer’s google account. Even if the sync is off, everytime i log in my phone, it sync every single contact. I would like to know a way to NOT sync nothing of the buyer’s account and remove all the contacts that belong to them.
-I already tried to disable in the settings
-And tried to disable in the contacts app.

Go to settings/accounts/Google...open then account you will see sync option..tick it then un-tick what you dont want to sync
